With the extension of planting years, there would be significant changes in the chemical properties and microbial community distribution of rhizosphere soil, which limits the sustainable management and production of . Using high-throughput sequencing technology, we analyzed the chemical properties, diversity indices and relative abundance of bacterial and fungal community in rhizosphere soil in orchards planted for 3, 5, and 10 years. The results showed that, with the increases of planting years, soil pH significantly increased, and soil total nitrogen, total organic carbon, available phosphorus, available potassium, mineral nitrogen, and electrical conductivity all showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing.

In this study, the first attempt is made to implement conjugated polymer-based self-assembled monolayer (SAM), poly[3-(6-carboxyhexyl) thiophene-2,5-diyl] (P3HT-COOH), is implemented as the hole transport layer (HTL) in fabricatiing organic photovoltaics (OPVs). The scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) results show that those P3HT-COOH molecules with periodic carboxylic acid anchoring groups pack periodically on the indium tin oxide (ITO) surface and form a monolayer. Further, this monolayer is smooth and dense with a polar feature that minimizes defects, forms an excellent interface with the photoactive layer, and tunes the work function of ITO beneficial for hole extraction.

Lipids establish the specialized thylakoid membrane of chloroplast in eukaryotic photosynthetic organisms, while the molecular basis of lipid transfer from other organelles to chloroplast remains further elucidation. Here we revealed the structural basis of Sec14 homology proteins AtSFH5 and AtSFH7 in transferring phosphatidic acid (PA) from endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to chloroplast, and whose function in regulating the lipid composition of chloroplast and thylakoid development. AtSFH5 and AtSFH7 localize at both ER and chloroplast, whose deficiency resulted in an abnormal chloroplast structure and a decreased thickness of stacked thylakoid membranes.
