Large B cell lymphomas (LBCL) are clinically and biologically heterogeneous lymphoid malignancies with complex microenvironments that are central to disease etiology. Here, we have employed single-nucleus multiome profiling of 232 tumor and control biopsies to characterize diverse cell types and subsets that are present in LBCL tumors, effectively capturing the lymphoid, myeloid, and non-hematopoietic cell compartments. Cell subsets co-occurred in stereotypical lymphoma microenvironment archetype profiles (LymphoMAPs) defined by; (1) a sparsity of T cells and high frequencies of cancer-associated fibroblasts and tumor-associated macrophages (FMAC); (2) lymph node architectural cell types with naive and memory T cells (LN); or (3) activated macrophages and exhausted CD8 T cells (TEX).

Context: Dissolved gas analysis (DGA) technology is a crucial technique for evaluating the operational state of transformers by detecting characteristic gases dissolved in insulating oil. Notably, the aging of insulation paper generates both characteristic gases and furfural, which also dissolves into the oil. However, the influence of furfural on gas diffusion behavior remains unclear.

Methods: This study analyzed ccRCC patients who underwent preoperative abdominal multi-sequence MRI, dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI, and nephrectomy at our hospital. Patients were pathologically classified into low-grade (WHO/ISUP 1/2) and high-grade (WHO/ISUP 3/4) groups.
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common malignant tumor and the second leading cause of cancer‑related deaths worldwide. Identifying driver genes in CRC development may provide clinical benefits for patients. Zinc finger protein 695 (ZNF695) is a nuclear protein with transcriptional regulatory activity, which has been implicated in tumor progression; however, the role of ZNF695 in CRC is unclear.

COMSOL Multiphysics finite element simulations reveal that the PET cantilever, benefiting from its low Young's modulus and flexible mechanical properties, exhibits an acoustic pressure sensitivity of 7334 nm/Pa. The theoretical resonance frequency (2638 Hz) closely matches the experimental result (2465 Hz), validating the reliability of the simulations.

As a general strategy, histogram-based methods have substantial limitations in producing smooth free energy surfaces from sparse samples. Most histogram-free methods allow for possible smooth global free energy surface mapping but likely lead to significantly compromised local features.

The roles of complexin 2 (CPLX2) and synaptosome-associated protein 25 (SNAP25) in the recovery from colorectal cancer liver metastasis are not yet clear. Data sets GSE147602 and GSE144259 for colorectal cancer liver metastasis were downloaded from the gene expression omnibus database generated from GPL21047 and GPL11154.

Background: Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) are prevalent neoplasm originating from the gastrointestinal mesenchyme. Approximately 50% of GIST patients experience tumor recurrence within 5 years. Thus, there is a pressing need to accurately evaluate risk stratification preoperatively.

Methods: CT/MR data and clinical features of 16 patients with pathologically proven PHL were retrospectively reviewed.
Background: Interactions among tumor, immune, and vascular niches play major roles in driving glioblastoma (GBM) malignancy and treatment responses. The composition, heterogeneity, and localization of extracellular core matrix proteins (CMPs) that mediate such interactions, however, are not well understood.
Methods: Here, through computational genomics and proteomics approaches, we analyzed the functional and clinical relevance of CMP expression in GBM at bulk, single cell, and spatial anatomical resolution.

Background: There are often subtle early symptoms of colorectal cancer, a common malignancy of the intestinal tract. However, it is not yet clear how MYC and NCAPG2 are involved in colorectal cancer.
Method: We obtained colorectal cancer datasets GSE32323 and GSE113513 from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO).
SMARCA4 encodes one of two mutually exclusive ATPase subunits in the BRG/BRM associated factor (BAF) complex that is recruited by transcription factors (TFs) to drive chromatin accessibility and transcriptional activation. SMARCA4 is among the most recurrently mutated genes in human cancer, including ∼30% of germinal center (GC)-derived Burkitt lymphomas. In mice, GC-specific Smarca4 haploinsufficiency cooperated with MYC over-expression to drive lymphomagenesis.

We developed and validated a radiomic-based model to predict objective response to this combination therapy in advanced HCC patients.
Methods: Patients ( = 170) who received first-line combination therapy with lenvatinib plus an anti-PD-1 antibody were retrospectively enrolled from 9 Chinese centers; 124 and 46 into the training and validation cohorts, respectively.
Biological function is mediated by the hierarchical organization of cell types and states within tissue ecosystems. Identifying interpretable composite marker sets that both define and distinguish hierarchical cell identities is essential for decoding biological complexity, yet remains a major challenge. Here, we present RECOMBINE, an algorithm that identifies recurrent composite marker sets to define hierarchical cell identities.

Methods: A total of 470 patients with EOCs were included retrospectively. Patients were divided into a training dataset (N = 329) and a test dataset (N = 141).
Objectives: The postoperative early recurrence (ER) rate of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is 50%, and no highly reliable predictive tool has been developed yet. The aim of this study was to develop and validate a predictive model with radiomics analysis based on multiparametric magnetic resonance (MR) images to predict early recurrence of HCC.
Methods: In total, 302 patients (training dataset: = 211; validation dataset: = 91) with pathologically confirmed HCC who underwent preoperative MR imaging were enrolled in this study.
Therapeutic options for treatment of basal-like breast cancers remain limited. Here, we demonstrate that bromodomain and extra-terminal (BET) inhibition induces an adaptive response leading to MCL1 protein-driven evasion of apoptosis in breast cancer cells. Consequently, co-targeting MCL1 and BET is highly synergistic in breast cancer models.

Background: Alpha-fetoprotein-negative (<20 ng/mL) hepatocellular carcinoma (AFP-NHCC) cannot be easily diagnosed in clinical practice, which may affect early treatment and prognosis. Furthermore, there are no reliable tools for the prediction of AFP-NHCC early recurrence that have been developed currently. The objective of this study was to identify the independent risk factors for AFP-NHCC and construct an individual prediction nomogram of early recurrence of these patients who underwent curative resection.

Methods: Clinical data from 74 high-risk patients with acute calculous cholecystitis, admitted to our hospital between October 2018 and September 2021, were analyzed retrospectively. All the patients underwent PTGD, and 59 of them underwent delayed cholecystectomy, while 14 patients were subjected to GPC 8-12 weeks after the PTGD; one patient, whose life expectancy was fewer than 6 months, was not treated for gallstones after PTGD.
