Molecular materials offer a boundless design palette for light absorption and charge transport in both natural photosynthesis and engineered photovoltaics. They function in combination as chromophores, donors, conductors, and acceptors, enabling the excitation and charge carrier transport through space and wire-like intramolecular pathways. Although quantum coherence is believed to enhance photoexcitation and photoinduced charge transfer, fluctuating and inhomogeneous environments accelerate decoherence.

Eunicellane diterpenoids, with over 360 known examples characterized by a cis- or trans-6/10-bicyclic carbon skeleton, exhibit diverse biological activities. To date, five eunicellane cyclases (ECs) have been reported: cis-ECs (Bnd4, CpDTS2 and EcTPS1) and trans-ECs (AlbS and MicA), yet the structural basis and molecular mechanisms governing their distinct cis- or trans-cyclization modes remain unsolved. Here, we present the crystal structure of a cis-EC AriE from Amycolatopsis arida, which catalyzes geranylgeranyl diphosphate to form cis-6/10-fused bicyclic benditerpe-2,6,15-triene (1) in aridacin biosynthesis.

Ir-based catalysts have been demonstrated as promising catalysts for the reduction of NO to ammonia (NRA). However, the strong competitive adsorption of NO over H on Ir sites, leading to H* deficiency at high NO concentrations, would hinder its real application. Here, we proposed an effective strategy to solve this problem by constructing dual active site Ir-Pt/TiO composite catalysts with physical mixing (Ir+Pt/TiO) and co-impregnation (IrPt/TiO) methods.

The E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF112 is significantly downregulated in bladder cancer (BLCA) and is correlated with disease progression. In vitro and in vivo studies indicated that RNF112 suppresses BLCA cell proliferation, migration, and lipid synthesis. Mechanistically, RNF112 directly interacts with the MB II domain of MYC through its N-terminal zinc finger motif, and its catalytic site C97 facilitates K48-linked polyubiquitination of the K389 residue on the c-Myc protein, accelerating its degradation.

The development of oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalysts with high catalytic activity, high stability, and low cost is of great significance for the development of rechargeable zinc-air batteries (ZABs). Designing heterostructures within the catalyst can regulate the charge distribution to enhance the electron transfer rate during the catalytic process, and optimize the adsorption of oxygen-containing intermediates, resulting in high-performance ORR catalysts. In this study, FeP/ZnS heterostructures supported on N-doped porous carbon (FeP/ZnS@NC) are designed and fabricated through one-step synthesis via high-temperature pyrolysis.

Effective antitumor nanomedicines maximize therapeutic efficacy by prolonging drug circulation time and transporting drugs to target sites. Although numerous nanocarriers have been developed for accurate tumor targeting, their limited water solubility makes their stable storage challenging, and poses biosafety risks in clinical translation. Herein, we choose reduced glutathione (GSH) to quick synthesize gram-scale water-soluble large amino acids mimicking carbon quantum dots (LAAM GSH-CQDs) enriched in steric chain amino acid groups with solubility of up to 2.
