Radioresistance is a major obstacle to effective radiotherapy in breast cancer. BUB1 mitotic checkpoint serine/threonine kinase B (BUB1B) is involved in numerous biological processes associated with cancer; however, its specific role in mediating radioresistance in breast cancer remains poorly characterized. The present study first evaluated its expression profile and association with patient prognosis through bioinformatics analysis.

However, many ALL patients eventually develop relapses, the treatment of which remains a major challenge due to their chemoresistance phenotype. As a step towards this end, we here uncovered that relapsed ALL specimens exhibit a significantly lower expression of STAT6 but not of other STATs, when compared with their paired diagnosis specimens.

Due to existing metabolic abnormalities, surgical stress may further impair the recovery of physiological functions in these patients. This study aimed to investigate the predictive value of the Estimation of Physiologic Ability and Surgical Stress (E-PASS) system for postoperative RLN injury in patients with T2DM complicated by thyroid cancer.

Environmental DNA (eDNA) metabarcoding provides a rapid, standardized tool for biodiversity assessment, yet limitations such as primer bias and incomplete reference databases prevent it from fully replacing traditional morphological identification. Here, we proposed an integrated framework that combines morphological identification with eDNA metabarcoding to enhance the accuracy and scalability of benthic invertebrate diversity assessments in coral reef ecosystems.

Herein, we describe the development of a long-acting and stapled GLP-1R/GIPR/GCGR triple agonist that exhibits balanced bioactivities comparable with those of their native ligands along with improved pharmacokinetic parameters. A robust and straightforward solid-phase Ugi macrocyclization strategy enables the facile synthesis of targeted peptides with a side-chain protractor attached on the exocyclic lactam bridge.

Forensic studies have shown myocardial interstitial fibrosis in patients with a history of prolonged overwork, but the mechanisms connecting overwork to cardiovascular disorders remain unclear. This study investigates Klotho expression in the heart and kidney of an overworked rat model.

Microorganisms have evolved a "biofunnel" pathway in nature that offers novel insights into lignin valorization. Among the key intermediates in lignin metabolism is catechol, predominantly metabolized by catechol 1,2-dioxygenase (CatA) in these organisms.

The traditional Demirjian method assesses the development of seven mandibular teeth in pediatric dentistry, but it is time-consuming and relies heavily on subjective judgment.
Methods: This study constructed a largescale panoramic dental image dataset and applied various convolutional neural network (CNN) models for automated age estimation.
Purpose: Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs), a serious diabetes complication, greatly increase disability and mortality, underscoring the need for effective diagnostic markers.
Methods: We used GSE199939 and GSE134431 datasets from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database, removed batch effects, and identified differentially expressed genes (DEGs). The weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) was used to identify co-expression modules, followed by the integration of the protein-protein interaction (PPI) network to screen key genes, which were further optimized using LASSO regression.

Maxillofacial bone defects, a common challenge in oral and maxillofacial surgery, affect over 2 million patients globally each year due to tumor resection, trauma, or infection. Beyond their role in mastication and speech, the structural integrity of jaw bones is critical for facial aesthetics. Current clinical treatments rely on autologous bone grafts, which are limited by donor site morbidity, or allografts with immune rejection risks.

The study revealed that excessive inflammatory responses, neutrophil activation, and T-cell dysfunction are the main characteristics of ICH. A multi-machine learning framework was utilized to construct a predictive model for ICH risk in hypertensive patients.

This study introduces a novel AI-driven solution using a Structure from Motion-Convolutional Neural Network (SfM-CNN) model to automate chemical composition analysis of Chinese food. By integrating advanced 3D reconstruction techniques with deep learning, specifically the Scale-Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) algorithm, we achieved superior feature extraction and food volume estimation with less than 4 % error.

However, implementation was disrupted by security concerns, infectious disease outbreaks, and supply shortages. This study evaluates how these interruptions affected intervention effectiveness to inform future malaria control strategies.

We found that CP-25 inhibits the abnormal proliferation and migration of inflammatory fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLS). However, the mechanism by which CP-25 is absorbed by FLS remains unclear.

Methods: This retrospective study included 64 eyes from 48 DR patients who underwent 24×20 mm SS-OCTA and UWFA examinations. NPAs were manually annotated, and the detection rates and distribution patterns across retinal quadrants were analyzed and compared between the two imaging modalities.
