Background: The proto-oncogene c-Abl has been implicated in tumor progression across multiple cancer types, but its role in glioma remains poorly understood. This study aimed to investigate the function of c-Abl in glioma progression and assess its potential as a therapeutic target.
Methods: High-throughput RNA sequencing was conducted on U-87 glioma cells following c-Abl knockdown.
The Ordos Basin is a typical craton basin. Underpressure exists in the tight sandstone reservoirs of the Chang 7 member of the Upper Triassic Yanchang Formation in the Yishan slope of the basin. However, overpressure was verified in these reservoirs during the Early Cretaceous period, and the evolution process from overpressure to underpressure is still unclear.

As an ideal autonomous all-in-one patch for long-term precision medicine on melanoma, several units, including sensing, drug delivery, power supply, and smart control, are required. Here, a microneedle-based sensing and drug release unit, a flexible printed-circuit board (FPCB)-based smart control platform, and a flexible Zn-air battery are integrated as an autonomous diagnosis-therapy system.

In this study, systematic review and network meta-analysis were performed to evaluate the risk of hyperuricemia associated with different nighttime sleep durations.
Methods: Seven databases were searched from database inception to March 2020.

Magnetocaloric refrigeration is one of the most promising next-generation solid-state caloric techniques to revolutionize the traditional air-compression technique. The La(Fe,Si)-based materials are recognized as candidates with potential for practical applications. However, flexible strategies to improve the Curie temperature (T) and further achieve the tunable giant magnetocaloric effect (GMCE) still need to be developed.

Esophageal cancer (EC) represents a highly recurrent and aggressive malignancy within the digestive system. However, conventional therapeutic strategies exhibit notable limitations in their clinical applications. Photothermal therapy (PTT), combined with ferroptosis, has attracted considerable attentions, emerging as a promising novel strategy for EC treatment.

Dynamic monitoring of redox processes in living cells exposed to nanomaterials is currently limited due to the inadequacy of conventional methods. Herein, we construct a Grx1-roGFP2 (glutaredoxin 1 fused with redox-sensitive Green Fluorescent Protein 2) protein sensor expressed in Madin-Darby Canine Kidney (MDCK) cells that allows dynamic analysis of metal oxide (MOx) nanoparticle-induced oxidative stress.

This study focused on understanding the genetic basis of GDR by utilizing a recombinant inbred line population of 310 lines derived from PB80 and PHJ65, assessed across three environments with high-density SNP markers.

In this study, Lithobates catesbeianus tadpoles were exposed to varying MC-LR concentrations (0, 0.5, and 2 µg/L) over a 30-day period.

This study retrospectively reviewed adult undergoing elective foot and ankle surgeries in a tertiary university-affiliated hospital between January 2019 and May 2023, and identified who subsequently developed an SSI within 12 months postoperative. CONUT score was calculated from serum albumin, lymphocyte count, and toral cholesterol concentration, and its optimal cut-off value for differentiating SSI risk was determined by the receiver operating characteristic curve.

The objective of this study is to determine TCO at various tilt angles by employing 3D printing for ex vivo osteotomy angle simulations and computer modeling to correct deformities across 3 planes, thus aiming to enhance surgical outcomes by preserving or even increasing the length of the first metatarsal and thereby overcoming the limitations of CO. In this study, we collected and analyzed non-weight-bearing CT data from 55 patients (61 feet) with mild-to-moderate hallux valgus, plantar callosities and metatarsalgia from June 2019 to June 2020.

Due to dwindling terrestrial uranium resources and escalating ecological pressures, the long-term viability of uranium supply has become a critical concern. The immense uranium reserves in seawater present a potential solution, yet extraction technology faces dual challenges of efficiency and adaptability to complex marine environments. Current interconnected porous adsorbents, despite their high flux properties, are limited by low specific surface area and weak mechanical strength, which constrain their effectiveness.

Taste sensation recognition is a core for taste-related queries. Most prior research has been devoted to recognizing the basic taste sensations using the Brain-Computer Interface (BCI), which includes EEG, MEG, EMG, and fMRI. This research aims to recognize electronic taste (E-Taste) sensations based on surface electromyography (sEMG).

Introduction: Granulocytic myeloid-derived suppressor cells (G-MDSCs) show fast recovery following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) constituting the major part of peripheral blood in the early phase. Although G-MDSCs mediate immune suppression through multiple mechanisms, they may also promote inflammation under specific conditions.
Methods: G-MDSCs were isolated from 82 patients following allo-HSCT within 90 days after allo-HSCT, and their interactions with autologous CD3 T-cells were examined.

Drugs targeting the DNA damage response (DDR) are widely used in cancer therapy, but resistance to these drugs remains a major clinical challenge. Here, we show that SYCP2, a meiotic protein in the synaptonemal complex, is aberrantly and commonly expressed in breast and ovarian cancers and associated with broad resistance to DDR drugs. Mechanistically, SYCP2 enhances the repair of DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) through transcription-coupled homologous recombination (TC-HR).
