Intrafibrillar mineralization plays an important role in dentin repair. Current research on intrafibrillar mineralization primarily focuses on the precise positioning of mineral precursors within collagen and the reduction of mineralization time. Inspired by the multifunctionality of noncollagenous proteins (NCPs), we developed a dual-analogue system, 10-methacryloyloxydecyl dihydrogen phosphate (10-MDP) followed by 3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-l-alanine (l-DOPA)-stabilized amorphous calcium phosphate (M + LA), which integrated a nucleation inhibitor l-DOPA and inducer 10-MDP.

Aims: Individuals with prior depressive episodes have a more fragile homeostasis, but the exploration of depression recurrence remains limited. Our study aimed to explore the associations of allostatic load (AL) and frailty with the risk of depression recurrence.
Methods: This study included 9,936 individuals from the UK Biobank who reported depression prior to recruitment.
Melanoma, a highly aggressive skin cancer, presents significant therapeutic challenges owing to its metastatic potential. Targeting deoxyhypusine synthase (DHPS), a pivotal enzyme in the activation of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5A (eIF5A), emerges as a promising therapeutic strategy for melanoma. In this study, we designed and synthesized a series of 2-benzyl-5-(2-methoxybenzyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives as novel allosteric DHPS inhibitors.

Background: The relationship between isolated iliac aneurysms (IIAs) and acute aortic dissection (AAD) is uncertain. We aimed to determine the prevalence of IIAs in patients with AAD and evaluate the independent risk factors for the presence of IIAs in them.
Methods: Seven patients were confirmed to have AAD with IIAs (AAD + IIA group) who had undergone computed tomography angiography (CTA).
Background: Harringtonine (HT), derived from the genus Cephalotaxus, has demonstrated anti-proliferative effects against non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU), a cost-effective chemotherapy, faces resistance issues in NSCLC. Thus, exploring HT's mechanisms in inhibiting NSCLC proliferation and overcoming 5-FU resistance is clinically important.

Te substitution at different atomic layers leads to a substantial reduction in lattice thermal conductivity, primarily due to enhanced phonon scattering induced by mass contrast and local structural asymmetry. The electronic transport characteristics, including band dispersion, carrier effective mass, and Seebeck coefficient, remain largely unaffected, ensuring preserved power factor.

To address this, this study proposes a cross-modal 3D face generation framework based on single-view semantic masks. It utilizes Swin Transformer for multi-level feature extraction and combines with NeRF for illumination decoupled rendering.

A physical model of this method is established, which determines the optimal surface profile of the gradient light intensity trap, thereby aiding in achieving ideal results for multi-channel beams in both modulation and non-modulation. Subsequently, the feasibility of the method is verified in the laboratory, where tip/tilt aberrations are corrected by adaptive fiber-optics collimators during the beam-combining process.

For free-space optical communication, high-power, high-quality vortex beams with a high signal-to-noise ratio are critical for long-distance communication. Coherent beam combining (CBC) of vortex beams enables the enhancement of power while maintaining high beam quality.

Unlabelled: Oxaliplatin (Oxa) has been extensively employed in treatment of colorectal cancer (CRC), yet frequent occurrence of chemoresistance poses a significant obstacle to achieving long-term disease-free survival for CRC patients. In this study, we employed a CRISPR/Cas9 sgRNA library targeting 1,117 human ubiquitination-related genes to screen key regulators of sensitivity to Oxa and identified the Makorin Ring Finger Protein 1 (MKRN1), an E3 ligase, as an Oxa-resistant gene of CRC cells. Clinically, MKRN1 is highly expressed in CRC tissues compared with the adjacent normal tissue, and its upregulation is correlated with poor therapeutic response, disease progression, and worse overall survival of CRC patients treated with Oxa-based regimens.

Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy has shown promise in treating hematologic malignancies, but it still faces challenges, including high costs, a time-consuming manufacturing process, and the necessity of lymphodepletion. Here, we generate circular RNAs (circRNAs) encoding CAR proteins, referred to as circRNA, which mediates remarkable tumor killing in human primary T cells. We demonstrate that circRNA, delivered with immunocyte-tropic lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), can form in vivo panCAR cells (CAR-T, CAR-natural killer [NK], and CAR-macrophage), significantly inhibit tumor growth, and reshape the tumor microenvironment in mice.

The fabricated nanoneedles exhibit excellent mechanical stability and can be selectively repaired by retransferring the BF membrane to the damaged areas. Hydrophilic modification imparts excellent underwater antibubble and superoleophobic properties to the NNAs, with oil droplet contact angles of >170° and 96.
