Moiré superlattices enable engineering of correlated quantum states through tunable periodic potentials, where twist angle controls periodicity but dynamic potential strength modulation remains challenging. Here, we develop a high-pressure quantum transport technique for van der Waals heterostructures, achieving the ultimate pressure limit (∼9  GPa) in encapsulated moiré devices. In aligned graphene/h-BN, we demonstrate that pressure induces a substantial enhancement of the moiré potential strength, evidenced by the suppression of the first valence bandwidth and the near-doubling of the primary band gap.

We propose to realize the quantum anomalous Hall effect (QAHE) in two-dimensional compensated antiferromagnets without net spin magnetization. We consider antiferromagnetic MnBi_{2}Te_{4} as a concrete example. By breaking the parity-time (PT) symmetry of even-layer MnBi_{2}Te_{4}, we find that the system can host the QAHE with a nonzero Chern number.

Based on the use of the coupling coordination model to calculate the coupling coordination degree of carbon emission and pollutant control, the national, regional, and provincial spatiotemporal characteristics of the synergistic effect of pollution control and carbon emissions reduction in China were further analyzed, facilitating the crucial to identification of key areas. The fixed effects regression models and provincial panel data from 2006 to 2020 were used to explore factors contributing to better synergizing the reduction of pollution and carbon emissions in China. On this basis, the adjustment variable of R&D investment intensity was introduced, and the regulation effect model was constructed to further explore the influence mechanism of the synergistic effect of pollution reduction and carbon reduction.

The active cyano-group in polyacrylonitrile has severe passivation of lithium anode under larger current density, which restricts the wide application of polyacrylonitrile(PAN) in lithium metal batteries. Herein, in order to address the excessive passivation of lithium metal by PAN, inspired by the pre-oxidation of carbon fibers, PAN was pre-oxidized at 230 °C, which transformed part of the cyano group into a more chemically stable cyclized structure. The electrochemical and mechanical properties of the composite solid electrolyte were effectively improved by introducing the fast ionic conductor LiLaZrAlO into PAN by electrospinning.

Reversible deactivation radical polymerization (RDRP) is a facile and highly efficient technique for the synthesis of well-defined polymer with precise structure. dl-Methionine (Met) as a RDRP control agent is described and assessed for RDRP of styrene (St) and methyl methacrylate (MMA) with AIBN as radical initiator at 75 °C, which enables excellent control of this polymerization. The addition of dl-Methionine significantly decreased the dispersity (Đ) of the polymers for both monomers and first-order linear kinetic plots of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) are observed in DMSO.

This study presents proof of concept for designing a novel HIV-1 covalent inhibitor targeting the highly conserved Tyr318 in the HIV-1 non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors binding pocket to improve the drug resistance profiles. The target inhibitor with a fluorosulfate warhead in the structure was found to be a potent inhibitor (EC = 11-246 nM) against HIV-1 IIIB and a panel of NNRTIs-resistant strains, being far superior to those of NVP and EFV. Moreover, was demonstrated with lower cytotoxicity (CC = 125 µM).
