Soft tissue sarcomas (STS) are heterogeneous malignancies with high recurrence rates (33-39%) post-surgery, necessitating improved prognostic tools. This study proposes a fusion model integrating deep transfer learning and radiomics from MRI to predict postoperative STS recurrence. Axial T2-weighted fat-suppressed imaging (TWI) of 803 STS patients from two institutions was retrospectively collected and divided into training (n = 527), internal validation (n = 132), and external validation (n = 144) cohorts.

Background: The lunge is a critical movement in badminton, facilitating rapid and efficient court coverage and enabling players to promptly reach the hitting position. While previous studies have examined the influence of lunge direction on lower limb biomechanics, the effects of gender have yet to be explored. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the combined effects of direction and gender on lower limb biomechanics during forehand and backhand forward lunges in amateur badminton players.

Numerous studies have shown that IPA has a variety of beneficial biological functions, including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, immunomodulation, intestinal barrier protection, regulation of intestinal flora composition, and neuroprotection. IPA, as an intestinal microbial metabolite, actively participates in the establishment of intestinal immune homeostasis and positively influences the prevention and control of intestinal diseases, thereby playing an indispensable role in regulating host health.

Therefore, early lung involvement identification is essential. Radiomics is a new image analysis technique and might offer valuable information for the diagnosis of interstitial lung disease in juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM-ILD).

Herein, an organic ligand-oriented strategy was used to modulate nanostructure and chemistry properties of MOFs-derived spinel CoMnO by carboxylate-based MIL-101 and imidazolate-based ZIF as precursors, achieving low-temperature synergistic removal of NO and toluene. CoMn/ZIF shows a porous, sheet-like morphology characterized by stacked nanosheets forming an open, interconnected framework.

Thymic mucinous adenocarcinoma is an extremely rare and aggressive malignant tumor of the thymus with a very low 5-year survival rate. Here, we report a case of surgically resected primary mucinous adenocarcinoma of the thymus in a patient in his 60s who was admitted to the hospital with chest tightness for 2 weeks. The patient underwent median sternotomy and thymectomy, including resection of the brachiocephalic vein and partial resection of the superior vena cava wall.

However, the disease characteristics and maternal-neonatal outcomes of this comorbidity remain largely unknown. In this study, we collected peripheral blood samples from 42 pregnant women, including pregnant controls without complications (Control, n = 10), GDM (n = 12), PE (n = 10), and those with coexistence of GDM and PE (PG, n = 10), as well as partial neonatal cord blood samples.

Purpose: To evaluate the value of F-AlF-NOTATATE PET/CT in restaging high-risk neuroblastoma (NB) after chemotherapy and its advantages over anatomical imaging.
Materials And Methods: We retrospectively collected data from high-risk patients with NB who were restaged after chemotherapy using F-AlF-NOTATATE PET/CT between June 2021 and June 2022. The histopathological, clinical, and radiographic follow-up results were used as reference standards for the final diagnosis.
The destruction of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) is the most common life-threatening event of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Balancing microglia polarization is a prospective therapeutic strategy for BBB injury. This study aims to explore the neuroprotective effects and the underlying mechanisms of Hydroxysafflor yellow A (HSYA) from the perspective of BBB disruption and neuroinflammation.

Objective: To compare the effects of piriformis muscle release versus preservation in total hip arthroplasty (THA) via supercapsular percutaneously-assisted total hip (SuperPATH) approach on muscle injury.
Methods: Forty-nine patients undergoing initial THA via SuperPATH approach between June 2022 and June 2023 were randomly divided into two groups, with 24 patients in trial group and 25 patients in control group. The trial group received piriformis muscle release intraoperatively, whereas the control group underwent muscle preservation.

Cancer centers must quickly integrate clinical genomics data from different vendors for oncology operations and research. Clinical data warehouse architectures are costly to construct and brittle, and they are not readily amenable to the rapid changes in oncology research. We introduce a cost-effective hybrid cloud Data Lake architecture for storing clinical genomic data from different vendors, aiding both clinical and research workflows.

However, the high workload and limited patient compliance associated with MTP restrict its application. Consequently, single time point (STP) dosimetry approaches have emerged as a promising alternative, though their effectiveness in pediatric populations has not been thoroughly investigated.

Dual immune checkpoint blockade targeting CTLA-4 and PD-1 offers a synergistic approach by enhancing T-cell activation and amplifying anti-tumor immune responses. This study evaluates the efficacy and safety of HBM4003, a novel fully human anti-CTLA-4 monoclonal antibody, in combination with toripalimab, a PD-1 inhibitor, in patients with high-grade, refractory NENs.

Objectives: The objective of the study was to investigate the incidence of exposure keratopathy (EK) in prone position ventilation patients and to analyze the risk factors.
Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study in two ICUs located in two tertiary level hospitals. Medical records of patients receiving prone position ventilation between November 2022 and October 2024 were collected and their eye conditions were assessed using corneal fluorescein sodium ophthalmic test strips and cobalt blue light slit-lamp configuration.
Background: Prostate cancer (PCa) presents substantial heterogeneity and unpredictability in its progression. Despite therapeutic advancements, mortality from advanced PCa remains a significant challenge. Understanding the intercellular communication within the tumor microenvironment (TME) is critical for uncovering mechanisms driving tumorigenesis and identifying novel therapeutic targets.

As one of the regions with frequent engineering construction and frequent geological disasters, the alpine gorge area of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau is of great significance for its environmental risk assessment. This paper takes Chaya County in the region as the research object, combined with the essential data survey, using remote sensing images and a geographic information system (GIS) platform to carry out spatial statistics and analyze common geological disasters in the study area. Based on this, the SMOTE-Tomek-random forest (STRF) geological disaster evaluation model and the information method model were used to explore the impact of engineering construction on the susceptibility and vulnerability of geological disasters in the Alpine Canyon area.

Tracheobronchial talaromycosis is uncommon in non-HIV infected patients. Reports on tracheobronchial talaromycosis presenting as a tumor-like lesion are also scarce, and the value of bronchoscopic cryosurgery in the treatment of tracheobronchial talaromycosis has not been mentioned. We report a case of tracheobronchial talaromycosis mimicking an airway tumor, which was diagnosed through bronchoscopic cryosurgery, next-generation sequencing(NGS), and tissue culture.
