The large‑scale accumulation of coal gangue poses serious environmental and land‑use challenges, yet its direct use as concrete aggregate has been hindered by low reactivity, high porosity, and weak interfacial bonding. Although prior studies have examined thermal activation of coal gangue, the interplay among calcination temperature, pore‑size evolution, and mesoscale failure mechanisms in a unified multi‑scale framework remains underexplored. This study presents a multi‑scale experimental and numerical investigation of thermally activated coal gangue aggregate concrete, focusing on ITZ evolution and failure mechanisms.

Background: The present study was aimed to compare the clinical outcomes following double-bundle (DB) ACL reconstruction (ACLR) with the outcomes following single-bundle (SB) ACLR in skeletally mature teenagers.
Methods: A total of 113 skeletally mature teenagers with unilateral ACL injury, who underwent primary ACLR using hamstring autograft with minimum 2 years follow-up, were included. This included 82 DB ACLR (median 16.
Gasdermin D (GSDMD)-induced pyroptosis is associated with inflammatory disease. However, the role of GSDMD in acute pancreatitis (AP) is not yet fully elucidated. This study reveals that GSDMD serves two distinct functions in pancreatic acinar cells and macrophages.

Remarkable advancements in arthroscopic techniques and biological stimuli have been achieved in the past decades, which may change expectations regarding the potential of ACL healing and clinical outcomes for patients. In this study, a global expert consensus on the primary repair of proximal ACL injuries was established.

With the continuous advancement of modern agricultural technologies, the demand for precision fruit-picking techniques has been increasing. This study addresses the challenge of accurate recognition and harvesting of winter peaches by proposing a novel recognition model based on the residual network (ResNet) architecture-WinterPeachNet-aimed at enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of winter peach detection, even in resource-constrained environments. The WinterPeachNet model achieves a comprehensive improvement in network performance by integrating depthwise separable inverted bottleneck ResNet (DIBResNet), bidirectional feature pyramid network (BiFPN) structure, GhostConv module, and the YOLOv11 detection head (v11detect).

With the increasing threats of global climate change and human activities to terrestrial ecosystems, understanding the quality of alpine grassland ecosystems and their influencing factors is fundamental for effective ecosystem management and improving human well-being. However, current adaptive management plans for alpine grasslands based on multi-criteria assessment are limited. This study utilized field investigations at 77 sampling points, drone remote sensing, and satellite remote sensing data to construct an alpine grassland quality index based on vegetation and soil indicators, and assess the ecosystem's resilience and pressure.

Background: Osteoarthritis (OA) is characterized by pain, functional impairments, muscle weakness, and joint stiffness. Since OA heightens reliance on heath care resources and exacerbates socioeconomic burden, remote OA rehabilitation using digital technologies is rapidly evolving.
Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the efficacy of behavioral therapy-based digital interventions for patients with OA.
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a highly aggressive hematological malignancy with a significant unmet clinical need for new therapeutic agents. Lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1), a key regulator of leukemia stem cell self-renewal, has emerged as a promising epigenetic target for AML treatment. Herein, we employed an innovative multi-step integrated screening protocol, encompassing pharmacophore modeling, docking screening, molecular dynamics simulation, and biological evaluation, to identify novel LSD1 inhibitors.

This phase Ib study investigates the efficacy and safety of SCT200, an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) antibody, combined with paclitaxel or docetaxel in R/M HNSCC patients who have failed both platinum-based chemotherapy and programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) inhibitors. This was a multicenter, open-label study enrolling patients with resistance or intolerance to platinum-based chemotherapy and PD-1 inhibitors.

Dearomative functionalization of heteroarenes offers an attractive and sustainable approach for the rapid construction of complex 3D heterocyclic scaffolds from planar structures. Despite progress in this field, dearomative amination of heteroarenes a radical anion intermediate remains a challenge. Here, we report a photoredox-catalyzed dearomative hydroamination of heteroarenes with hydrazodiformates under mild and transition-metal-free reaction conditions.

Herein, the polysaccharide-based injectable hydrogels with multifunctionality were developed by a simple and fast gelation process not only to inactivate bacteria but also to accelerate bacteria-infected wound healing. Sodium nitroprusside (SNP) loaded PCN-224 nanoparticles were introduced into the polymer matrix formed by the dynamic and reversible coordinate bonds between Ag with carboxyl and amino or hydroxyl groups on carboxymethyl chitosan (CMCS), hydrogen bonds and electrostatic interactions in the polymer to fabricate SNP@PCN@Gel hydrogels.

Despite the longstanding utility of colistin, the complexities surrounding polymyxins in terms of resistance mechanisms and pharmacological properties warrant critical attention. This review consolidates current literature, focusing on polymyxins antibacterial mechanisms, resistance pathways, and innovative strategies to mitigate resistance.

Embodied cognition holds that one's body, actions, perceptions, and situations are integrated into the cognitive process and emphasizes the fact that sensorimotor systems play a role in language comprehension. Previous studies verified the embodied effect in literal language processing but few of them paid attention to metaphors in embodied cognition. The present study aims to explore the embodied effect in the comprehension of Chinese action-verb metaphor.

This approach enables the facile construction of a series of complex terminal 1,7-octadienes with an all-carbon quaternary center under mild reaction conditions, and the synthetic utility of the current method has been demonstrated by a gram scale synthesis. Preliminary mechanism investigations suggested that a radical pathway might not be involved in this transformation.
