This research establishes a competitive colorimetric detection platform for tetracycline (TC) residue analysis in milk and aqueous matrices, with implications for assessing antibiotic-derived health risks in dairy and potable water systems. According to the developed colorimetric competitive reaction model, steady-state kinetic analysis revealed that the Fe-doped CuO (Fe-CuO) nanozymes exhibit higher substrate affinity and faster reaction kinetics than conventional enzymes. The catalytic system utilized a bimetallic nanozyme composed of Fe-CuO, which exhibited enhanced catalytic performance, using 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) as the color-changing substrate.

The immunoproteasome, an inflammation-induced proteasome variant, coordinates proteostasis and adaptive immunity by replacing constitutive subunits (β1, β2, β5) with inducible counterparts (β1i, β2i, β5i). This specialization enhances antigen processing for MHC class I presentation and oxidative protein clearance. Beyond immune regulation, it critically contributes to cardiovascular, respiratory, neurodegenerative, autoimmune, retinal, and oncological pathologies through mechanisms involving NF-κB activation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and inflammatory polarization.

Due to the low incidence of thymoma and the relative rarity of alopecia areata (AA) as an associated autoimmune disease, patients with thymoma combined with AA are relatively uncommon in clinical practice. As a result, the clinicopathological features and pathogenesis of such patients have been rarely investigated.

This study investigated the expression of mitochondrial translocator protein (TSPO) in MPNST and its role in regulating ferroptosis.
Methods: TSPO expression was analyzed in adjacent non-tumor tissues, benign neurofibromas, and malignant tissues using real-time PCR, western blotting, immunohistochemistry staining.

Purpose: Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is a prevalent liver disease characterized by steatosis, inflammation, and liver injury. Despite its increasing incidence, effective treatments are limited. Butein, a flavonoid with anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties, has not been thoroughly studied for its potential therapeutic effects in NASH.

However, conventional approaches lack the capacity for direct, rapid, and high-throughput differentiation of licorice mixtures and structurally analogous ingredients. Herein, we present a multisite-binding Color-BiLink () strategy for constructing the dual-mode responsive sensor array, formed by a quantifiable-recognized bifunctional -nitrophenylboronic acid-modified PEI () and four dyes through dynamic, reversible covalent, and electrostatic interactions.

As a phenylethanoid glycoside derived from Cistanche tubulosa (Schenk) Wight, echinacoside (ECH) exhibits an array of pharmacological effects. However, there has been little research specifically focused on the impact of ECH on glial scar repair following IS.

Studies have found that the dysfunction of a variety of bone cells will lead to enhanced bone resorption and reduced bone formation capacity, thus resulting in the imbalance of bone homeostasis and OP disease. As a class of regulatory death mode that affects cell function, programmed cell death (PCD) has been proved to play an important role in maintaining various bone cells growth activities and maintaining bone homeostasis.

This study aimed to investigate the bidirectional causal relationship between MMPs/TIMP and HIV. A genome-wide association study-based two-sample bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis was conducted to elucidate the potential causal links between MMPs/TIMP and HIV.

Organic matter (OM) sequestrated by iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn) complex minerals may be an effective way to achieve organic carbon (OC) persistence in sediments and soils. However, the impact of Fe-Mn complex minerals from a redox reaction of Fe(II) and birnessite on OC dynamics remains unexplored. Herein, the immobilization and molecular transformation of fulvic acid (FA), mediated by a redox reaction of Fe(II) and birnessite, were investigated at pH 4.

Background: Cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (CI/R) has detrimental effects in cases of ischemic stroke. This notably triggers the blood-brain-barrier (BBB) to break. Known for its ability to provide neuroprotective benefits, rosmarinic acid (RosA) is a phenolic acid compound in the Lamiaceae family of plants.

Social engagement, including participation in voluntary organizations, is vital for healthy aging. This study investigated the impact of the global pandemic on the participation of older adults aged 60 years and above in 10 types of voluntary organizations. Utilizing detailed COVID-19 data from the World Health Organization and the Integrated Values Surveys across 9 countries that collected data on voluntary organization participation before and during the pandemic, this study employed Difference-in-Difference models to estimate the pandemic's effect on the likelihood of older adults participating in voluntary services.

Ribosome engineering, a strategy that utilizes antibiotic resistance mutations to modulate ribosomal function, has emerged as a powerful approach for enhancing microbial metabolite production. In this study, ribosome engineering was applied to Saccharopolyspora pogona ASAGF2-G4 under streptomycin selection to improve butenyl-spinosyn production. Screening for streptomycin-resistant mutants at concentrations ranging from 2 to 20 µg/mL resulted in the isolation of 58 mutants, of which 27.

The surface acidity of dry soils and minerals cannot be measured by using traditional methods such as potentiometric and temperature-programmed desorption methods.
