A series of Ni-MOF materials were synthesized by a one-step solvothermal method under different reaction conditions, including metal source, organic ligand, reaction time and reaction temperature. The results demonstrated that the Ni-MOFs synthesized with Ni(NO3)2•6H2O as the metal source had higher crystallinity and a more uniform crystalline structure than those with NiCl2•6H2O. Different organic ligands led to the formation of Ni-MOFs in various morphologies.

September 2025

Beijing Engineering Research Center of Sustainable Urban Sewage System Construction and Risk Control, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Beijing 100044, PR China.

Antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in bioaerosols pose significant health hazards to humans because of their inhalability. Municipal wastewater treatment plants (MWTPs) are one of the typical sources of bioaerosol generation. However, there is a lack of clear understanding of human-associated ARGs (HA-ARGs) in bioaerosols from MWTPs.

September 2025

Research Center of Nano Science and Technology, College of Sciences, Shanghai University, Shanghai 200444, PR China. Electronic address:

Ionic conductive hydrogels show promise for flexible sensors in wearables and e-skins, but balancing mechanical strength with high conductivity remains challenging. Herein, a triple-network ionic conductive hydrogel based on poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) was developed, synergistically reinforced by dissolved cellulose (dCel) and aramid nanofibers (ANF), with Al/Zn bimetallic ions serving as the conductive medium. Intriguingly, dCel was in-situ generated using the concentrated Al/Zn bimetallic salt solutions as the cellulose solvent, following the complete dissolution of the pulp fibers driven by the intensive ionic hydration of Al/Zn ions.

This study investigated the pyrolysis of mixed medical waste (MMW) in an indirectly heated rotary kiln, focusing on the effects of operating parameters (filling ratio, heat source temperature, and rotation speed) on the heat transfer performance and product distribution. The pyrolysis behaviors of individual components (cotton swabs, paper, bandages, and plastics) and their composite mixtures were characterized using thermogravimetric-differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA). The heat transfer characteristics, chemical reaction properties, kiln operating parameters, and interactions between the processes were also investigated.
