Chemiresistive gas sensors have emerged as a promising technology for gas detection, due to their real-time response, low costs, high sensitivity, excellent stability, and facile fabrication. However, the full realization of their potential is currently constrained by the scarcity of sensing materials capable of delivering high selectivity and ultrafast response. In this study, we prepared a three-dimensional inverse opal macroporous SnO doped with NiO (3DIO NiO-SnO).

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers globally. Unfortunately, many patients with breast cancer develop resistance to chemotherapy and tumor recurrence, which is primarily driven by breast cancer stem cells (BCSCs). BCSCs behave like stem cells and can self-renew and differentiate into mature tumor cells, enabling the cancer to regrow and metastasize.

Herein, we present a melt infiltration-dispersion method for synthesizing a small-sized single-crystal LiNiCoMnO (N90-SC) material at lower temperatures, enabling kilogram-scale production. The inclusion of low-melting LiOH-LiSO eutectic salt enhances uniform mass and heat transfer while penetrating the grain boundaries of secondary particles, thereby inhibiting particle growth and resulting in small single crystals after washing.

Current hemostatic materials are not ideal and lack antimicrobial properties needed for infection prevention. Here, we tested the feasibility for 6-chlorodopamine-functionalized gelatin (GDC) nanoparticles to function as a hemostatic powder with strong tissue adhesion and antibacterial properties.

Background: Limited information is available on malpractice claims against obstetricians and gynecologists in China. This study identifies risk factors associated with malpractice and explores the correlation between the hospital characteristics and medical errors in obstetrics and gynecology.
Methods: This observational study analyzed all obstetric and gynecologic malpractice claims submitted to the Chinese Medical Association (CMA) from 2016 to 2023.
Background: Spinal cord injuries (SCI) are major contributors to global disability, with high incidence rates, substantial medical costs, and profound long-term impacts. Cervical spinal cord injuries (cSCI), in particular, lead to severe outcomes, making them a critical public health challenge. While the rising global burden of SCI, including cSCI, is well-known, comprehensive and updated epidemiological studies specifically focused on cSCI, especially those that project future trends and analyze regional disparities, remain limited.

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) can easily spread among students and can lead to an outbreak once there is an infection in a school. Outbreaks of drug-resistant TB (DR-TB) in schools have occasionally been reported, but the profile of DR-TB in students in a province has rarely been described. This study was conducted to determine the prevalence of DR-TB and factors associated with it in students in Henan Province, China.

Lactylation, an emerging epigenetic modification, has been shown to influence the biological behavior of tumor cells; however, its role in GBM remains to be further elucidated.
Methods: In this study, we analyzed the relationship between lactylation-related genes (LRGs) and malignant biological behavior, temozolomide resistance, and the immune microenvironment of GBM using scRNA-seq data from public databases.
Ultrasound technology plays a pivotal role in health monitoring and management by virtue of its noninvasiveness, real-time imaging capability, and deep tissue penetration. As the frontier in ultrasound imaging and therapeutic applications, wearable ultrasound overcomes the limitations of conventional ultrasound devices, which are bulky and require operation by a professional. These advantages broaden its potential for use in mobile health monitoring and personalized therapy.

Plasma exchange (PLEX) transiently depletes pathogenic mediators, while neonatal Fc receptor antagonists (eg, efgartigimod) offer novel therapeutic potential. Both PLEX and efgartigimod require adjunctive non-steroidal immunosuppressive therapy (NSIST) for sustained remission.

We aimed to explore the clinical value and influencing factors of CSF AQP4-IgG in NMOSD.
Methods: In this study, we screened 137 patients with NMOSD diagnosed according to the 2015 International Consensus Diagnostic Criteria (IPND criteria).

Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer, characterized by rapid growth and resistance to conventional therapies. This study investigates the role of HADHA, a key enzyme in fatty acid β-oxidation, in the progression of GBM. we show that the overexpression of HADHA in GBM correlates with a poor prognosis in patients and plays a role in promoting tumor growth and invasion.

Complex cation substitutions are proved efficacious in enhancing ionic conductivity, while the role of pre-exponential factor in Arrhenius equation receives insufficient attention compared to the activation energy term. Herein, multiple lattice site substitution is employed to elucidate the contribution of increased configurational entropy to phase formation and the predominance of local distortion on ionic conductivity.

While numerous studies have assessed riverine ecological health, most rely on a single assessment method, often neglecting the integration of multiple indicators. This study advances existing research by comparing different assessment approaches to evaluate ecological health of urban rivers.

It was reported to also show proton conduction in a humid atmosphere, which is, however, opposite to the results in this work. Theoretical calculations indicate that protons can hardly move, being stabilized in the perovskite blocks or trapped in the palmierite layers, which is in line with the experimental evidence of almost no HO/DO isotope effect and a negligibly small transport number of protons by EMF measurements up to 800 °C.

Targeted metabolomics and ELISAs shown that Mdivi-1 treatment increased the levels of steroid hormones (progesterone and estradiol) in the supernatants of KGN cell culture medium. The purpose of this study was to explore the mechanism of Mdivi-1 promoting steroid hormone synthesis in granulosa cells (GCs). In vitro experiments revealed that Mdivi-1 did not affect the total protein expression of Drp1 in KGN cells or human luteinized GCs but increased Drp1 Ser637 phosphorylation, reduced Drp1 Ser616 phosphorylation, inhibited Drp1 mitochondrial translocation, and upregulated mitochondrial fusion proteins, promoting mitochondrial fusion.
