Childhood and adolescent cancer in China is on the rise, and the long-term adverse effects of treatment have increasingly compromised the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of affected patients. This review aimed to elucidate HRQoL among Chinese children and adolescents with cancer and to critically summarize the multifactorial determinants influencing their well-being. A comprehensive search was conducted across both Chinese and English databases for studies published from 2010 to December 2024.

Background: The increasingly rising incidence of cancer among children and adolescents has led to notable psychological challenges for this population. Art therapy, classified within the realm of complementary and alternative medicine interventions and psychotherapy, demonstrates promising potential psychological benefits for children and adolescents. Therefore, a systematic review was conducted to determine the effects of art therapy on improving psychological outcomes among patients with pediatric cancer and identify the details of art therapy.

Establishment and application of an intelligent management platform for home medication for children with leukemia.

Objective: This study aimed to establish an intelligent management platform for home medication for children with leukemia and verify its efficacy in enhancing home medication compliance in children with leukemia using intelligent approaches.

Background And Aims: Cancer and its treatments may cause neurocognitive impairments in preschool children, but there is limited research on the neurocognitive outcomes of this population. This study, which assessed the neurocognitive function of preschool children with cancer and analyzed various influencing factors of neurocognitive functioning, is of significant importance. We aimed to investigate neurocognitive function and related risk factors in preschool children with cancer to inform preventive and intervention strategies.

The environmental friendliness, economic feasibility, and high efficiency of carbon quantum dots (CQDs) render them as highly promising candidates for corrosion inhibitors. The present study proposed the fabrication of nitrogen- and sulfur-codoped CQDs via an one-step hydrothermal method using l-cysteine and 4-aminosalicylic acid as precursors. The structure, particle size, and surface ligands of the prepared CQDs were determined through spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy characterization.

We describe a 35-year old Caucasian adult with asthma who presented with progressive dyspnoea, cough, peripheral eosinophilia and imaging that showed pulmonary nodules with pleural effusions.
