Controlling the electrode-electrolyte interfacial behavior is crucial for achieving a high-quality solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) and ensuring sustainable battery performance. Here, we propose a selective catalysis strategy to stabilize antimony atom-cluster (Sb) anode/electrolyte interface for robust potassium-ion batteries (PIBs). Specifically, the electrode featuring Sb in porous carbon (Sb/PC) as "electrocatalyst" unduly catalyzes the reduction of the dimethyl ether-based electrolyte, resulting in loose SEI layer and rapid capacity decay.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) constructed with porphyrins as organic ligands have attracted considerable attention due to their excellent nonlinear optical (NLO) properties. Developing innovative synthetic strategies and structural designs to improve the NLO response of porphyrin-based MOFs has become a prominent research area. In this paper, HTCPP MOF and CuTCPP MOF were synthesized by hydrothermal method with Co as metal node, and HTCPP and CuTCPP as ligands, respectively.

In order to study the development of overburden fractures and the distribution characteristics of the “three zones” in extra-thick coal seams, a rota-table physical similarity simulation test platform was used to analyze the deformation and failure characteristics of overburden during the mining of extra-thick coal seams. The displacement patterns of key layers were measured under different excavation distances. A statistical analysis of the overburden fracture distribution was conducted, revealing the evolution characteristics of fracture development in the overburden with increasing advancing distance.

Accurate image quality evaluation is essential for optimizing sensor performance and enhancing the fidelity of visual data. The concept of "image style" encompasses the overall visual characteristics of an image, including elements such as colors, textures, shapes, lines, strokes, and other visual components. In this paper, we propose a novel full-reference image quality assessment (FR-IQA) method that leverages the principles of style transfer, which we call style- and content-based IQA (SCIQA).

Considering the problems of having insufficient fault identification from single information sources in actual industrial environments, and different information sensitivity in multi-information source data, and different sensitivity of artificial feature extraction, which can lead to difficulties of effective fusion of equipment information, insufficient state representation ability, low fault identification accuracy, and poor robustness, a multi-information fusion fault identification network model based on deep ensemble learning is proposed. The network is composed of multiple sub-feature extraction units and feature fusion units. Firstly, the fault feature mapping information of each information source is extracted and stored in different sub-models, and then, the features of each sub-model are fused by the feature fusion unit.

High overpotential and instability of Mg anode reactions limit the development of halide-free Mg battery electrolytes. Here, we report 7-aminoindole (7AID), a predominantly noncoordinating additive that modulates solvation via CH-π and hydrogen-bonding interactions with both Mg-bound and free ether solvents. These outer-shell and bulk-phase interactions weaken Mg···solvent binding, enhance solvent mobility, and lower the desolvation barrier.

Variations in host species significantly impact bacterial growth traits and antibiotic resistance, making it essential to consider host origin when evaluating the zoonotic potential of pathogens. This study focuses on multiple Brucella species, which share highly similar genetic material, to explore the relationship between host origin and zoonotic potential by integrating pan-genome-wide association studies (pan-GWAS) with machine learning (ML). Our results present an open pangenome of Brucella spp.

In order to ensure the safety of the coalbed methane pump station and the underground coalbed methane extraction system, the low-concentration coalbed methane transmission pipeline needs to be installed with fire arresters. The traditional fire arrester design is not standardized, the reliability of the fire prevention effect is low, and the resistance is large. Based on the theory of flame quenching, through numerical simulation and experimental methods, this paper studies the structure of fire arresters suitable for the safety assurance system of low-concentration coalbed methane transportation, so as to provide safety assurance for the raw gas transmission of low-concentration coalbed methane utilization devices.

To study the initial characteristics of gas desorption in high-rank soft and hard coals, a purpose-built constant-temperature gas desorption device was used to conduct gas desorption experiments on three groups of collected high-rank soft and hard coal samples. The results show that the gas desorption index ( ) of drill cuttings from soft and hard coals follows a power function relationship with the adsorption equilibrium pressure. Under the same adsorption equilibrium pressure, the gas desorption index ( ) of drill cuttings from soft coal is 1.

Zinc‑, iron‑, and magnesium‑based biodegradable metals suffer inherent limitations as bioresorbable scaffold materials, including inappropriate degradation rates and insufficient mechanical strength. Pure molybdenum (Mo) has been proposed as an alternative, but its clinical application is hampered by brittleness and potential nephrotoxicity. A Mo alloy was engineered to address these challenges.

Two-dimensional (2D) metals have drawn great attention because of their extraordinary properties, especially in applications that favor van der Waals interaction. The development of advanced characterization tools has facilitated the understanding of formation or growth mechanisms of 2D metals. In this perspective, we discuss 5 common approaches to obtaining 2D metals, including, (top down) van der Waals squeezing and selective extraction, and (bottom up) electron beam-induced growth, self-assembly, and graphene-templated wet chemistry growth.

Traditional entity-relationship joint extraction models are typically designed to address generic domain data, which limits their effectiveness when applied to domain-specific applications such as manufacturing. This study presents the DeBERTa-based Potential Relationship Multi-Headed Self-Attention Joint Extraction Model (DPRM), which has been specifically designed to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of entity-relationship extraction in manufacturing knowledge graphs. The model is comprised of three core components: a semantic representation module, a relationship extraction and entity recognition module, and a global entity pairing module.

Object detection in remote sensing images (RSIs) is facilitated by oriented bounding boxes, yet rotated boxes (RBoxes) are typically more labor-intensive than horizontal boxes (HBoxes). Consequently, there is a tendency in most research to explore HBox-based weakly-supervised detectors with self-supervised constraints on spatial transformations. However, such weakly-supervised networks for HBoxes tend to focus on the most discriminative parts of objects, which can adversely affect the network's location accuracy.
