Introduction: Pressure-based fractional flow reserve (FFR) and flow-based coronary flow reserve (CFR) assess the functional status of coronary artery disease (CAD) during cardiac catheterization. Complex hemodynamics may not be adequately explained by either pressure or flow alone. Consequently, pressure-drop coefficient (CDP, the ratio between pressure-drop across a stenosis and distal dynamic pressure) that combines both pressure and flow measurements has been developed to distinguish between epicardial stenosis (ES) and microvascular disease (MVD).

The onset of puberty is increasingly observed at earlier ages in children, especially in girls with obesity, a trend that predisposes them to long-term metabolic and reproductive disorders in adulthood. Bile acids have emerged as pivotal signaling molecules in both metabolic and reproductive disorders, but remain unexplored in the early onset of puberty in children. Herein, we find elevated levels of muricholic acid (MCA) species in the serum of girls with central precocious puberty, which strongly correlate with indices of hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis activation and can reach peak levels during puberty among healthy children.

Large B cell lymphomas (LBCL) are clinically and biologically heterogeneous lymphoid malignancies with complex microenvironments that are central to disease etiology. Here, we have employed single-nucleus multiome profiling of 232 tumor and control biopsies to characterize diverse cell types and subsets that are present in LBCL tumors, effectively capturing the lymphoid, myeloid, and non-hematopoietic cell compartments. Cell subsets co-occurred in stereotypical lymphoma microenvironment archetype profiles (LymphoMAPs) defined by; (1) a sparsity of T cells and high frequencies of cancer-associated fibroblasts and tumor-associated macrophages (FMAC); (2) lymph node architectural cell types with naive and memory T cells (LN); or (3) activated macrophages and exhausted CD8 T cells (TEX).

Background: Plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs) are a specialized subset of dendritic cells known for their ability to produce type I interferon (IFN I), contributing to antiviral defense and the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases like systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). In SLE patients, pDCs are excessively activated, leading to overproduction of IFN-α, which plays a critical role in disease progression. However, no bibliometric analysis has been conducted on the relationship between pDCs and SLE.

Mutations in the human ADAR gene encoding adenosine deaminase acting on RNA 1 (ADAR1) cause Aicardi-Goutières syndrome 6 (AGS6); a severe auto-inflammatory encephalopathy with aberrant interferon (IFN) induction. AdarΔ2-13 null mutant mouse embryos lacking ADAR1 protein die with high levels of IFN-stimulated gene (ISG) transcripts. In Adar Mavs double mutants also lacking the Mitochondrial antiviral signaling (MAVS) adaptor, the aberrant IFN induction is prevented.

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remains a leading cause of cancer-related mortality, with "epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)" mutations playing a pivotal role in tumor progression and carcinogenesis. "Third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs)," such as Osimertinib, have significantly improved treatment outcomes by overcoming resistance mechanisms like the T790M mutation. However, Osimertinib's clinical application is limited by cardiotoxicity concerns, necessitating safer alternatives.

The origins of the colours of trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs) represent a crucial unresolved question, central to understanding the history of our Solar system. Recent observational surveys revealed correlations between the eccentricity and inclination of TNOs, and their colours. This rekindled the long-standing debate on whether these colours reflect the conditions of TNO formation or their subsequent evolution.

Objectives: Patients with connective tissue diseases (CTD) have a high incidence of cardiac involvement, which often presents insidiously and can progress rapidly, making it one of the leading causes of death. Multiparametric cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) provides a comprehensive quantitative evaluation of myocardial injury and is emerging as a valuable tool for detecting cardiac involvement in CTD. This study aims to investigate the correlations between CMR features and serological biomarkers in CTD patients, assess their potential clinical value, and further explore the impact of pre-CMR immunotherapy intensity on CMR-specific parameters, thereby evaluating the role of CMR in the early diagnosis of CTD-related cardiac involvement.
