Self-powered integrated systems that leverage micro-supercapacitors as power sources for sensors are vital for portable and wearable electronics; however, they often encounter compatibility issues arising from bifunctional active materials that enable high energy storage capacity and sensing performance. Herein, a spatial confinement approach is proposed for designing in situ-encased silver nanoparticles within a 3D porous laser-induced graphene framework (LIG/Ag), which serves as a bifunctional active material for all-in-one supercapacitor-sensor systems. Such engineered LIG/Ag features ample pseudocapacitive active sites, high electrical conductivity, and fast ion diffusion channels, which favor high reaction kinetics and electrode material utilization, significantly improving its electrochemical reactivity.

This study describes a new species of Polyxenida from China, , along with a species newly recorded from China: (Miyosi, 1947), and provides additional descriptions of Ishii & Liang, 1990 and Ishii & Liang, 1990. The study conducted mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) sequencing for all four species and constructed a phylogenetic tree based on the molecular data. The comprehensive morphological descriptions and molecular analyses confirm the addition of one new species and one newly recorded species for the Polyxenida fauna of China, elevating the total number of known Polyxenida species in the country from 10 to 12.

In the present study, the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of the (Lepidoptera: Papilionoidea: Papilionidae) was sequenced by next-generation sequencing method. The mitochondrial genome is a circular DNA molecule of 15,264 bp in size with 80.7% AT content, including 37 genes (13 protein-coding genes, 2 rRNA genes, and 22 tRNA genes), and a long non-coding region (Control region).

Molybdenum sulfide (MoS) is a promising electrode material for supercapacitors; however, its limited Mo/S edge sites and intrinsic inert basal plane give rise to sluggish active electronic states, thus constraining its electrochemical performance. Here we propose a hierarchical confinement strategy to develop ethylene molecule (EG)-intercalated Co-doped sulfur-deficient MoS (Co-EG/S-MoS) for efficient and durable K-ion storage. Theoretical analyses suggest that the intercalation-confined EG and lattice-confined Co can enhance the interfacial K-ion storage capacity while reducing the K-ion diffusion barrier.

Comprehensive microbial analysis has revealed that the lung harbors a complex variety of microbiota, and although the dynamic distribution of the lung microbiota in mice and laying hens of different ages is well established, this distribution has not been clarified in broilers of different ages. Here, we performed 16S rRNA gene sequencing of lung lavage fluid from broilers at 3 (3D), 7 (7D), 14 (14D), 21 (21D), and 35 (35D) days of age to evaluate changes in the composition of their lung microbiota. Upon examination of the composition and function of the broiler lung microbiota, we found that their maturation increased significantly with age.

Our previous study has shown that overload of lipid accumulation results in cell apoptosis and inflammation in grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella). In this study, we investigated the potential protective effects of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) on inhibiting oleic acid (OA)-induced apoptosis and inflammation in grass carp hepatocytes. Firstly, the hepatocyte of grass carp were treated with OA (800 μM) and different concentration (0, 50, 100 and 200 μM) of DHA for 24 h, the apoptotic ratio, gene expression levels of apoptosis such as caspase 3, caspase 8, and caspase 9, protein levels of Caspase3, and mRNA levels of inflammation genes such as nf-kb, tnf-α, and il-8 were detected.

To investigate the protein-sparing effect of α-lipoic acid (LA), experimental fish (initial body weight: 18·99 (sd 1·82) g) were fed on a 0, 600 or 1200 mg/kg α-LA diet for 56 d, and hepatocytes were treated with 20 μm compound C, the inhibitor of AMP kinase α (AMPKα), treated for 30 min before α-LA treatment for 24 h. LA significantly decreased lipid content of the whole body and other tissues (P0·05). Consistent with results from the experiment in vitro, LA activated phosphorylation of AMPKα and notably increased the protein content of adipose TAG lipase in intraperitoneal fat, hepatopancreas and muscle in vivo (P<0·05).
