Background: Perceived family resilience, which refers to the subjective assessment of family members regarding their family's ability to effectively adapt and maintain stability during challenging times, has been negatively correlated with mental health issues such as anxiety and depression in numerous studies; however, the strength of this association has varied significantly across previous research. This study fills this gap through a three-level meta-analysis.

Method: This study aims to obtain reliable estimates of effect sizes and explore potential moderating factors in the relationship between perceived family resilience and symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Background: The role of the gut microbiome in respiratory infections is increasingly recognized. We have found that a gut commensal strain, Bacteroides dorei RX2020 (B. dorei) previously isolated from healthy human fecal microbiota, alleviates influenza virus infection, but the underlying mechanisms remain elusive.

Background: Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) exhibits marked heterogeneity, with relational (R; interpersonal) and nonrelational (NR; environmental) trauma subtypes demonstrating distinct psychopathological trajectories. Despite clinical recognition of these differences, their neurobiological underpinnings of emotion processing remain poorly understood. Guided by the Nested Hierarchical Model of Self (NHMS) - which posits trauma-type-specific disruptions in hierarchical self-processing systems - this study investigated neural mechanisms differentiating among PTSD subtypes during implicit emotion regulation.

The high comorbidity of major depressive disorder (MDD), anxiety disorders (ANX), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) complicates the study of their structural neural correlates, particularly in white matter (WM) alterations. Using fractional anisotropy (FA), this meta-analysis aimed to identify both unique and shared WM characteristics for these disorders by comparing them with healthy controls (HC). The aggregated sample size across studies includes 3,661 individuals diagnosed with MDD, ANX, or PTSD and 3,140 HC participants.

Influenza, a highly transmissible acute respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses, is responsible for annual seasonal epidemics and poses a substantial global disease burden. While primarily recognized for its respiratory manifestations, influenza infection exhibits significant extrapulmonary effects, particularly through disrupting gut microbiota composition and compromising intestinal barrier integrity. This study investigates the protective efficacy of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum strain GUANKE against influenza-associated intestinal pathology in a murine model.

Internet-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (iACT) offers a promising, scalable intervention format for individuals with bipolar disorder (BD), yet its feasibility and preliminary efficacy remain underexplored. This pilot randomized controlled trial evaluated the acceptability, feasibility, and initial efficacy of a 7-day self-guided iACT program delivered via a secure, mobile-responsive platform. Seventy individuals were screened, of whom 60 clinically stable adults with BD (aged 18-60) met eligibility criteria and were randomized to either the iACT group (n = 30) or an active control group receiving digital psychoeducation (n = 30), yielding a recruitment rate of 85.

Background: Sleep disturbances and difficulties in emotion regulation are core symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and are closely related. However, the neural mechanisms underlying this relationship remain underexplored. To address this gap, we used task-based functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to examine brain mechanisms related to emotional processing and regulation in PTSD patients with and without insomnia.

Objective: Empathy is a critical skill for effective counselling, yet novice counsellors often struggle to develop it. Traditional training methods may not sufficiently address the complexities of empathic development. This study aims to develop and assess an empathy training programme using machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP) to enhance empathy in novice counsellors.

Objective: With the increasing prevalence of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), the rational use of antibiotics is crucial. This study aimed to evaluate the antibiotic use patterns and influencing factors of compliance in Shanxi Province Hospitals between 2015 and 2021 and provide data support for the management of antibiotics.

Design: This was a retrospective observational study of trends in antibiotic use and data reporting trends in the context of antimicrobial stewardship (AMS).

Although numerous studies have observed a negative correlation between family resilience and perceived stress, the strength of this relationship has exhibited significant variability in previous research. This study aimed to elucidate the relationship between family resilience and perceived stress, investigating the moderating roles of various factors. Employing a three-level meta-analysis, the research scrutinized 23 selected studies involving 17,480 participants and 99 effect sizes, following a comprehensive literature search and screening.

This study aims to investigate the effects of ulinastatin on therapeutic outcomes and inflammatory markers in children with septic shock. This study selected 117 children with septic shock admitted to our hospital from April 2023 to April 2024. Among them, 7 children had comorbidities, 3 dropped out during the research process, 5 did not continue to participate in the study due to other reasons, and 4 explicitly refused to participate.

Traditional diagnostic methods for major depressive disorder (MDD), which rely on subjective assessments, may compromise diagnostic accuracy. In contrast, machine learning models have the potential to classify and diagnose MDD more effectively, reducing the risk of misdiagnosis associated with conventional methods. The aim of this meta-analysis is to evaluate the overall classification accuracy of machine learning models in MDD and examine the effects of machine learning algorithms, biomarkers, diagnostic comparison groups, validation procedures, and participant age on classification performance.

Background/objectives: Gut microbiota is essential for maintaining host immune homeostasis and has been confirmed to be closely related to some intestinal and extraintestinal diseases. , as the dominant bacterial genus in the human gut, has attracted great attention due to its excellent metabolic activity, but there are few studies on species. In our previous study, a gut commensal strain, RX2020 (), was isolated from healthy human feces and exhibited superior flavonoid metabolic activity, prompting further analysis of its uncharacterized genomic features, probiotic potential, safety, and immunomodulatory activity.

GUANKE ( GUANKE) is a Gram-positive bacterium isolated from the feces of healthy volunteers. Whole-genome sequencing analysis (WGS) revealed that the genome of GUANKE consists of one chromosome and two plasmids, with the chromosome harbors 2955 CDS, 66 tRNAs, and 5 rRNAs. The genome is devoid of virulence factors and Clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated (Cas) systems.

Background: The burden of cerebral microbleeds (CMBs) is greater in patients with dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) than in those with Parkinson disease dementia (PDD), while few studies have been carried out in a large sample size, or focused on the prodromal stage. Thus, we investigated the clinical prevalence of CMBs and its relationship to clinical features in patients with DLB, PDD, mild cognitive impairment with Lewy bodies (MCI-LB) and Parkinson's disease with MCI (PD-MCI) in this study.

Methods: In this retrospective multicenter cohort study, the study population consisted of 486 patients with DLB, 262 cases with PDD, 74 cases with MCI-LB and 107 cases with PD-MCI from 22 memory clinics between January 2018 and June 2022 in China.

Background: The phenomenon of cyberbullying is becoming increasingly severe, and many studies focus on the negative psychological impacts of cyberbullying survivors. However, current survey methods cannot provide direct and reliable evidence of the short-term psychological effects of cyberbullying survivors, as it is impractical to measure psychological changes before and after such an unpredictable event in a short period.

Objective: This study aims to explore the psychological impacts of cyberbullying on survivors during the pericyberbullying period, defined as the critical time frame surrounding the first cyberbullying incident, encompassing the psychological changes before, during, and after the event.
