Introduction: Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition marked by excessive M1 macrophage polarization and angiogenesis, resulting in erythema and tissue inflammation. Despite available treatments, many patients experience recurrent flare-ups. This study explores chelerythrine, a bioactive component of Phellodendri Chinensis Cortex, for its therapeutic potential in rosacea through modulation of NF-κB, p38 MAPK and STAT3 signaling, inflammation, and vascular regulation.

Computational insights enabled a comprehensive analysis of factors governing N-nucleophilicity and an accurate prediction of cycloaddition reactivity with electron-deficient alkenes. Notably, this study represents the first asymmetric [3 + 2] cycloaddition of amino-allyl cations with exocyclic double bonds, enabling the efficient synthesis of -pyrrolidines with excellent diastereoselectivities and enantioselectivities.

In particular, it is unclear how net clinical benefit varies by blood pressure target and patient characteristics. We aimed to quantify the benefit-harm trade-offs of intensive blood pressure control versus standard blood pressure control.

Purpose: Investigate the correlation between chronic inflammatory indicators and DPN in hospitalized elderly patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and to build a prediction model to provide scientific basis for early identification of high-risk groups.
Patients And Methods: Clinical data of 270 elderly T2DM patients hospitalized in the People's Hospital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region from January 2021 to December 2024 were selected and classified into a diabetic peripheral neuropathy group (DPN, n=163) and a non-diabetic peripheral neuropathy group (NDPN, n=107) depending on the presence of DPN. Clinical features, biochemical indicators and peripheral blood inflammatory indicators (PLR, NLR, MLR, SII, SIRI) of patients were collected, and a predictive model was constructed by logistic regression analysis.

The large-scale retirement of LiFePO (LFP) batteries demands sustainable strategies for material recovery and functional repurposing. However, the inert micrometer-scale morphology and electronically stable lattice of spent LFP hinder its direct catalytic reuse. Herein, we present a structure-guided strategy that upcycles spent LFP into a high-performance oxygen evolution reaction (OER) electrocatalyst.

This study develops MOF-derived Mn-Co and Ce-Co oxide catalysts for energy-efficient benzene oxidation via microwave catalysis. The MnCo spinel oxides (particularly MnCo11-400) exhibit superior microwave absorption and catalytic activity due to enhanced oxygen mobility and tailored dielectric properties.

Here, full-hydrogel bioelectronics that demonstrate superior mechanical compliance and impedance matching with 3D peripheral nerves, allowing for low-voltage vagus nerve stimulation, are reported. By precisely tuning the dimensional parameters through 3D printing, the hydrogel bioelectronics, initially in a 2D planar form in a dehydrated state, can curl spontaneously around nerves and form a seamless interface.

Although () TCCC11824 (CGMCC 8198) has shown antiobesity effects, its active components remained unclear. This study reveals that the TCCC11824 crushed supernatant (LpS) exerts broad antiobesity activities in high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obese mice. LpS significantly improved blood lipid profiles, reduced hepatic injury, and suppressed inflammation in liver and epididymal fat.

Rapidly mutating Y-STRs (RM Y-STRs) have been shown to have greater potential to distinguish males from males in the patrilineal line. Therefore, a novel 5-dye fluorescent multiplex system with 30 Y-STRs was developed and optimized to screen out more RM Y-STRs and fasting mutating Y-STRs (FM Y-STRs).

The High Pressure Air Blasting (HPAB) is one of the main feasible technologies to improve the efficiency of unconventional gas extraction. Currently, there is little research on the visualization of the evolution of pore structure and seepage characteristics in coal under HPAB, resulting in unclear understanding of the formation of 3D pore network structure in coal under HPAB, the interconnection of pores and fissures, and the mechanism of gas seepage and diffusion under HPAB.

To address this challenge, we incorporated SR-57227, a ligand of serotonin [5-hydroxytryptamine type 3 (5-HT)] receptor, into the design of ionizable lipids to develop lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for systemic mRNA delivery to the brain. OS4T LNP was identified as an optimized formulation based on multiple assays.

Integrated proteomics and metabolomics elucidated carbon allocation pathways during blue light-regulated stem development. Results demonstrated that blue light, compared to red light, significantly inhibited plant height, with stronger inhibition under 100 % shading.

Methods: In this retrospective multicenter study, a total of 195 patients with pathologically confirmed HGSOC who underwent cytoreductive surgery followed by platinum-based chemotherapy were included from two institutions (train cohort, n = 134; test cohort, n = 61). From the train cohort, univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression analyses systematically evaluated associations between clinicoradiological features and PFS, culminating in a clinical prediction model for stratifying progression risk.

Activated fibroblasts are major mediators of pulmonary fibrosis. Fibroblasts are generally found in the connective tissue but upon activation can generate excess extracellular matrix (ECM) in the lung interstitial section. Therefore, fibroblasts are one of the most targeted cells for treating idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).

While the RNA-binding protein LIN28B has been reported to promote the progression of EC, its mechanistic role in driving tumor progression and immune modulation remains poorly characterized. This study specifically investigates whether LIN28B promotes EC progression through MYC upregulation and its influence on tumor immune microenvironment remodeling.

Purpose: Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) planning for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) typically prescribes the maximum dose associated with an acceptable risk of toxicity, relying on implicit trade-offs between efficacy and toxicity. To make this trade-off quantitative, we developed a utility-based approach to dose selection for SBRT in HCC and studied the expected effects on clinical outcomes.
Methods And Materials: Using a multi-institutional cohort of SBRT-treated patients, we developed predictive models for local progression, competing mortality, and liver toxicity, defined as an increase of 0.

Here, we compare the phylogeographic patterns of two sister species of isopods (genus ) that have broadly overlapping distributions but distinct habitat preferences in the supralittoral zone of Chile. The dynamic geoclimatic history of this region during the Quaternary has been implicated in shaping the evolutionary histories of other coastal taxa.
