As the composition of animal cell culture medium becomes more complex, the identification of key variables is important for simplifying and guiding the subsequent medium optimization. However, the traditional experimental design methods are impractical and limited in their ability to explore such large feature spaces. Genes of the ICE (Inducer of CBF Expression) family play a key role in cold and freezing stresses response via the CBF regulatory pathway. Here, a TCP4 homolog isolated from Chrysanthemum nankingense was shown to be more strongly transcribed in the diploid than in the autotetraploid form of the species. Engineering surface structure of catalysts is an efficient way towards high catalytic performance. Here, we report on the synthesis of regular iridium nanospheres (Ir NSs), with abundant atomic steps prepared by a laser ablation technique. Atomic steps, consisting of one-atom level covering the surface of such Ir NSs, were observed by aberration-corrected high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy (HAADF-STEM) The prepared Ir NSs exhibited remarkably enhanced activity both for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in acidic medium.

Objective: To investigate the effect of the long chain non-coding RNA H19 (lncRNA H19) on the invasion and migration of oral cancer cells and its related molecular mechanism.
Methods: The expression levels of lncRNA H19, miR-107, and cyclin-dependent kinase 6 (CDK6) in the immortalized oral epithelial cell line HIOEC and the oral cancer cell line CAL27 were detected by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction. CAL27 cells were transfected with siRNA H19, miR-107 mimics, pcDNA H19, or anti-miR-107, and the effects of H19 and miR-107 on the invasion and migration of cells were examined via Transwell assay.

A new method based on work function to analyze the interfacial stability and strength of ceramic-metal composites was proposed in this work. The interfacial work function gradient and interfacial elastic modulus were evaluated experimentally using WC-Co and TiC-Co as the examples. It found that a stable and strongly bonded interface had a gradually changing interfacial work function, while a weak interface exhibited a steep work function changing across the interface.

A deep learning approach based on big data is proposed to locate broadband acoustic sources using a single hydrophone in ocean waveguides with uncertain bottom parameters. Several 50-layer residual neural networks, trained on a huge number of sound field replicas generated by an acoustic propagation model, are used to handle the bottom uncertainty in source localization. Methods: The degradation reaction was monitored by HPLC and the fragment structures were confirmed by LC-MS.
