A novel partial discharge (PD) source localization method was proposed based on the traditional time difference in arrival (TDOA) method. Specifically, the non-line-of-sight (NLOS) propagation phenomenon of the ultra-high-frequency (UHF) signal was considered, and the NLOS propagation error was approximately replaced by a constant, thereby limiting the effect of NLOS propagation. Moreover, the strategy of utilizing more than four sensors was adopted to reduce the possible effect of overcorrection on NLOS propagation.

An undescribed cyclic nonapeptide (1) was isolated from the crude root extract of the medicinal plant Stellaria yunnanensis Franch. Comprehensive spectral analysis was performed utilizing high-resolution mass spectrometry, one- and two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and experimental and calculated circular dichroism spectroscopy to elucidate the structure of the cyclic nonapeptide (1), which was identified as cyclo-(Tyr-Ala-Thr-Leu-Thr-Ala-Phe-Ala-Thr). Anti-renal fibrosis activity evaluation of compounds 1-3 showed that they have potential for anti-renal fibrosis by reducing the expression of fibrotic protein collagen I in NRK-49F cells induced by TGF-β1.

Background: Patients with glaucoma demonstrate significantly elevated prevalence rates of anxiety and depression compared to healthy controls, although these psychiatric comorbidities remain frequently underrecognised in clinical practice. This study evaluated serum neuropeptide Y (NPY) concentrations in patients with primary glaucoma to investigate potential associations with anxiety, depression, and quality of life (QOL).

Methods: The study cohort comprised 45 healthy controls and 89 patients with primary glaucoma, including 55 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) and 34 patients with primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG).

The endometrium is a proliferative tissue controlled by the menstrual cycle. Endometrial hyperplasia (EH) is a type of neoplastic disease that may develop into endometrial hyperplasia with atypia (EHA) or endometrial adenocarcinoma (EA). We performed a multi-omics analysis of a collection of endometrial tissues with four different proliferative statuses from two independent cohorts of patients.

Here, we present a retrospective analysis of a 48-year-old male patient who developed a rare complication of extensive spinal epidural hematoma (SEH) with spinal cord and medullary compression following single-level anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF), manifesting as acute dyspnea, coma, and quadriplegia. The emergency treatment entailed anterior segmental decompression under general anesthesia, removal of internal fixation devices, and targeted catheter irrigation to evacuate the hematoma spanning from C1 to C7. Postoperatively, the patient demonstrated remarkable neurological recovery, with the American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) impairment grade improving from preoperative grade A (complete paralysis) to grade E (normal function), and was discharged after uneventful rehabilitation.

Background: The effect of soluble programmed cell death 1 ligand 1 (sPD-L1) on the prognosis of colorectal cancer (CRC) has been extensively explored; however, the results remain controversial. Therefore, we performed a meta-analysis to determine its exact function in predicting CRC prognosis.

Methods: We retrieved relevant data from the Web of Science, PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases from their inception to February 24, 2025.

The objective of this study was to explore the effects and underlying mechanisms of miR-690 on hepatic steatosis in db/db mice. Our findings revealed that miR-690 was downregulated in the liver of db/db mice and high-glucose (HG)-treated NCTC1469 cells. In vivo, miR-690 overexpression alleviated hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, and hyperinsulinemia, improved liver function, and mitigated steatosis and pathological damage.

Ruthenium-based catalysts are considered efficient and cost-effective potential alkaline electrolysis water catalysts that exhibit both hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) activities. Therefore, it is crucial to develop straightforward and low-energy synthesis methods for ruthenium-based alloy catalysts. In this study, we present a microwave synthesis approach for rapidly fabricating RuCo alloy supported on copper foam.

The analysis of the ozone trend after removing the influence of meteorological factors is extremely important to evaluate the implementation effect of air pollution prevention and control policies. The effects of meteorological factors on near-surface ozone concentrations in four cities (Shihezi, Changji, Wujiaqu, and Urumqi) with serious air pollution in the economic zone of the northern slope of the Tianshan Mountains in the past five years (2018-2022) were investigated using a combination of the KZ filtering method and multiple linear stepwise regression. The results showed that the seasonal component of O-8h contributed the most (≥69.

Optimizing both mass transport and electronic structure of the active component is of interest to obtain electrocatalysts with superior oxygen evolution reaction (OER) performance. Here, we miniaturized the classical NiFe-layered double hydroxides (NiFe-LDHs) and integrated them into S/N co-doped hollow hierarchical porous carbon (SNHPC) loaded with rare earth La single atoms (La SAs) to obtain nanoreactors. The unique carbon framework induced uniform deposition of LDH nanodots and ensured adequate exposure during electrocatalysis.

Background: Although the systemic inflammation response index (SIRI) is often associated with prognostic significance in esophageal cancer (EC) patients, the results continue to be conflicting. We focused on identifying SIRI's precise role in forecasting EC prognosis through performing this meta-analysis.

Methods: This work searched PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane Library, and CNKI till November 16, 2024, and determined pooled hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for evaluating EC prognosis forecasting efficiency of SIRI.

Copper (Cu)-based materials are promising for carbon-carbon bond (C─C) coupling catalysis, but they are limited to poor structural stability, high activation energy, and low selectivity toward C products. Here a customized synthetic protocol is defined for the fabrication of 2D ultrathin high-entropy rare earth (RE) oxides (HE-REOs) with rich lattice distortions and oxygen vacancies, which act as robust supports for anchoring Cu serial domains with tunable oxidation states. The rationally integrated HE-REOs-Cu heterostructures feature largely exposed synergistic multi-site driving rapid *CO spillover, and multiple stabilized Cu chimneys promoting cascade *CO coupling, together with intrinsic electron activation channels enabling RE 4f electron delocalization to lower the energy barrier.

Bicyclol (BIC), a synthetic hepatoprotective agent widely prescribed in China, lacks comprehensive safety and activity profiles for its degradation products (DPs). Here, we systematically investigated BIC's forced degradation behavior using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-QTOF-MS). Three hydrolytic degradation products (DP1-DP3) were isolated via HPLC and structurally characterized, revealing methylenedioxy group hydrolysis as the primary degradation pathway.

This paper presents a low-profile metamaterial with ultra-wide band ratio (BR) based on active frequency selective surfaces (AFSSs) to overcome the limited tuning range and suboptimal profile of current designs. The proposed design consists of a periodic pattern printed on the top of a thin substrate and a bias network on the bottom, with varactor diodes symmetrically integrated into the top metal layer. Based on the equivalent circuit model, the mechanism of wideband tuning is analyzed theoretically.
