Panic Disorder (PD) is a prevalent psychiatric condition characterized by recurrent episodes of acute severe anxiety. These episodes frequently present with symptoms that overlap with those of cardiovascular diseases (CVD), such as elevated blood pressure and chest pain. Despite the prevalence and impact of this comorbidity, the underlying mechanisms are not well understood and remain underexplored.

Background: Baseline tumor burden (TB), measured radiographically, has emerged as a potential biomarker for stratifying survival outcomes with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) across solid tumors. However, the predictive value for ICI plus chemotherapy (chemoimmunotherapy) in NSCLC has not been confirmed with large cohorts that include a chemotherapy-only control group.
Methods: This post hoc analysis utilized data from ORIENT-11 trial, a phase III, randomized clinical trial of advanced NSCLC patients who were administered with either chemoimmunotherapy or chemotherapy alone.
Background: This study investigated the application of software-based data monitoring for quality control (QC) in continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) management.
Methods: This single-center pre-post intervention study, conducted in three ICUs of a tertiary hospital in Shanghai, compared outcomes before (Jan-Dec 2023) and after (Jan-Dec 2024) implementing the Sharesource Connect system. Data from 9 Prismaflex CRRT machines were collected retrospectively during 2023 and prospectively on a monthly basis during 2024.
Background: To enhance the taste and flavor quality of brown rice cake, various processing methods are employed, including internal enzyme germination modification, extrusion, stabilization of rice bran, exogenous enzyme hydrolysis, and backfilling. This study aimed to compare the texture, volatile flavor substances, taste changes, and internal texture structure of brown rice cakes subjected to different modification treatments, thereby clarifying the impact of these treatments on the overall quality of the brown rice cake.
Results: Following extrusion and enzymatic hydrolysis, the characteristic viscosity and disintegration value of brown rice flour decreased, while the recovery value and gelatinization temperature increased significantly.
This study explored the mechanisms by which sodium alginate (SA) improved the stability and release efficiency of lutein (Lut) encapsulated in binary complexes of soybean protein isolate (SPI) and quercetin (Que). The addition of SA increased the fluorescence intensity of the interfacial protein, resulting in increased β-turn (22.94 %) and random coil contents (27.

Melanin protects skin from ultraviolet rays, but excessive or misdistributed synthesis can cause issues like melasma, freckles, or melanoma. Rhein from traditional Chinese herbs shows various bioactivities, with recent structural modifications enhancing its derivatives, but its effect on melanogenesis is unreported. The study reports synthesizing and evaluating D16, Rhein-based proteolysis targeting chimera (PROTACs) utilizing pomalidomide as an E3 ligand.

Emerging evidence has revealed bidirectional communication between the gut microbiome and the central nervous system, termed the "microbiota-gut-brain axis". This axis serves as a critical regulator of glial cell function, positioning it as an essential target for ameliorating the onset and progression of ischemic stroke.

In the context of national policies and standards aimed at promoting an increase in the prefabrication rate, recent investigations have revealed that the environmental benefits of prefabricated construction cannot be consistently realized, and the lack of data on the development of prefabricated construction has resulted in limited related research. To address this issue, this paper tackles the issue of inadequate data on indicators pertaining to the growth of prefabricated construction by utilizing crawler technology.

Methods: We conducted a network meta-analysis (NMA) to assess the impact of anti-TNF-α (adalimumab, etanercept, golimumab, and infliximab), IL-17 inhibitors (secukinumab, bimekizumab, and ixekizumab), and JAK inhibitors (tofacitinib and upadacitinib) on new-onset and recurrent uveitis. Phase II/III double-blind randomized controlled trials and cohort studies were included.
Atmospheric heavy metals (HMs) posed a continuing threat to humans and ecosystems, and it is therefore essential to identify their source and sink processes. Wet deposition (rainwater) is an important sink for atmospheric HMs, thereby effectively diminishing their atmospheric levels. However, previous studies of rainwater HMs mainly focused on coastal metropolitan areas, resulting in a relative lack of studies concerned inland small cities (especially those influenced by mountain topography).

This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of washed microbiota transplantation (WMT) in managing TKI-induced GAEs. This prospective study involved cancer patients presenting TKI-induced GAEs.

In a vast variety of prokaryotes such as and , the DNA degradation (Dnd) CDE protein complex (consisting of DndC, DndD, and DndE), together with the DndA/IscS protein and the DndFGH complex, function as a defense barrier to prevent the invasion of non-self-DNA. The DndCDE complex introduces phosphorothioation (PT) modifications into DNA, and the DndFGH complex specifically cleaves non-PT DNA and, thus, restricts horizontal gene transfer and phage invasion. Despite the central importance of the DndCDE complex in DNA PT modification, which catalyzes the oxygen-sulfur swap on DNA, our understanding of this key complex remains poor.

Active metasurfaces have garnered significant attention due to their potential to replace conventional bulky optical systems, offering advantages in terms of reduced weight and compactness. In this study, we introduce the incident angle as a novel degree of freedom for controlling wavefront modulation in dielectric metasurfaces. By utilizing the angular dispersion of Mie resonances supported by a silicon ring disk, different reflective phases are modulated under varying incident angles.

The effects of conventional polyethylene (PE) and biodegradable (PBAT and PLA) film residues on soil health, microbial communities, and crop productivity under field conditions have not been adequately investigated.
Methods: This study simulated the accumulation of PE film residues from over 30 years of continuous mulching and evaluated PBAT and PLA film residues under field conditions, examining their effects on soil physicochemical properties, microbial communities and rapeseed performance.
Objective: Prediction is a fundamental cognitive process that facilitates adaptive interactions with the environment. The Prediction-Related Experiences Questionnaire (PRE-Q), a 19-item measure, assesses individuals' everyday predictive abilities. This study aimed to develop and validate a Chinese version (PRE-Q-C) by translating and adapting the original scale and examining its psychometric properties in a large Chinese sample.

Herein, three amine-functionalized amphiphilic materials(MAM) were synthesized via a high-speed shear dispersion emulsification technique. These materials were employed as SPME fiber coatings to enhance the selectivity for negatively charged ECs, attributed to their substantial specific surface area (679-693 m/g), high ion-exchange capacity (1.

Background: The study aimed to address the characteristics of grape seed polyphenols (GSPs), such as high hydrophilicity and poor stability in fats and oils, as well as the poor digestive properties of traditional cookies due to their high fat content. A GSP delivery system based on water-in-oil (W/O) emulsion technology was innovatively developed, aiming at solving the difficult problem of the limited application of GSPs in high-fat cookie systems. In this study, we explored the potential application of GSPs in functional cookie products by constructing a GSP-tea seed oil stabilized emulsion system.
