Somatic embryogenesis receptor kinases (SERKs) are pivotal regulators of plant development and stress adaptation, known to integrate multiple signaling pathways, including brassinosteroid (BR)-mediated responses to coordinately modulate stress-related gene expression. While SERKs participate in biotic/abiotic stress regulation, their roles in heavy metal (HM) stress responses and BR-mediated transcriptional control under HM exposure remain unexplored. Therefore, we systematically identified 20 BraSERK genes in Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa subsp.

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have achieved parity in efficiency with silicon-based solar cells. This dependency introduces stability challenges and complicates device fabrication due to the traditional air-oxidation doping process, which is time-consuming, unpredictable, and requires continuous monitoring of device variability. Here, we propose two triphenyl sulfonium (TPS) salts as UV-light-triggered radical-generating dopants for 2,2',7,7'-tetrakis [N,N-di(4-methoxyphenyl) amino]-9,9'-spirobifluorene(spiro-OMeTAD).

Methods: Two multichannel head coils were constructed for first- and second-generation 3T Connectome MRI scanners, incorporating 64 and 72 receive channels, respectively. The array coils were evaluated using RF bench-level metrics, including quality factor, tuning, matching, and coupling measurements.
The development of high-voltage solid-state lithium-metal batteries (HVSSLMBs) is severely limited by unstable ion transport, insufficient oxidative stability, and poor electrode-electrolyte interface (EEI) compatibility of conventional solid electrolytes. Herein, we report a topologically entangled polymer electrolyte featuring ionophilic-protonation dual side chains. The ionophilic functional groups on these side chains provide abundant coordination sites, significantly enhancing Li transport, whereas exposed carboxyl (─COOH) groups induce protonation on the cathode surface, effectively suppressing transition metal (TM) ion migration.

This study examines how social capital, social support, community sense, and social desirability interact to influence negative emotions.
Methods: A cross-sectional survey of 904 older adult individuals in Liaoning, China, utilized standardized scales: GDS-10 (negative emotions), SSRS (social support), BSCS (community sense), and MCSDS (social desirability).
Mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles (MSC-EVs), especially, exosomes are considered to have diverse therapeutic effects for various significant diseases. MSC-derived exosomes (MSCex) offer substantial advantages over MSCs due to their long-term preservation, stability, absence of nuclei and fewer adverse effects such as infusion toxicity, thereby paving the way towards regenerative medicine and cell-free therapeutics. These exosomes harbor several cellular contents such as DNA, RNA, lipids, metabolites, and proteins, facilitating drug delivery and intercellular communication.

Emerging research suggests that alterations in gut microbiota composition may play a significant role in the pathogenesis of ulcerative colitis (UC). Plasma metabolites, which are influenced by gut microbiota, have also been implicated, but their role in UC remains unclear. This study aims to determine whether specific plasma metabolites mediate the causal relationship between gut microbiota and UC using Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis.

This study explores the phase transition phenomenon in vanadium dioxide (VO), focusing on the heterogeneous phases evolved after low-pressure plasma irradiation on VO thin films, a strong electron-correlated material. The modulation in the Argon (Ar) plasma power reveals the formation of homogeneous and heterogeneous phases with variable resistive states at room temperature.

However, the function of the self-antigens presented by CNS parenchymal cells remains unclear. Here, we report that the fidelity of neuroglial self-antigens is crucial to suppress encephalitogenic T cell responses by elevating regulatory T (Treg) cell populations.

Herein, rosmarinic acid (RosA), a natural product with antibacterial/immunoregulatory activities, was utilized to develop a FCR IH through forming phenylboronic acid ester bonds with 4-formylphenyl phenylboronic acid (4-FPBA) grafted chitosan (CS) (FC). After being applied to the IBD site, the FCR IH was then injected with tobramycin (Tob) solution, another alkaline antibacterial drug, to induce in situ crystallization of the FC, endowing the resultant FCRT hydrogel with adaptively enhanced mechanical strength and structural stability.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a persistent and complex condition accomplished by inflammation of the gastrointestinal system, encompassing Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC). This condition is caused by the combination of genetic predispositions, environmental triggers, and dysregulated immunological responses, which complicates diagnosis and treatment. The latest developments in gastroenterology have revealed the critical significance of the gut microbiota in the pathogenesis of IBD.

In this work, cobalt (II) 5,10,15,20-Tetrakis (4-carboxylpheyl)porphyrin (CoTCPP) self-assembled nanoaggregates are firstly used as soft templates to prepare TiO-based nanozymes with the enhanced peroxidase-like activity. Interestingly, CoTCPP nanoaggregates can be changed into Co oxide nanoparticles dispersed into the nanosphere composites.

In recent years, enterprises have increasingly recognized the pivotal role of external users in driving product innovation. Open innovation platforms (OIPs), which facilitate interactions between companies and external innovators, have emerged as critical conduits in this regard. However, OIP managers face the challenge of motivating innovators to sustain their contributions.

Previous traditional experimental methods are very labor-intensive and traditional machine learning methods also seem to be somewhat insufficient as the database of 6mA methylation groups becomes progressively larger, so we propose a deep learning-based method called multi-scale convolutional model based on global response normalization (CG6mA) to solve the prediction problem of 6mA site. This method is tested with other methods on three different kinds of benchmark datasets, and the results show that our model can get more excellent prediction results.

Brain functional network (BFN) analysis has become a popular method for identifying neurological diseases at their early stages and revealing sensitive biomarkers related to these diseases. Due to the fact that BFN is a graph with complex structure, graph convolutional networks (GCNs) can be naturally used in the identification of BFN, and can generally achieve an encouraging performance if given large amounts of training data. In practice, however, it is very difficult to obtain sufficient brain functional data, especially from subjects with brain disorders.
