Background: Post-cardiac arrest syndrome (PCAS) occurs after cardiac arrest resuscitation, causing cardiac and neurological sequelae if not well treated. In China, physicians are vital in PCAS management from early diagnosis, therapeutic treatment to individualized care. Physicians' knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) towards the condition significantly affect such process, which remain understudied in China.

Background: Patients with metachronous liver metastasis (MLM) in gastric cancer generally have a poor prognosis. Early detection and accurate prediction of MLM are crucial for improving clinical outcomes. This study aims to identify the risk factors for MLM through clinical pathological parameters and develop a predictive model for MLM in gastric cancer.

However, the effects of such interventions on the executive function of children and adolescents with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) require further exploration. This study is a systematic review of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of aerobic exercise interventions for children and adolescents with ADHD, aiming to provide valuable intervention suggestions to enhance the executive function of children and adolescents with ADHD.

Persistent CA19-9 elevation prompted histopathological evaluation, revealing poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma of indeterminate origin.

To address this issue, a Zn-Bi catalytic pair with a dual d electronic configuration is constructed. The incorporation of Zn atoms into the lattice results in the formation of a Zn-O-Bi defect structure, thereby enhancing the built-in electric field by 5.

As safety requirements grow increasingly stringent, electrolyte design must comprehensively address both internal risks such as dendrite growth, parasitic reactions, and high flammability, and external abuses including overcharging and short circuits. In this review, the critical role of electrolytes in suppressing thermal runaway in SIBs is systematically elucidated, and contemporary methodologies for electrolyte safety assessment are summarized.

The Realgar-Indigo Naturalis formula (RIF) is a proprietary Chinese medicine, which is one of the important drugs in the treatment of pediatric acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). However, the dose of RIF in clinical application is not uniform and the long-term effectiveness and safety of combining RIF with all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) in a larger population of pediatric APL patients remains undocumented. We conducted a multicenter single-arm clinical trial (ChiCTR-OIC-16010014) in China.

Excessive beta and gamma activity in PD and LID has frequently been reported in recent cross-sectional studies. We aimed to investigate the temporal features of beta and gamma activity in the hyper-direct pathway during the development of PD and LID in rats, as well as the regulatory role of the dopamine receptors DI (D1Rs) and DIII (D3Rs) in these disorders.

However, existing phenotypic extraction methods are difficult to meet the needs of high-throughput and high-precision detection in complex scenarios. To this end, this paper proposes a high-throughput automated extraction system for wheat seedling phenotypic traits based on software and hardware collaboration, CropPhenoX.

Relatively little is known about the microbial variations within the human appendix niche. To overcome this knowledge gap, we employed endoscopic retrograde appendicitis treatment (ERAT) technology to collect microbial samples from the appendix lumen, followed by shotgun metagenomic sequencing on participants with acute appendicitis without antibiotic treatment. Compared to the cecum and terminal ileum, the appendix had a higher abundance at the genus level of Sphingobium, Leptotrichia and Oribacterium, as well as a significant increase in species-level abundance of oral bacteria, including Streptococcus sanguinis, Streptococcus australis, Streptococcus sp.

Carotenoids serve critical biological functions through their essential contributions to organismal survival and health. As a widely consumed fruit species, peach (Prunus persica) provides humans with valuable carotenoid sources, and these compounds also substantially enhance the aromatic properties of peach fruits. The synthesis of phytoene, catalyzed by phytoene synthase (PSY), constitutes a key rate-limiting step in carotenoid biosynthesis.

The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) recommends that at least 12 lymph nodes (LNs) should be harvested during radical surgery of colorectal cancer (CRC). This study aims to clarify the optimal number of LNs that should be examined during the radical surgery for CRC patients with each N stage. The SEER database (n = 48,331) served as the primary cohort, while the Xijing cohort (n = 4447) was used for external validation.

A formula for calculating the nonlinear refractive index based on the composition of fluorophosphate glasses was proposed. Since the nonlinear refractive index is directly related to self-focusing damage, we demonstrated through femtosecond laser-induced damage experiments that the F/O ratio can effectively modulate the self-focusing damage properties of fluorophosphate glass.

The electro-optical sampling-based frequency response characterization technique is considered a terahertz-band-oriented characterization technique with the advantages of wide bandwidth, high accuracy, high spatial resolution, and the possibility of simultaneous time-frequency-domain measurements. To further expand the measurement capability and optimize the measurement stability, in this work, electro-optical sampling-based frequency response characterization of high-speed photodetectors at 90, 100, and 145 GHz is conducted using a femtosecond fiber-optic frequency comb and a electro-optic crystal coplanar waveguide.

Most existing approaches treat image enhancement and object detection as two separate tasks, first enhancing the image, then performing object detection. However, the enhancement process does not necessarily improve the detection accuracy due to the lack of effective interaction between these two tasks.

A pure uterine embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma presenting in an older adult patient is exceedingly rare.

Aged microglial replacement is protective against brain injury in aged mice; however, whether/how the molecular changes in myeloid cells are affected by this replacement in injured brains remains unclear.
Methods: Aged microglia in mice were eliminated by PLX3397 for 21 consecutive days and repopulated following withdrawal for 21 days; then, intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) models were constructed.

Conventional polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) hydrogels with isotropic polymer networks usually lack selective responses to external stimuli, which significantly limits their applications in smart devices. In this work, a series of double network (DN) composite PVA hydrogels reinforced with cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) were prepared by in situ photopolymerization of functional monomers and freeze-thawing (F-T). The incorporation of CNC and the DN structure resulted in the high tensile strength of the hydrogel (1.

IAVs are classified into various subtypes, and a combination of multiplex reverse transcription-multiple cross displacement amplification (mRT-MCDA) and lateral flow biosensor (LFB) has been developed to detect three subtypes (H1N1, H3N2, and H7N9) that have been frequently observed in recent years. This technology simultaneously reverse transcribes and amplifies two target genes, hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA), at a constant temperature of 63 °C in just 40 min.
