Objectives: To observe the effects of electroacupuncture (EA) on olfactory function, olfactory epithelial cell apoptosis, olfactory marker protein (OMP), cysteinyl aspartate-specific protease-3 (Caspase-3), and the expression of inflammatory factors in rats with allergic rhinitis (AR)-induced olfactory dysfunction, so as to explore the underlying mechanism by which EA improves olfactory function in AR-induced olfactory dysfunction.
Methods: SD rats were randomly divided into control, model and EA groups, with 8 rats in each group. AR-induced olfactory dysfunction rats model was established using ovalbumin sensitization.
Objective: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a frequent complication during pregnancy, which can cause many adverse effects on mother and baby. Although existing literatures have found that patients with gestational diabetes can benefit from adhering to dietary interventions, many pregnant women exhibit low dietary intervention compliance, leading to unsatisfactory blood glucose control. The qualitative research study aimed to identify the influencing factors of dietary intervention compliance among pregnant women with GDM using the capability, opportunity, motivation, and behavior (COM-B) model.

However, adherence to ePRO-guided nutritional interventions varies significantly, and the key factors associated with adherence remain poorly understood. This study aimed to assess adherence to nutritional targets via ePRO platforms and identify predictors influencing adherence to optimize management strategies.

Objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of dexamethasone injection into the Neiguan acupoint combined with transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) on postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) in patients undergoing gynaecological laparoscopic surgery.
Study Design: This trial included 160 patients aged between 18 and 65 years who underwent gynaecological laparoscopic surgery. Participants were assigned at random to one of four groups - the acupoint injection (AI) + TEAS group, AI group, TEAS group or control group - in a 1:1:1:1 ratio.
Tricyclic carbazoles are significant pharmacophores. Herein, heterologous expression of the carbazole-3,4-quinone () biosynthetic pathway in the chassis host J1074 yielded a previously chemosynthesized orthoquinone carbazole () and three new -acetylated carbazoles (-). Their structures were established by a combination of HR-ESI-MS, NMR, and X-ray crystallographic analysis.

Of them, ionomycin, the commercial calcium ionophore, bears a unique enolized 1,3-diketone moiety. Herein, mutagenetic analysis of ionomycin biosynthesis revealed a rare dehydrogenase gene J putatively involved in enol moiety formation.

Methods: SD rats were randomly divided into the normal group, model group, acupoint injection group, and non-acupoint group, with 7 rats in each group. The allergic rhinitis rat model was established using ovalbumin sensitization.

Objective: To examine the application of a novel pedagogical approach multidimensional supportive psychological intervention (MSPI) in the clinical practice teaching of andrological nursing care.
Methods: Using the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD), we assessed the psychology of 100 nursing interns about to enter clinical practice in the Department of Andrology from December 2021 to December 2022. We equally randomized the subjects into an experimental and a control group, the former receiving MSPI and the latter trained on the conventional teaching model without any psychological support intervention.

Two new cytochalasans, marcytoglobosins A (1) and B (2) were isolated from the marine sponge associated fungus Chaetomium globosum 162105, along with six known compounds (3-8). The complete structures of two new compounds were determined based on 1D/2D NMR and HR-MS spectroscopic analyses coupled with ECD calculations. All eight isolates were evaluated for their antibacterial activity.

Biosynthesis of tetramates in microorganisms is normally directed by hybrid polyketide synthase (PKS) and nonribosomal peptide synthetase (NRPS) machineries, which form the tetramic acid ring by recruiting trans- or cis-acting thioesterase-like Dieckmann cyclase in bacteria. There are a group of tetramates with unique skeleton of 3-(2H-pyran-2-ylidene)pyrrolidine-2,4-dione, which remain to be investigated for their biosynthetic logics.

The 3-O-glycosylation, exclusively occurring in 20(R)-PPD ginsenosides, has never been achieved in 20(R)-PPT ginsenosides. Herein, 3-O-glycosylation of 20(R)-PPT enabled by a glycosyltransferase (GT) OsSGT2 was achieved with the combined assistance of AlphaFold 2 and molecular docking.

Among different tools, the ovariectomy (OVX) rodents are widely accepted as an appropriate menopausal pain model. Our previous study has showed that OVX produces a significant pain facilitation in both acute pain and tonic pain, however, the underlying mechanisms remain unclear.

Cyanogripeptides A-C (-), three new cyclolipopeptides with unusual β-methyl-leucine residues, were identified from an LHW52806 using an LC-MS-guided strategy. The structures of compounds - were elucidated by 1D/2D NMR, HR-MS/MS, and the advanced Marfey's method. The absolute configuration of the β-methyl-leucine residue was determined by a combination of stereoselective biosynthesis of (2,3)-β-methyl-leucine, racemization to its epimer (2,3)-β-methyl-leucine, and the advanced Marfey's method.
