Artificial photosynthesis of fuels has garnered significant attention, with SrTiO emerging as a potential candidate for photocatalysis due to its exceptional physicochemical properties. However, selectively converting CO into fuels with desired reaction products remains a grand challenge. Herein, we design an updated method via an aging strategy based on the electrospinning technique to synthesize a single-crystalline Al-doped SrTiO nanotubular networks with self-assembled orderly mesopores, further modified by Cu-Pd alloy.

Oncogene activation and epigenome dysregulation drive tumor initiation and progression, contributing to tumor immune evasion and compromising the clinical response to immunotherapy. Epigenetic immunotherapy represents a promising paradigm in conquering cancer immunosuppression, whereas few relevant drug combination and delivery strategies emerge in the clinic. This study presents a well-designed triune nanomodulator, termed ROCA, which demonstrates robust capabilities in tumor epigenetic modulation and immune microenvironment reprogramming for cancer epigenetic immunotherapy.

Amine-functionalized silica aerogel globules (AFSAGs) were first synthesized via a simple ball drop casting method followed by amine grafting. The effect of grafting time on the structure and CO adsorption performance of the AFSAGs was investigated. The CO adsorption performance was comprehensively studied by breakthrough curves, adsorption capacity and rates, surface amine loading and density, amine efficiency, adsorption halftime, and cyclic stability.

Hydrogen production from organic waste by gasification and reforming technologies offers major benefits to both the environment and climate. The long-term stability and regeneration of the reforming catalyst are still the biggest challenges because of carbon deposition. Here we report a recyclable salt-supported nickel oxide NiO/NaX (X: F, Cl, Br) catalyst for effective autothermal reforming of the oxygenated volatile organic compound (OVOC) ethyl acetate to hydrogen.

High fluorescence background poses a substantial challenge to surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS), thereby limiting its broader applicability across diverse domains. In this work, silver nanoparticle (Ag NP)-loaded graphene oxide aerogel nanomaterials (GO-Ag ANM) were prepared for sensitive SERS detection of fluorescent explosive 2,4,8,10-tetranitrobenzo-1,3,6,6-tetraazapentaenopyridine (BPTAP) by a fluorescence quenching strategy. By harnessing the fluorescence quenching properties of graphene and the localized surface plasmon resonance of silver nanoparticles, the synthesized aerogels exhibited effective fluorescence quenching and Raman enhancement capabilities when employed for BPTAP analysis with 532 nm laser excitation.

The pressing demand for innovative approaches to create delivery systems with heightened drug loading and prolonged circulation has spurred numerous efforts, yielding some successes but accompanied by constraints. Our study proposes employing dendritic lipopeptide with precisely balanced opposing charges to extend blood residency for biomimetic nanoplatforms. Neutrally mixed-charged zwitterionic nanoparticles (NNPs) achieved a notable 19 % simvastatin loading content and kept stable even after one-month storage at 4 °C.

Aerogels emerge as captivating contenders within the realm of high-temperature thermal resistance and thermal insulation. Nevertheless, their practical applications are usually constrained by their inherent brittleness when subjected to rigorous conditions. Herein, employing hafnium dichloride oxide octahydrate (HfOCl·8HO) as the hafnium source and resorcinol-formaldehyde (RF) as the carbon precursor, hafnium carbide (HfC) aerogels are fabricated via the sol-gel method complemented with carbothermal reduction reaction.

The development of FeOas lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) anode is greatly restricted by its poor electronic conductivity and structural stability. To solve these issues, this work presentsconstruction of three-dimensional crumpled FeO@N-TiCTcomposite by solvothermal-freeze-drying process, in which wormlike FeOnanoparticles (10-50 nm)nucleated and grew on the surface of N-doped TiCTnanosheets with Fe-O-Ti bonding. As a conductive matrix, N-doping endows TiCTwith more active sites and higher electron transfer efficiency.

With the rapid development of industry and the acceleration of urbanization, oil pollution has caused serious damage to water, and its treatment has always been a research hotspot. Compared with traditional adsorption materials, aerogel has the advantages of light weight, large adsorption capacity and high selective adsorption, features that render it ideal as a high-performance sorbent for water treatment. The objective of this research was to develop novel hydrophobic polymer-reinforced silica aerogel microspheres (RSAMs) with water glass as the precursor, aminopropyltriethoxysilane as the modifier, and styrene as the crosslinker for oil removal from water.

Plasmonic absorbers with broadband angle-insensitive antireflection have attracted intense interests because of its wide applications in optical devices. Hybrid surfaces with multiple different sub-wavelength array units can provide broadened antireflection, while many of these antireflective surfaces only work for specific angles and require high complexity of nanofabrication. Here, a plasmonic asymmetric nanostructure composed of the moth-eye dielectric nanoarray partially modified with the top Ag nanoshell providing a side opening for broadband incident-angle-insensitive antireflection and absorption, is rationally designed by nanoimprinting lithography and oblique angle deposition.

The advent of immune checkpoint inhibitors ushers in a new era of anti-tumor immunity. However, current clinical anti-PD-L1 antibodies only interdict PD-L1 on the membrane, which cannot diminish the complex cancer-promoting effects of intracellular PD-L1. Therefore, directly reducing the PD-L1 abundance of cancer cells might be a potential PD-L1 inhibitory strategy to circumvent the issues of current anti-PD-L1 antibodies.

Despite 3D bioprinting having emerged as an advanced method for fabricating complex in vitro models, developing suitable bioinks that fulfill the opposing requirements for the biofabrication window still remains challenging. Although naturally derived hydrogels can better mimic the extracellular matrix (ECM) of numerous tissues, their weak mechanical properties usually result in architecturally simple shapes and patchy functions of in vitro models. Here, this limitation is addressed by a peptide-dendrimer-reinforced bioink (HC-PDN) which contained the peptide-dendrimer branched PEG with end-grafted norbornene (PDN) and the cysteamine-modified HA (HC).

Injectable and stable hydrogels have great promise for clinical applications. Fine-tuning the injectability and the stability of the hydrogels at different stages has been challenging due to the limited number of coupling reactions. A distinct "reversible to irreversible" concept using a thiazolidine-based bioorthogonal reaction between 1,2-aminothiols and aldehydes in physiological conditions to surmount the dilemma between injectability and stability is presented for the first time.

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have gained increasing attention in various biomedical applications. However, conventional therapeutic approaches, such as direct intravenous injection, are associated with low cell survival due to the shear force during injection and the oxidative stress microenvironments in the lesion area. Herein, a photo-crosslinkable antioxidant hydrogel based on tyramine- and dopamine-modified hyaluronic acid (HA-Tyr/HA-DA) was developed.
