Rationale: Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, is widely prescribed for managing hypertension through vascular smooth muscle relaxation. However, severe amlodipine toxicity can lead to profound hypotension and refractory shock, often unresponsive to conventional treatments.
Patient Concerns: In this report, we reported a 32-year-old female case of amlodipine overdose who was admitted to our hospital on March 1, 2024, due to intentionally ingesting approximately 84 tablets of amlodipine (5 mg each).
The development of green high-density memristors is urgent for the coming big-data era. In this work, the graphitization degree of the nanodiamond (ND) was modulated by thermal annealing at different temperatures. Consequently, the graphitizing transformation from the ND structure to partial onion-like carbon (OLC-1) and complete OLC-2 was achieved, which has been validated by increased sp/sp ratios and carbonyl contents.

Although hormone therapy remains the most effective treatment, its long-term use is associated with significant risks, prompting interest in alternative options. Kampo medicine, a traditional Japanese system derived from Chinese herbal medicine, has gained renewed attention as a complementary and personalized therapeutic approach to menopausal health.

Rare diseases have become a global public health challenge due to their low prevalence, difficult diagnosis, and limited treatment options. Intractable diseases are more common but often involve complex mechanisms, treatment with limited efficacy, and high medical costs, placing a heavy burden on patients and healthcare systems. In recent years, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has demonstrated unique advantages in the treatment of intractable and rare diseases and has gradually become an important complementary treatment.

The antiproliferative activity of compounds 9a-9c on HepG2, B16, and A549 cancer cells as well as on normal NIH 3T3 cells was tested using a 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. It was found that the three complexes showed moderate cytotoxicity in A549 and B16 cells.

However, liquid leakage and flammability are long-standing defects that limit their practical utilization in thermal management. Here, an intrinsic flame-retardant solid-solid organic phase change material synthesis strategy is realized by a facile multicomponent reaction (MCR) from dimethyl phosphite, benzaldehyde, and alcohol under mild conditions.

However, achieving controlled analyte release under nonthermal stimuli remains a major challenge. Here, a relay-type solid-state host-guest system based on a fluorinated pillararene derivative, EtFLP6, is presented, which enables selective adsorption of 1-/2-bromoalkane isomers, room-temperature-controlled desorption, and turn-on colorimetric sensing.

Aminoglycosides (AGs) are a class of antibiotics with a broad spectrum of activity. However, their use is limited by safety concerns associated with nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity, as well as drug resistance. To address these issues, semi-synthetic approaches for modifying natural AGs have generated new generations of AGs, however, with limited types of modification due to significant challenges in synthesis.

The one-step efficient separation of high-purity CH from CH/CH mixtures by hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (HOFs) faces two problems: lack of strategies for constructing stable pores in HOFs and how to obtain high CH selectivity. Herein, we have developed a microporous Mortise-Tenon-type HOF (MTHOF-1, MT is short for Mortise-Tenon structure) with a new self-assembly mode for CH/CH separation. Unlike previous HOFs which usually possess discrete head-to-head hydrogen bonds, MTHOF-1 is assembled by unique consecutive side-by-side hydrogen bonds, which result in mortise-and-tenon pores decorated with orderly arranged amide groups and benzene rings.

Recently, methanol-to-olefins (MTO) technology has been widely used. The development of new adsorbents to separate MTO products and obtain high-purity ethylene (CH) and propylene (CH) has become an urgent task. Herein, an exceptionally highly water-stable metal-organic framework (MOF), [Cu(OH)(MeBPZ)]·(solvent) () (HMeBPZ = 3,3'-dimethyl-1,1'-4,4'-bipyrazole) with hexagonal pores, has been elaborately designed and constructed.

Herein, a novel MOF, Ni-Ndi-trz (Ndi-trz=2,7-di(4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)benzo[lmn][3,8]phenanthroline-1,3,6,8(2H,7H)-tetraone) was synthesized through a solvothermal method. Its rational design using a naphthalene diimide (Ndi) core allowed the formation of a four-fold interpenetrated pcu (primitive cubic) topology.

Considering the importance of CH in industry, it is of great significance to develop porous materials for efficient CH/CO separation. Besides the high selectivity, the CH adsorption capacity is another vital factor in CH/CO separation. However, the "trade-off" between these two factors is still perplexing.

Crystalline porous materials with high alkyne adsorption and prominent separation selectivity of alkyne/alkene mixtures have been extensively investigated because of their energy-saving merits. Herein, we report a fluorinated hybrid microporous material (FJI-W1) that exhibits unexpected water and thermal stability.

Gravimetric and NMR methods are both used to calculate irreducible water saturation of the samples, and qualitative and quantitative research studies are therefore conducted. The following knowledge is obtained.

As arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) have shown to be enhancing the resistance of plants to biotrophic pathogens such as powdery mildew, a study was carried out to look at the effects of three AMF, either singularly or in combination, on the growth of standing milkvetch and susceptibility to . The results showed that the presence of AMF enhanced the growth of standing milkvetch even though their presence in the roots increased susceptibility to this foliage pathogen compared with plants having no AMF.

In this study, we report that indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1 (IDO1), a rate-limiting enzyme in tryptophan metabolism, plays a key role in epilepsy-associated depressive-like behavior.
Methods: Rats which develop chronic epilepsy following pilocarpine status epilepticus exhibited a set of interictal disorders consistent with depressive-like behavior.
