China's Zero-COVID Policy imposed stringent restrictions on citizens' mobility to curb the spread of COVID-19. While effective in reducing viral transmission, these measures may have inadvertently delayed or deterred vaccine uptake by fostering a heightened sense of security. This study examines the relationships between intra- and inter-regional travel mobility and individual hesitancy towards COVID-19 vaccines (HCV), leveraging the Baidu Mobility Index and data from a cross-sectional survey of 12,000 participants.

Beamforming technology using loudspeaker arrays is widely used in sound applications, but current sparse array design methods focus on optimizing a single beam for a single target direction, limiting their applicability to multi-channel sound systems. This paper presents a design method for sparse loudspeaker line arrays to generate wideband frequency-invariant beams in multiple target directions. A model based on tapped delay lines is developed and a two-stage design approach is proposed.

Global health 2050 (GH2050), a new report from the Lancet Commission on Investing in Health, finds that dramatic improvements in human welfare are achievable by mid-century with focused health investments. By 2050, countries that choose to do so can halve their probability of premature death (PPD)—the probability of dying before age 70—from their pre-pandemic level in 2019. We call this goal “50 by 50”: a 50% reduction in PPD by 2050.
