Purpose: We aim to evaluate the association between the use of glucosamine, a widely used dietary supplement, and the risk of IBD-related surgery in a prospective cohort study.

Methods: We leveraged data from 6059 individuals with IBD from the UK Biobank. Habitual use, frequency of use, and the dose of glucosamine were evaluated using self-reported records, multiple rounds of dietary recall, and prescription information from primary care data, respectively.

Copper (Cu) is an essential micronutrient for plant growth and development, but environmental Cu pollution has become increasingly severe, adversely affecting both ecosystems and crop productivity. In this study, we identified the AtNAC002 gene as a positive regulator of Cu toxicity in Arabidopsis thaliana. We found that AtNAC002 expression was induced by Cu excess, and the atnac002 mutant was Cu-sensitive, accumulating more Cu than the wild-type.

Methods: A dual-input four-compartment (4C) model, regarding endoplasmic reticulum was preliminarily used for kinetic estimation to differentiate 28 tumours from background liver tissue from 24 patients with HCC. Moreover, parameter images of the 4C model were generated from one patient with negative findings on conventional metabolic PET/CT.
