Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a type of chronic inflammatory disorders. The main pathological features of IBD include immune homeostasis disorder and intestinal epithelial barrier dysfunction, which jointly lead to the deterioration of IBD. Mechanosensation refers to the ability of an organism to sense mechanical stimuli (such as pressure, pulling and shearing forces) and make adaptive responses, which plays an important role in the peristalsis and dilation of the intestines.

To address the demands for wide-range and high-precision current measurement, this paper proposes a novel current sensor design that integrates spin sensing technology, magnetic shunt effect, and a multi-sensor data fusion algorithm. The spin valve sensors accurately detect the magnetic field generated by the signal current, while the soft magnetic shunt structure attenuates the magnetic field to a level suitable for the spin valve sensors. Consequently, the detection current range can be extended by 6.

Aggregated proteins are targeted to selective autophagy or specifically sequestered into the "aggresome", a perinuclear inclusion at the microtubule-organizing center (MTOC). However, the mechanism for selective aggresome recruitment remains unclear.

Electrocardiograms (ECGs) contain valuable information in the clinical diagnosis of myocardial infarction (MI). However, its interpretation process is dependent on cardiologists with extensive clinical experience and expertise. The issue not only causes a paucity of medical resources, but also restricts patients from receiving timely diagnoses.

While combining photodynamic therapy (PDT) with immunotherapy holds promise, its efficacy is hampered by insufficient immune activation. In this study, we develop a multifunctional photodynamic-enhanced biomimetic intelligent nanoplatform (FBFO@HM@aOPN) responsive to the TME.

The all-inorganic perovskite of cubic CsPbI (α-CsPbI) exhibited high thermal stability, owing to the absence of volatile organic cations. However, the poor phase stability at room temperature limits its practical applications. In this work, the phase transition mechanism of CsPbI from the cubic phase (α) to the tetragonal phase (β) was studied by first-principles calculations.

Precise control of gene activity within a host cell is crucial in bioengineering applications. Despite significant advancements in cis-regulatory sequence activity prediction and reverse engineering, the context-dependent effects of host cellular environment have long been neglected, leading to ongoing challenges in accurately modeling regulatory processes. Here, we introduce an insulated design strategy to purify and model host-independent transcriptional activity.

Myocarditis is inflammatory injury of the myocardium and causes approximately 30,000 deaths globally each year. Fulminant myocarditis is an extremely severe form of myocarditis. Currently, the clinical evaluation of myocarditis and fulminant myocarditis is primarily based on symptoms, ECG findings, and biochemical markers.

Recent studies have found that gut probiotics and their metabolic products play a significant role in activating the immune system, reshaping the tumor microenvironment, and inhibiting cancer progression.
Methods: We established a 4T1 tumor-bearing mice model and analyzed the proportions of CD4 T and CD8 T cells in the spleen using flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry.

Mother-Approved Infant Handling (MAIH), a behaviour characterized by non-maternal individuals carrying a mother's offspring with her consent following a process of behavioural negotiation, is a well-documented phenomenon in colobine species. This study systematically documented MAIH within a semi-provisioned breeding band of black-and-white snub-nosed monkeys (Rhinopithecus bieti) in Xiangguqing, Yunnan, P.R.

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with wide bandgaps (WBG) have emerged as critical enablers as the top subcells in various series-connected configurations, enabling effective absorption of high-energy photons and yielding a high open-circuit voltage (). However, these cells face significant challenges, including substantial photovoltage losses and phase separation, which hinder their potential efficiency and stability. We develop a molecular additive strategy employing the bifunctional ODABr diammonium salt (octadecane-1,8-diammonium bromide) during perovskite processing, and a hierarchically structured two-dimensional/three-dimensional (2D/3D) perovskite film with preferred crystallographic alignment and enhanced phase homogeneity is successfully engineered.

The hypoxic tumor microenvironment further complicates this process, ultimately resulting in poor patient prognosis. In this study, we developed a thermoresponsive nanocarrier system that incorporates (Ru)(Pt) bimetallic nanoparticles onto defective TiOx nanoparticles with abundant oxygen vacancies, generating composite Ru/Pt-TiOx nanoparticles with photothermal and photocatalytic properties.

Background: Glioblastoma (GBM) is largely refractory to antibodies against programmed cell death 1 (anti-PD-1) therapy. Fully understanding the cellular heterogeneity and immune adaptations in response to anti-PD-1 therapy is necessary to design more effective immunotherapies for GBM. This study aimed to dissect the molecular mechanisms of specific immunosuppressive subpopulations to drive anti-PD-1 resistance in GBM.

Nevertheless, hydrogels with a single NIR-II light response may not meet the diverse requirements and complex conditions of clinical applications. Here, a novel multi-responsive nanocomposite hydrogel with enhanced suitability for controlled drug release is developed.

Several MT-destabilizing drugs, including vinblastine, combretastatin A4, and plinabulin, are widely used, or are under evaluation for cancer treatment. Although all three depolymerize MTs, they do so through distinct biochemical mechanisms.
