Background: The classification of mitral regurgitation (MR) based on echocardiography is highly dependent on the expertise of specialized physicians and is often time-consuming. This study aims to develop an artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted decision-making system to improve the accuracy and efficiency of MR classification.
Methods: We utilized 754 echocardiography videos from 266 subjects to develop an MR classification model.

Background And Objective: As a non-thermal ablation modality, pulsed field ablation (PFA) has been widely applied in solid tumor treatment and cardiac ablation. Multiple factors are known to influence the effects of PFA, including pulse parameters, catheter configurations, and tissue properties. However, limited attention has been paid to the impact of discharge modes on PFA.

Acute and long-term toxicity studies were conducted in Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats with equal numbers of male and female animals.

This study aimed to investigate the predictive factors of fetal cardiac-NL in anti-SSA/SSB antibody-positive pregnant women.A total of 669 pregnant women with positive anti-SSA/SSB antibodies were retrospectively included.

However, their efficacy in enriching antigens within target cells remains limited, and the use of immunomodulators poses a risk for systemic immunosuppression. Here, an apoptotic erythrocyte-derived membrane is developed for the first time, demonstrating its strong abilities to target hepatic antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and stimulate negative regulatory pathways.

This study examined the effects of bamboo surface microbiota, including virulence factors, antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs), and mobile genetic elements from different bamboo parts (leaves, shoots, and culms), on giant panda gut microbiota using three pairs of twins. Results showed that bamboo and fecal samples shared 1670 microbial species, with shoot surface microbiota contributing the highest proportion (21%, Bayesian source tracking) of contemporaneous gut microbiota, primarily by increasing abundances of Escherichia coli and ARGs.

This study aimed to assess whether SlowflowHD imaging technology could qualitatively evaluate alterations in placental vascular structure in CHD.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted using SlowflowHD to image placental vasculature in 215 fetuses, normal (n = 106) and CHD (n = 109) including critical CHD (CCHD) (n = 66) and other fetal heart disease (FHD) (n = 43).
Background: Congenital heart disease (CHD) exhibits a marked male predominance in birth prevalence, yet the genetic mechanisms underlying this sex disparity remain poorly understood. This study investigates the contribution of rare damaging variants on autosomes and the X chromosome to sex differences in foetal CHD.
Methods: Parents of foetuses with CHD were recruited for the study.
This study develops a photoelectrochemical solution-gated graphene field-effect transistor (PEC-SGGT) for ultrasensitive organophosphates (OPs) detection, merging optoelectronic modulation with enzymatic signal amplification. The sensor employs a hybrid system of cadmium sulfide quantum dots (CdS QDs) and acetylcholinesterase (AChE), using acetylthiocholine (ATCh) as the substrate. Under light, CdS QDs generate electron-hole pairs, while AChE hydrolyzes ATCh into thiocholine (TCh), which enhances charge separation and amplifies photocurrent.

Mucosal vaccines are considered an ideal choice for combating mucosal pathogens due to their ability to neutralize pathogens at the first line of defense. However, the development of mucosal subunit vaccines is constricted by rigorous challenges, such as low immunogenicity, poor antigen delivery efficiency, and mucosal tolerance. Here, a buccal microneedle patch incorporated with engineered nanoparticles loaded with urease B subunit (rUreB) was developed to overcome the above challenges.

Objectives: Normal fetal echocardiography ratios reflect blood flow balance and developmental patterns, providing a basis for more accurate diagnosis and prediction of congenital heart disease in fetuses. Despite its significance, standardized studies with ample samples are lacking. We aim to establish reference ranges for fetal cardiac structural parameters and hemodynamics using extensive multicenter data, including 11 ratios, and to clarify how these ratios change with gestational age.

Background: Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) is a primary method for treating malignant liver tumors; however, the occurrence of liver abscesses after TACE has always been a concern. With the evolution of time, TACE techniques and practical experience continue to advance, leading to a deeper understanding of post-TACE liver abscesses. This meta-analysis aimed to comprehensively examine the occurrence of liver abscesses after TACE and focus on its changing trends.

However, due to excessive and repeated use, resistance rates have exceeded 90% in some regions. The mechanisms of MNZ resistance have been extensively studied, and RdxA has been identified as the primary enzyme responsible for MNZ activation.

The intestinal microbiota is important for the health of the host and recent studies have shown that some genes of the host regulated the composition of the intestinal microbiota. Group 10 phospholipase A2 (PLA2G10) is a member of the lipolytic enzyme family PLA2, which hydrolyze the ester bond at the sn-2 position of phospholipids to produce free fatty acids and lysophospholipids. PLA2G10 is secreted into the intestinal lumen, but its impact on the gut microbiota remains unclear.

Methods: The study involved 99 SLE-affected fetuses and 99 gestational age-matched controls. The fetal cardiac morphology and function parameters were calculated using STE (FetalHQ).
Mainstream knowledge distillation methods primarily include self-distillation, offline distillation, online distillation, output-based distillation, and feature-based distillation. While each approach has its respective advantages, they are typically employed independently. Simply combining two distillation methods often leads to redundant information.

Furthermore, we aim to validate the predictive capabilities of these Z score calculation formulas in fetuses with diverse right heart diseases.
Methods: A total of 8,953 singleton low-risk fetuses and 70 fetuses diagnosed with different types of right heart diseases were retrospectively enrolled.
Adeno-associated viruses (AAV) have significant potential as vaccine carriers due to their excellent biosafety and efficient antigen gene delivery. However, most AAV vaccines show limited capacity to transduce antigen-presenting cells (APCs) following intramuscular injection which may cause inadequate cellular immune responses and undesired side effects due to transducing other tissues or cells. Herein, we developed a soluble microneedle patch for targeting the AAV vaccines to the epidermal and dermal APCs.
