This study aimed to examine reading interest profiles among preservice Chinese language teachers and related factors making them begin to like or dislike reading. In total, 321 college students majoring in Chinese language education in elementary and secondary schools participated in this study and completed a reading interest questionnaire. The questionnaire contains one close-ended question asking about their reading interest levels across seven periods (from preschool to college) and three open-ended questions asking about the reasons influencing their reading interest levels.

Methods: We analysed the R (-) and S (+) enantiomers of HCQ. Cell viability and proliferation inhibition were quantified using CCK-8 and 5-ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine (EdU) assays, respectively.
Rationale: With the development of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology, most of the research tends to find that there is a significant positive correlation between white matter hyperintensities (WMHs) and cognitive dysfunction in cerebral small vessel vascular disease. In this paper, we report 2 cases of cerebral small vessel disease with significant differences in cognitive function and analyze them by multidimensional assessment using imaging technology so as to provide a methodological reference for identifying and diagnosing the causes of differences in cognitive function in cerebral small vessel disease patients.
Patient Concerns: Patient 1 was a 64-year-old middle-aged man who presented 10 years ago with slow reaction time, memory loss, and loss of self-care ability, and MRI suggested multiple ischemic infarct foci with cerebral white matter changes.

Small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapies hold great potential for treating myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI); while their practical application is limited by the low bioavailability, off-target effects, and poor therapeutic efficacy. Here, we present an innovative engineered neutrophil membrane-camouflaged nanocomplex for targeted siRNA delivery and effective MIRI therapy. In this study, bacterial cellulose simulating the structure of extracellular matrix was used as a 3D culture platform, and THP-1-derived M1 macrophages, representing the inflammatory component, human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs), simulating the vascular component, and rheumatoid arthritis fibroblast-like synoviocytes (RA-FLSs), embodying the synovial pathology, were co-cultured to simulate the pathological microenvironment in RA synovial tissues, and synovial organoids were constructed.

B. plicatilis was exposed to different concentrations of HBCD diastereoisomers, and the results showed that α-, β- and γ-HBCD exhibited various toxicity on it, the adverse effects on individual life history traits included shortened lifespan, shortened body length and reduced offspring number. Population dynamics analysis showed that the maximum population density and time to reach it were also significantly influenced.

In vivo, we employed auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing and ribbon synapses counting to assess changes in mouse hearing function, and observed the morphology of hair cells through scanning electron microscopy. Surgical excision remains the principal treatment for melanoma, while tumor recurrence and delayed wound healing often occur due to the residual tumor cells and hypoxic microenvironment in the postoperative skin wounds. Herein, we present a living photosynthetic microneedle (MN) patch (namely MA/CM@MN) loaded with microalgae (MA) and cuttlefish melanin (CM) for postsurgical melanoma therapy and skin wound healing. Benefiting from the oxygenic photosynthesis of the alive MA in the MN base, the MA/CM@MN can generate oxygen under light exposure, thus facilitating skin cell proliferation and protecting cells against hypoxia-induced cell death.
