Mastermind-like transcriptional coactivator (MAML) gene fusions have been documented in Thymic Epithelial Tumors (TETs). Specifically, lysine methyltransferase 2A (KMT2A)::MAML2 gene fusions are associated with type B2 and B3 thymomas. Here, we report for the first time a young patient with invasive type B3 thymoma harboring a novel KMT2A::MAML3 gene fusion.

Indices in three domains (error alerts, time taken for work, and level of satisfaction) were selected. Records were compared for two groups, namely the IAWMS group (records after implementation of IAWMS from March 2024 to September 2024) and the control group (manual work before implementation of IAWMS from July 2023 to December 2023).

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) technology demonstrates strong potential for trace VOC gas detection due to its ultra-high sensitivity and immunity to water interference. However, while surface plasmon resonance (SPR)-free semiconductor substrates offer superior spectral stability and selectivity, their sensitivity toward VOC detection remains suboptimal.

Complete decongestive therapy is recognized as the gold standard for non-surgical management of this condition. However, the lived experiences of patients undergoing complete decongestive therapy have been largely overlooked in existing research.

The relationship between biodiversity and ecosystem functioning is well documented in multiple ecosystems such as grasslands and forests, yet in harsh alpine environments where the formation and maintenance of diversity face significant challenges, it remains largely underexplored. This study examines the role of multiple alpine cushion plant species in promoting plant diversity and enhancing ecosystem functioning through assessments of community biomass production and spatial stability. Cushion-constructed microcommunities (CCMC) exhibit a substantial increase in plant species richness, ranging from 83% to 150%, compared to bare ground areas.

The uric acid to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (UHR) is a novel inflammatory-metabolic marker, but its association with PVS burden remains unexplored. This study investigated the association between UHR and moderate-to-severe PVS burden.

Background: Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal central nervous system neurodegenerative disease, but the relationships among genetic mutations, plasma biomarkers, glymphatic system and clinical variables remain unclear.
Methods: This study retrospectively collected data from April 2015 to November 2024 from the Department of Neurology of First Affiliated Hospital, Fujian Medical University, China. ALS patients (including genetic ALS (gALS) and sporadic ALS (sALS)), Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients, and healthy controls (HC) were included.
Objective: To utilize the Traditional Chinese Medicine constitution (TCMC) as a complementary and alternative approach for early disease detection and treatment, with a focus on and deficiency constitutions, which serve as key references for disease prevention and management.
Methods: The dataset containing the data of and deficiency constitution was identified through the Gene Expression Omnibus database. This database was used for differential expression genes (DEGs) analysis and weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA), and the characteristic genes were then obtained in the dataset using a machine learning method.

Permethrin, a commonly used type I pyrethroid insecticide, has been shown to induce insulin resistance and adipogenesis, however the molecular mechanisms driving these effects remain unclear. This research demonstrated that permethrin disrupts the balance of gut microbiota, particularly altering and ratios, leading to increased adipogenesis and metabolic disorders. Antibiotic treatment significantly alleviated the effects of permethrin, highlighting the potential role of gut microbiota in obesity and insulin resistance.

By integrating semiconductor materials with metasurfaces and applying external excitation, it is possible to dynamically modulate THz metasurfaces, thereby enabling advanced tunable functionalities. Gallium nitride (GaN) possesses excellent optoelectronic properties, including a long diffusion length, a tunable bandgap, and outstanding carrier mobility.

Crystalline-amorphous CoSe/CoS heterojunction is synthesized, with high SERS performance and stability, composed of orthorhombic (o-CoSe) and amorphous CoS (a-CoS). By adjusting feed ratio, the proportion of a-CoS to o-CoSe is regulated, where CoSe/CoS-S50 with a 1:1 ratio demonstrates the best SERS performance due to the balance of two components.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) have emerged as critical regulators in various ocular pathologies, yet their contributions to DR remain unclear. This study identified and characterized hsa_circ_0099682, derived from the alpha motif domain-containing protein 1B (ANKS1B) gene, and investigated its role and molecular mechanism in high glucose (HG)-induced HRMEC injury.

Since the establishment of the Chinese acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) case surveillance system in 1999, around 7,200 strains of poliovirus (PV) type 1 have been identified and isolated. Among these, the VP1 region of 5,649 strains has been sequenced. Based on the existing VP1 region sequence library, four strains of type 1 PV with six-nucleotide deletion in the VP1 region, identified from AFP cases, healthy children, and environmental sewage samples, were identified, and their biological characteristics were investigated.

Through a systematic integrative analysis guided by immune-related gene signatures and robust regression modeling, we identified PARVB as a novel macrophage-associated prognostic gene with strong predictive value across multiple data sets. Further validation using large-scale transcriptomic data and single-cell RNA-sequencing profiles revealed that PARVB likely activates the SMAD signaling axis, leading to the upregulation of TNFSF13, a key driver of M2 macrophage polarization.

However, overlooking the O pre-adsorption process induced by defective structures hampers the precise identification of active sites and the investigation of the reaction mechanism in Fe-N-C SACs. Hence, we report a Fe SAC with abundant pyridinic N vacancy defects in microporous structures (Fe-N-C SAC) and propose a synergistic effect between pyridinic N vacancy defects and O molecules that promotes the kinetics of ORR.
