Background: Macrophage immunomodulation has emerged as a novel intervention and therapeutic strategy for temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis (TMJOA), potentially serving as a key approach for reducing synovial inflammation and promoting cartilage repair. The soluble epoxide hydrolase inhibitor (sEHi), TPPU, has shown potential therapeutic effects against inflammatory diseases and osteogenesis by elevating endogenous Epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs). However, it remains largely unknown whether TPPU can reduce inflammation and cartilage degradation in the TMJOA.

Quantifying the propagation law of meteorological drought (MD) to hydrological drought (HD) is essential for drought warning, defense and adaption. In this study, based on the standardized precipitation evapotranspiration index (SPEI) and standardized runoff index (SRI), we analyzed the spatiotemporal characteristics and propagation patterns of MD and HD 1975-2020 in Minjiang River Basin (MRB) located in Southeast China.

Postnatal hippocampal neurogenesis, which occurs in the subgranular zone (SGZ) of the dentate gyrus, is critical for neuronal circuits and plasticity. Wnt7a-Frizzled5 (FZD5) is essential for both neurogenesis and synapse formation; moreover, Wnt signaling participates in PBDE neurotoxicity and also contributes to the neuroprotective effects of melatonin.

However, the role of SGEF in cardiovascular diseases such as cardiac hypertrophy has not been elucidated. Here, we used a pressure overload-induced cardiac hypertrophy mouse model to explore the role and underlying mechanism of SGEF in pathological cardiac hypertrophy.

However, the presence of impurities in these drugs can compromise their safety, efficacy, and stability. Therefore, the identification and detailed analysis of these impurities are crucial.

This study examined the effects of freeze drying (FD), hot air drying (HAD), heat pump drying (HPD), and far-infrared drying (FID) on the quality of dried LSs and their brewed beverages. The results show that FD-LSs and their corresponding beverages have the most appealing appearance and maximum levels of ascorbic acid (2.

In this study, we present two in vitro RNA circularization techniques, namely Permuted Intron-Exon through Trans-splicing (PIET) and Complete self-splicing Intron for RNA Circularization (CIRC). PIET leverages the second step of group I intron splicing, offering an alternative circularization strategy.

A total of 233 pediatric patients with DCM who were hospitalized between January 2019 and June 2024 were enrolled. The children were followed up and categorized into two groups: the death/heart transplantation (D/HT) group and the non-D/HT group.

Mounting evidence suggests a contributory role of periodontitis in the onset and progression of AD. Type I interferons are upregulated in Porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg)-induced periodontitis in murine models.

However, gene deletion studies failed to identify a clear functional role for OCLN, despite multiple phenotypic alterations. Importantly, previous studies targeting exon 3 allowed expression of a splice variant starting at exon 4, (isoform 4) that expresses the full carboxy-terminal tail.

The prediction and treatment of spontaneous preterm labor (sPTL) are critical challenges due to obscure etiology and lack of highly specific and sensitive testing methods. Here, we extended the application of noninvasive prenatal testing into the field of sPTL prediction using high-throughput small RNA sequencing to screen the potential biomarkers for sPTL in maternal peripheral blood. We found that hsa-miR-150-5p and hsa-miR-512-3p decreased in the patients affected by sPTL, compared with either term labor or term not labor patients.

However, the molecular regulators of this transitional state remain poorly defined. To address this, we performed circular RNA profiling of endothelial cells under ischemic-like conditions and identified a marked upregulation of a circular RNA, named circATXN1.

The 70-gene signature (70-GS, MammaPrint) test is recommended for assessing recurrence risk and guiding adjuvant chemotherapy decisions for Luminal-type BC. This study updates previously established nomogram models to predict binary 70-GS risk for lymph node positive (LN+) and lymph node negative (LN-) luminal-type BC patients.

Objective: To explore the genetic etiology of two fetuses with Mosaic variegated aneuploidy syndrome (MVA) in a pedigree.
Methods: A 30-year-old pregnant woman, who presented at the Center for Medical Genetics and Prenatal Diagnosis of Shandong Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital on November 16, 2023, was enrolled. Clinical data of the pedigree were collected, and peripheral blood samples from the parents and amniotic fluid samples from the two fetuses were obtained for genomic DNA extraction.
Managerial, collegial, and organizational influences have been recognized as critical factors for developing digital health competence among healthcare professionals, but there is currently a lack of validated Chinese instruments to evaluate these factors. To culturally adapt and validate the Chinese version of the DigiComInf (aspects associated with digital health competence) instrument among Chinese healthcare professionals. The DigiComInf instrument was translated into Chinese following the established guidelines.

Despite its importance, the molecular mechanisms underlying the initiation and progression of leaf senescence in NHCC remain poorly understood. Here, transcriptome changes are first profiled, and found that ethylene (ET) and salicylic acid (SA) signaling pathways are activated during leaf senescence.

A dynamic kinetic asymmetric transformation (DYKAT) of racemic chlorosilanes into Si-stereogenic silazanes has been developed. The chiral isothiourea catalyst ()-benzotetramizole facilitates silylamination with sulfonamides, yielding ()-silazanes with ≥99:1 after one recrystallization. The approach is distinct from the conventional desymmetrization strategy using dihydrosilanes, expanding the synthetic toolbox for Si-stereogenic silazanes.
