To address this challenge, this study employed a reactive melt-grafting method to prepare maleic anhydride (MA)-grafted poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT-MA), providing an effective approach to improve the interfacial compatibility between PLA and PBAT, thereby significantly enhancing the toughness and impact resistance of PLA and expanding its application scope. Objective: To investigate the current status of long-term quality of life in patients with severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) who have been cured and discharged, and to analyze the influencing factors affecting long-term quality of life in SAP cured patients after discharge.
Methods: A retrospective collection was conducted. Patients who were received standardized treatment before being cured and discharged from the hospital admitted to the first department of critical care medcine of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from January 2017 to December 2023 were enrolled.
The emergence of targeted anti-tumor drugs has significantly prolonged the lifespan and improved the prognosis of cancer patients. Among these drugs, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) inhibitors, particularly novel small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), are extensively employed as VEGF inhibitors; however, they are also associated with a higher incidence of complications, with hypertension being the most prevalent cardiovascular toxic side effect. Currently, it is widely accepted that TKIs-induced hypertension involves multiple mechanisms including dysregulation of the endothelin (ET) axis, reduced bioavailability of nitric oxide (NO), imbalance in NO-ROS equilibrium system, vascular rarefaction, and activation of epithelial sodium calcium channels; nevertheless, excessive activation of ET system appears to be predominantly responsible for this condition.

Methods: This prospective, multicenter, double-blinded study included 190 male patients scheduled for urethral catheterization. Patients were randomly allocated into four groups: Group A: the catheter was lubricated with paraffin; Group B: the catheter was lubricated with compound lidocaine gel; Group C: the pump continuously infusing with sterilized water; Group D: the pump continuously infusing with 2% lidocaine.

Starch-based wood adhesives are widely used as environmentally friendly and formaldehyde-free alternatives in the manufacturing of wood products. However, their poor water resistance and inability to inhibit bacterial/fungal growth limit their practicality. To address this issue, a physicochemical double-crosslinked network structure between citric acid, starch, and wood was prepared in this study by physically entangling the wood structure and chemically crosslinking the starch molecules, with citric acid preventing the activity of various enzymes and denatured proteins within microbial cells, thereby inhibiting bacterial and fungal growth.
