Introduction: Lead is a naturally occurring metal with highly toxic effects on humans, particularly children, who are particularly vulnerable to its long-lasting adverse impacts.
Patient Concerns: This report presents the case of a 10-year-old boy with a 10-month history of recurrent vomiting. No organic lesions were identified.
is a traditional medicinal plant in China, containing rich and medically valuable extracts. In recent years, the widespread development and application of its extracts have threatened the wild population of . In order to protect the population of , this research employed the Maxent model to examine the influence of climate change on the geographical distribution of and to forecast its potential suitable distribution in China in light of climate change scenarios.

This study aims to apply different deep learning convolutional neural network algorithms to assess the grading of cervical spinal stenosis and to evaluate their consistency with clinician grading results as well as clinical manifestations of patients. We retrospectively enrolled 954 patients with cervical spine magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data and medical records from the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Sun-Yat Sen University. The Kang grading method for sagittal MR images of the cervical spine and the spinal cord compression ratio for horizontal MR images of the cervical spine were adopted for cervical spinal canal stenosis grading.

In recent years, with the rapid rise in electric vehicles and renewable energy storage solutions, decommissioning spent lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) has become an increasingly pressing issue. The volatile organic compounds (VOCs) generated during the recycling of LIBs caused environmental pollution and health hazards. This work investigated the emission characteristics of VOCs from two typical spent LIB recycling plants.

Objective: To summarize the clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment of Trichuris trichiura infection in children to increase the awareness of this disease among clinical physicians.
Methods: The clinical data of 2 children infected with T trichiura were retrospectively analyzed, and the literature on T trichiura infection in Chinese children was reviewed.
Results: Two patients were admitted to the hospital because of "recurrent blood in the stool for more than 9 months," "a minimum hemoglobin level of 46 g/L" and "anal warts for more than 1 year.
Background: Palmar-divergent dislocation of the lunate and scaphoid is a rare high-energy trauma with complex injured mechanism. Early diagnosis and surgery are necessary, however, there is no consensus on surgical treatment, as only a few literatures have been reported.
Case Summary: A 56-year-old man, following a powerful strike to the dorsal side of left wrist and forearm, complained about swelling, tenderness, and limited motion of the left wrist during the physical examination.
In order to gain a more accurate understanding and enhance the relationship between the fitness ecological environment and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven sports public services, this study combines a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) approach based on residual modules and attention mechanisms with the SERVQUAL evaluation model. The method employed involves the analysis of big data collected from questionnaire surveys, literature reviews, and interviews. This study critically examines the impact of advanced AI technologies on residents' satisfaction with the fitness ecological environment in sports public services and conducts theoretical analysis of the obtained data.

Ultimately, 11 key environmental variables were identified as critical for assessing the habitat suitability of the medicinal plant.

We used The Cancer Genome Atlas datasets and RNA-seq data from nine sets of paired HCC and adjacent normal tissues to identify key migrasome-related genes through a comprehensive analysis and weighted correlation network analysis. We then confirmed their roles in HCC through analyses of gene mutations, methylation, and immune cell infiltration, as well as molecular docking, molecular dynamics, and cell experiments.

Enzymatic conversion of blood group antigens to the universal O type presents a promising strategy to overcome barriers in ABO-incompatible kidney transplantation. In this study, we employ α-galactosidase from Bacteroides fragilis to convert type B kidneys to type O during hypothermic machine perfusion.

However, it is challenging to enable reversible Na batteries at lower temperatures. Herein, we uncover that the low ionic conductivity of WSE reduces reaction kinetics at -60 °C.

Background: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common gastrointestinal disease. Recently, an increasing number of studies have shown that Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), widely distributed on the surface of a variety of epithelial cells (ECs) and immune sentinel cells in the gut, plays a vital role in developing IBS.
Objectives: We sought to synthesize the existing literature on TLR4 in IBS and inform further study.
Application of pear twig derived biochar and nitrogen fertilizer is strategic for addressing the challenges posed by copper pollution in soils. Their combined use aims to improve plant health and promote sustainable agricultural practices, which leads to better potato growth and quality. Therefore, this study was carried out to investigate the effects of different levels of pear twig biochar (B:0, B:3, B:5, B:7% w/w) combined with nitrogen fertilizer (N:0, N:150, N:200, N:250, N:300 mg kg) on morpho-physiological growth and copper uptake of potato cultivated in Cu polluted soil.

As global warming increases with the frequency of extreme weather, the distribution of species is inevitably affected. Among them, highly damaging invasive species are of particular concern. Being able to effectively predict the geographic distribution of invasive species and future distribution trends is a key entry point for their control.

Objective: To analyze the relationship between serum cystatin C (CysC), β-microglobulin (β-MG) and the efficacy of demethylation therapy in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted on 98 AML patients admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University from February 2019 to January 2022. All patients were treated with decitabine (DAC) + HAG regimen, 28 days as a course and treated for 3-4 courses.
Background And Aim: Bismuth and non-bismuth quadruple therapy are the guideline-recommended first-line therapy in children with Helicobacter pylori infection in areas with high antibiotic resistance. However, their efficacy in children is uncertain and there are few well-designed studies. Here, we evaluated the eradication rates of standard triple therapy, bismuth-based quadruple therapy and sequential therapy in children with H.

Salvianolic acid B (SaB) is recently expected to be used in the treatment of fibrosis diseases including FS. We firstly demonstrate that SaB can effectively hinder the progression of oxidative stress, inflammation, and pathological fibrosis within the synovial tissue in FS, potentially leading to the reduction or reversal of capsule fibrosis and joint stiffness.

Limited by the heat load of cabling and the massive cost of electronics, such an architecture is not viable for millions of qubits required for fault-tolerant quantum computing. Monolithic integration of the control electronics and the qubits provides a promising solution, which, however, requires a coherent cryogenic microwave pulse generator that is compatible with superconducting quantum circuits.
