Flexible strain sensors are pivotal for the advancement of robotics, wearable healthcare, and human-machine interaction in the post-Moore era. However, conventional materials struggle to simultaneously achieve high sensitivity, a broad strain range, and low power consumption for cutting-edge applications. In this work, the issue is addressed through single crystal 1D tellurium nanoribbons (NRs), which are synthesized on SiO/Si substrate by hydrogen-assisted chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method.

Obacunone (Oba), a natural triterpenoid with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, may address metabolic disorders, but its role in MAFLD is unclear.
Purpose: To investigate Oba's effects in high-fat diet (HFD)-induced MAFLD mice and free fatty acid (FFA)-stimulated HepG2 cells.
Introduction: HDL particle functionality is influenced by its structure, including lipid composition. However, the effects of exercise training on the HDL lipidome and its relationship with HDL-related traits are largely unknown.
Objective: To investigate the HDL lipidome of 154 adults before and after 20 weeks of endurance exercise training in the HERITAGE Family Study.
Flexible strain sensors with high sensitivity and stability at high temperatures are significantly desirable for their accurate and long-term signal detection in wearable devices, environment monitoring, and aerospace electronics. Despite the considerable efforts in materials development and structural design, it remains a challenge to develop highly sensitive, flexible strain sensors operating at high temperatures due to the trade-off between sensitivity and stability for the representative sensing materials. Herein, we develop a high-temperature flexible sensor using MoWS alloy films.

Objective: To summarize the research and clinical application progress of foot lengthening surgery.
Methods: Relevant research literature on foot lengthening surgery in recent years at home and abroad was reviewed, and a summary was made from aspects such as the types of lengthening surgery, the types of foot diseases treated by clinical application, effectiveness, and complications.
Results: Bone defects and shortening deformities of the foot are relatively common clinically.
Background: This study aimed to investigate the early-to-mid-term efficacy of supramalleolar osteotomy (SMO) for the management of post-traumatic ankle arthritis resulting from previous fractures.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 19 individuals with post-traumatic ankle arthritis secondary to old fractures treated with SMO between March 2018 and September 2022. The cohort included 6 males and 13 females, aged 15 to 59 years, with an average of 37.
High-performance flexible sensing electronics on complex surfaces operating across broad temperatures are critical for aerospace and industrial applications. However, existing flexible sensors and materials face limitations in sensitivity and thermal stability. Here, we report an ink-engineering strategy to directly print single-face MoWNb medium entropy alloy paints on arbitrary surfaces without complicated post-processing.

However, the poor photo-oxidation capability and fast recombination of photogenerated carriers constrain the application potential of BiOI. Introducing surface defects offers a compelling strategy for enhancing the photocatalytic performance.

Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) has emerged as a leading cause of mortality among elderly patients with diabetes mellitus (DM). Currently, the pathogenic mechanisms underlying diabetic cardiomyopathy remain elusive. In the present study, we treated with H9C2 cells high glucose (Glu) and palmitic acid (PA) to establish an in vitro model, followed by proteomic profiling.

Sphingosine 1-phosphate, a product of sphingomyelin metabolism, serves as a signaling molecule implicated in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis and other conditions by binding to sphingosine 1-phosphate receptors (S1PRs). However, the precise mechanism by which S1PRs influence atherosclerosis remains incompletely understood.

Neuromorphic computing, a promising solution to the von Neumann bottleneck, is paving the way for next-generation computing and sensing systems. However, most studies of artificial synapses mimic only static plasticity, which is far from achieving the complex behaviors of the human brain. Here, we report a reliable neuromorphic computing system that integrates a top floating gate memory architecture and uses peculiar ambipolar tellurium (Te) as a channel material to fabricate reliable nonvolatile memory cells.
