MXene-based wave-absorbing materials face challenges in practical applications such as severe sheet stacking and low dielectric loss. Herein, we used two-dimensional (2D) layered TiCT MXene as the backbone and stereoscopic magnetic cobalt (Co) crystals as the buttress and coating to design a connected three-dimensional layered sandwich heterostructure. By adjustment of the ratio of raw materials, Co crystals were anchored both within the interlayer gaps of the adjacent 2D sheets and on their surfaces through electrostatic and ion-dipole interactions with the functional groups of TiCT.

BackgroundStatins are the standard treatment for coronary atherosclerosis; however, some patients require additional therapies for optimal plaque regression. Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) inhibitors (PCSK9i), including monoclonal antibodies and small interfering RNA-based therapies, have shown promise as adjuncts to statins, although their efficacy for coronary plaque regression, as assessed by intravascular imaging, remains uncertain.MethodsWe conducted a meta-analysis to compare the treatment efficacy of statins combined with PCSK9i (PCSK9i group) versus statins alone or statins combined with placebo (control group) in adults with coronary atherosclerosis (INPLASY registration number: INPLASY202550027).

C nanofibers dotted with square Fe@C crystals derived from metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with a novel 3D hierarchical architecture were successfully prepared through electrospinning, hydrothermal processing, and high-temperature pyrolysis. The introduction of carbon nanofibers endowed the particles with directional action and mechanical support, inhibiting local agglomeration and the collapse of the Fe@C crystals. The unique overall 3D porous structure with micro-concavities on its surface provided sufficient paths for electromagnetic wave transmission, abundant heterostructured interfaces for interfacial polarization and a connected network for conductive loss.

Background: Aging-related liver and brain damage caused by oxidative stress and inflammation significantly impacts health and quality of life. Natural bioactive compounds, such as 6'-O-caffeoylarbutin (CA), which is primarily distributed in Vaccinium species, have been studied for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. This study aims to investigate the protective effect on liver and brain damage induced by D-galactose (D-gal) in mice and to explore its potential molecular mechanisms.

Currently, to deal with the increasingly severe energy crisis and environmental consequences, photocatalytic technology is considered as a promise solution, and the construction of Z-scheme heterostructures are important strategies to maximize the utilization of solar energy and improve photocatalytic performance. Herein, a novel full spectrum-responsive Z-scheme Bi-BiVO-BiTiO heterojunction was constructed by a facile hydrothermal method without any templates or surfactants. A series of detailed analyses revealed that the novel Bi-BiVO-BiTiO heterojunction catalyst were prepared successfully.

To study the autonomous walking performance and corresponding electromechanical characteristics of unmanned mining equipment under different slopes, turning radii, and ground conditions. Firstly, the autonomous walking systems based on PID, fuzzy PID, and BP PID, in this paper, are constructed, and then the electromechanical coupling simulation is carried out to analyse autonomous walking performance and electromechanical characteristics of mining double-track chassis under different working conditions. Finally, the feasibility of the autonomous walking system based on fuzzy PID is verified by the path-tracking experiment.

Background: Single-domain von Willebrand factor type C (SVWC) constitute a protein family predominantly identified in arthropods, characterized by a SVWC domain and involved in diverse physiological processes such as host defense, stress resistance, and nutrient metabolism. Nevertheless, the physiological mechanisms underlying these functions remain inadequately comprehended.

Results: A massive expansion of the SVWC gene family in Musca domestica (MdSVWC) was discovered, with a count of 35.

Characterizing radioactive aerosol particles released from actinide metals on fires represents a pivotal process in nuclear emergency response. However, the precise characterization of these particles and the deep understanding of their formation mechanism remain a daunting challenge due to the lack of in-situ measurement techniques. We presented the first real-time investigation of respirable particles with the size ranging from 2 nm to 10 μm, emitted from the combustion of cerium metal (CM) as surrogate for actinide counterparts.

Steroids are potential anti-leukemia agents, and Epigynum auritum is a Yunnan folk medicine with high levels of androsterone, pregnane, and steroid derivatives. However, the underlying therapeutic mechanism of androsta-4,6,8,14-tetraene-3,11,16-trione (ATT), an androsterone isolated from Epigynum auritum, is not yet clear. This study aimed to explore the anti-leukemia mechanism of ATT using molecular biology, network pharmacology, and molecular docking technology.

Que Zui tea (QT) is an important herbal tea in the diet of the 'Yi' people, an ethnic group in China, and it has shown significant antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and hepatoprotective effects in vitro. This study aims to explore the protective effects of the aqueous-ethanol extract (QE) taken from QT against ᴅ-galactose (ᴅ-gal)-induced oxidative stress damage in mice and its potential mechanisms. QE was identified as UHPLC-HRMS/MS for its chemical composition and possible bioactive substances.

Ovarian cancer (OC) cells typically reprogram their metabolism to promote rapid proliferation. However, the role of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) in the metabolic reprogramming of ovarian cancer, especially in glucose metabolic reprogramming, remains largely unknown. LINC00629 has been reported in our previous study to promote osteosarcoma progression.

Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) is a commonly encountered and diagnostically complex etiology of acute liver failure, characterized by early indications of hepatic oxidative stress. The most economical approach for DILI treatment is effective and durable oxidative stress prevention. Herein, we propose a long-lasting nanoantioxidant called PDA-Zn-BAI NPs characterized by sustained-release of baicalein (a natural antioxidant) for the long-lasting prevention of DILI.
