Wearable sweat sensors offer noninvasive health monitoring through multiplexed biomarker analysis, delivering real-time diagnostics with continuous operational capability. However, chronic cutaneous interface hydration during prolonged monitoring induces adhesive delamination phenomena that manifest as signal attenuation, which fundamentally limits their clinical reliability. To address this challenge, we developed a thermodynamically adaptive polymer interface combining three functional components: mussel-inspired catechol moieties for moisture-tolerant adhesion, hydrophobic acrylates ensuring mechanical stability, and N-isopropylacrylamide enabling thermal responsiveness.

Background: The phenomenon of increased toughness of adductor muscle of Pacific oysters (Crassostrea gigas) during heat treatment considerably impacts their palatability. Thus, the present study was conducted aiming to investigate the relationship between the adductor muscle proteins and observed toughness.
Results: During heat treatment with boiling, the smooth muscle exhibited greater difficulty in detaching from the shell compared to the striated muscle, indicating more pronounced toughness.
Continuous cropping obstacles are a significant challenge to sustainable agricultural development, with the accumulation of phenolic allelopathic substances being one of the main causes of these obstacles. In this study, different modified biochars (10P-BC, 30P-BC, and 50P-BC) were prepared by modifying distiller's grains biochars with different proportions of HPO (1:9, 3:7, and 1:1), and their ability to remove representative phenolic allelochemicals (p-hydroxybenzoic acid (p-HBA), vanillin (Van), and coumarin (Cou)) was investigated. The physicochemical properties were determined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and Raman spectroscopy.

In the absence of an external magnetic field, the linear Nernst effect is forbidden in non-magnetic materials because of time-reversal symmetry constraints, but the recently predicted nonlinear Nernst effect (NNE) is allowed. Here we report the experimental observation of the NNE in non-magnetic ABA trilayer graphene, even in the absence of an external magnetic field.

In situ radiotherapy is the most successful cytotoxic therapy available for the treatment of solid tumors, while high-dose radiotherapy per fraction is not yet widely and reliably used. To some extent, the major considerations of the disappointing results are on the risk of high-dose irradiation-induced damage to the surrounding normal tissues and the difficulty in distant metastasis control. To break these restraints, a gelatinase-responsive amphiphilic methoxypolyethyleneglycol-PVGLIG-polycaprolactone (mPEG-PVGLIG-PCL) nanoparticles' loading verteporfin (N@VP), a special photosensitizer that can also be excited by X-rays to produce cytotoxic singlet oxygen and greatly enhance radiotherapy efficacy, is prepared in this study.

This study investigates the combined effects of tribenuron-methyl and urea on soil bacterial communities, greenhouse gases emissions, and carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) cycle-related functions. High-throughput sequencing revealed significant impacts on bacterial diversity and composition, with responses varying across different concentrations, sampling times, and the presence of urea. Tribenuron-methyl inhibited bacterial diversity at early sampling times but increased diversity after 60 days in the highest treatment.

This study addresses the clinical need to stratify patients based on GGO and MIP status to optimize prognosis prediction and follow-up strategies.
Methods: A multicenter retrospective study was conducted on 411 patients with pathological stage IA3 LUAD, enrolled between July 2012 and July 2020.
Background: While severe postoperative complications (SPCs) impact cancer prognosis, their effect on locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) patients with varying immunonutritional statuses after minimally invasive esophagectomy (MIE) is unclear.
Methods: This retrospective study analyzed 442 patients with locally advanced ESCC who underwent MIE, investigating the relationship between SPCs and survival based on preoperative immunonutritional status, determined by the prognostic nutritional index (PNI). Nomograms were developed for patients with preserved immunonutritional status using Cox regression, and their performance was assessed.
Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and Chitooligosaccharide (COS) can increase the resistance of plants to disease. COS can also promote the symbiosis between AMF and plants. However, the effects of AMF & COS combined application on the rhizosphere soil microbial community of tobacco and the improvement of tobacco's resistance to black shank disease are poorly understood.

Recently, charge or spin nonlinear transport with nontrivial topological properties in crystal materials has attracted much attention. In this paper, we perform a comprehensive symmetry analysis for all 122 magnetic point groups (MPGs) and provide a useful dictionary for charge and spin nonlinear transport from the Berry curvature dipole, Berry connection polarizability and Drude term with nontrivial topological nature. The results are obtained by conducting a full symmetry investigation of the matrix representations of six nonlinear response tensors.

Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy is a transformative treatment against advanced malignancies. Unfortunately, once administrated in vivo, CAR-T cells become out of artificial control, and fierce response to CAR-T therapy may cause severe adverse events, represented by cytokine-release syndrome and on-target/off-tumor effects. Here, a nanomodified switch strategy is developed, leading to sustained and precise "on-tumor only" activation of CAR-T cells.
