With the growing emphasis on maternal and child oral health, the significance of managing oral health across preconception, pregnancy, and infancy stages has become increasingly apparent. Oral health challenges extend beyond affecting maternal well-being, exerting profound influences on fetal and neonatal oral development as well as immune system maturation. This expert consensus paper, developed using a modified Delphi method, reviews current research and provides recommendations on maternal and child oral health management.

However, several obstacles reduce the efficacy of ferroptosis therapy including insufficient oxidative stress from monotherapy and restricted drug retention in tumor tissues. To address these challenges, we developed an inhalable hybrid liposome in which FIN56 and piperlongumine (PPL) are coloaded into silk fibroin nanoparticles to overcome the limitation of the poor therapeutic effect of single-drug ferroptosis.

In terahertz (THz) optical systems, beam splitters are essential components. However, they still have challenges in multi-channel manipulation of THz waves. Multi-channel beam splitters are devices that simultaneously split and independently control beams through multiple channels.

The employment of antibiotics is the first-line treatment for pulmonary infections, while other novel anti-infection agents, such as antimicrobial peptides, have also been developed due to the emergence of drug resistance. Recently, inhalable nanoparticle-based delivery systems have garnered significant attention for the delivery of anti-infection agents, which possess great advantages like high lung accumulations and precise delivery performances.

Ferroptosis therapy shows potential for lung tumor treatment, but precise accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) remains a challenge. A lysosome-hijacking strategy was developed, aiming to induce ROS spread from lysosomes to the entire cell. The key is delivering a ROS inducer to the lysosome for rapid and targeted ROS generation.

However, existing THz biosensors are still mainly focused on the directional detection of single or specific substances, and most ultra-high sensitive sensing accuracies are inseparable from the targeted calibration of analytes. In practical applications, we often face the challenge of detecting multiple substances.

The formulations have notable strengths, such as enhancing targeting, solubility, and stability. However, several weaknesses, including nebulization leakage, safety, and large-scale production, have limited their commercial application.

The objective of the current study was to evaluate and compare the apical sealing ability of the calcium silicate-based root canal sealer nRoot SP with AH Plus and iRoot SP using both single-cone (SC) and continuous wave condensation (CWC) techniques.
Methods: In total, 102 extracted human anterior teeth were decoronated and 12 mm of each root was preserved.
Cuproptosis, a newly discovered copper-dependent programmed cell death pathway, represents a promising approach for anticancer therapy. However, the efficacy of cuproptosis critically depends on intracellular copper accumulation. Traditional copper ionophores have limited therapeutic efficacy due to their reliance on serum copper levels.

In the search for effective treatments, conventional therapies such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and immunotherapy have emerged as mainstream options. However, these therapies often come with significant side effects, resulting in unsatisfactory treatment outcomes.

Therefore, we propose a tailored tumor microenvironment (TME) igniting strategy that leverages tumor extracellular metabolic heterogeneity (EMH) to transform metabolites into antitumor components. In this study, polydopamine (PDA) with photothermal performance was formulated into nanoparticles with polyethylenimine.

Compared to conventional spray drying, co-spray drying typically yields particles characterized by improved aerosol performance and enhanced physicochemical stability. Despite its widespread application over the past decades, this technology remains under-represented in literature reviews.

Instrument separation is a critical complication during root canal therapy, impacting treatment success and long-term tooth preservation. The etiology of instrument separation is multifactorial, involving the intricate anatomy of the root canal system, instrument-related factors, and instrumentation techniques. Instrument separation can hinder thorough cleaning, shaping, and obturation of the root canal, posing challenges to successful treatment outcomes.

Decompression and 2-stage curettage are widely used treatments for this condition. This study aims to compare the pulp vitality of affected teeth in patients with jaw cystic lesions before and after decompression and 2-stage curettage, thereby clarifying the impact on the pulp vitality of the involved teeth.

Methods: A total of 887 patients with 941 teeth undergoing endodontic surgery were included in this retrospective study. The clinical factors and bone defects detected via cone beam computed tomography were measured and recorded.
Psoriasis is a chronic and recurrent inflammatory disease driven not only by intrinsic factors such as immune system dysregulation but also by external factors, including bacterial infections. In contrast to the control of a single pathogenic pathway, combination therapies addressing both the immune and infectious components of psoriasis pathogenesis may offer a more effective strategy for controlling its progression. In this study, we developed a sprayable hydrogel incorporating tea polyphenol-loaded lauric acid liposomes (TP@LA-Lipo gel) to investigate its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial role in psoriasis.

Exhaled breath (EB) analysis via eNoses offers a quick and noninvasive approach, but current eNose technology lacks quality control and solid validation in large population studies. Herein, an eNose platform integrated with a metal ion-decorated graphene sensor array and a breath sampling accessory was established.

Xiao reported on the natural product sinomenine (SIN), which is a traditional Chinese medicine for treating osteoporosis its modulation of autophagy; however, SIN was dissolved in dimethyl sulfoxide prior to administration, which is not conducive to the development of clinical injectables. By comparing solubilization techniques, including amorphisation, emulsification, micellisation, nano-crystallisation and host-guest inclusion, we found that the solubilization of SIN by host-guest inclusion can enhance solubility and improve stability and has an increased release rate and enhanced bioavailability. Therefore, we conclude that host-guest inclusion holds promise for SIN solubilization.

As a protein, its stability, targetability and bioavailability must be improved. Compared with the traditional medicinal chemistry technology, nanotechnology is more economical for increasing the druggability of hBD-1 and can be readily scaled up.
