Coaxial thermocouples (CTs), with their unique self-eroding characteristic, are particularly well suited for use in such extreme environments. However, fabricating high-temperature electrical insulation layers for coaxial thermocouples remains challenging.

The synergistic effect of ZnO-induced heterogeneous nucleation and thermal processing significantly enhanced the crystallinity of the NFM (up to 49.71 %), improving its anti-swelling behavior and liquid absorption capacity-with an absorption rate of up to 1906 % for artificial blood.

Existing Janus fog harvesting technologies struggle to achieve efficient and continuous fog collection across various fog flow directions. In this work, we developed a Janus fog harvesting (JHL) system, characterized by a boundary-free Janus system formed by selective modification with octadecanethiol, creating a pair of hydrophilic and hydrophobic domains. The system features a 3D origami macrostructure composed of scallop arrays and shaped like an improved trumpet flower.

This inherent ability to measure continuous self-erosion ensures the operational reliability of the coaxial thermocouples in high-temperature ablative environments. However, the fabrication of a high-temperature electrical insulation layer and a high-adhesion insulating layer in the coaxial thermocouples remains a challenge.

Traditional iterative reconstruction methods rely on prior information to empirically construct regularization terms, a process that is not trivial. While deep learning-based supervised reconstruction has made significant progress in improving image quality, it requires large-scale training data, which is difficult to obtain in medical imaging.

Objective: We characterized the spatial-temporal trends of obesity among Chinese children and adolescents from 1985 to 2019 and examined the impact of social determinants of health (SDOH) patterns.
Methods: Using data from the Chinese National Survey on Students' Constitution and Health (CNSSCH) conducted between 1985 and 2019, featuring seven cross-sectional surveys, we employed spatial-temporal analysis methods and collected 23 obesity-related variables to identify SDOH patterns. A general linear regression model investigated associations between SDOH patterns and obesity prevalence.

To develop an accurate myocardialmapping technique at 5T using Look-Locker-based multiple inversion-recovery with the real-time spoiled gradient echo (GRE) acquisition. The proposedmapping technique (mIR-rt) samples the recovery of inverted magnetization using the real-time GRE and the images captured during diastole are selected forfitting. Multiple-inversion recoveries are employed to increase the sample size for accurate fitting.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of saltwater stir-fried Plantaginis Semen(SPS) on renal fibrosis in rats and decipher the underlying mechanism. Thirty-six Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned into control, model, losartan potassium, and low-, medium-, and high-dose(15, 30, and 60 g·kg~(-1), respectively) SPS groups. Rats in other groups except the control group were subjected to unilateral ureteral obstruction(UUO) to induce renal fibrosis, and the modeling and gavage lasted for 14 days.

This study aimed to characterize trends in physical fitness and the prevalence of overweight/obesity (OWOB), elevated blood pressure (EBP), and their comorbidity among Chinese college students from 2000 to 2019 and to analyze the changes in their associations and subgroup differences.
Methods: Data were extracted from five cycles of the Chinese National Survey on Students' Constitution and Health (2000-2019), including 241,710 college students aged 19-22.

Background: Allergic asthma is an inflammatory disease of the airways that causes great distress to the patient's normal life. Astragalus Polysaccharide (APS) is the main active ingredient in the traditional Chinese medicine Astragalus mongholicus Bunge, which has the effect of regulating immune function.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of APS on allergic asthma and investigate its potential mechanism of action.
Background: Currently there is no widely used upfront selection method to determine whether patients are suitable for deep inspiration breath-hold (DIBH) in left-sided breast radiotherapy.
Purpose: To establish an upfront patient selection strategy to improve the decision-making efficiency of DIBH and avoid extra computed tomography (CT) exposure to patients.
Methods: A total of 174 patients who underwent both free-breathing (FB) and DIBH scans were enrolled.
Inspired by the natural structures of cacti and desert beetles, a novel three-dimensional (3D) high-efficiency fog collector is proposed. This design integrates a unique macro-structural configuration with a surface wettability gradient that remains independent of the fog flow direction. The fog collector adopts an integral spiral structure, with superhydrophilic triangular protrusions uniformly distributed across its surface.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAtopic dermatitis (ad) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease, with recent studies indicating that immune cells, such as monocytes and inflammatory cytokines, play a crucial role. By retrieving datasets from public databases and analysing immune cell infiltration in lesional skin using CIBERSORT, we found that monocytes and M2 macrophages were significantly upregulated in atopic dermatitis. Differentially expressed gene (DEG) functional enrichment analysis revealed that cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction was the most significantly enriched pathway.

Fresh trays could not provide efficient protection and detection to the fresh foods during the transportation and sale processes due to its less functions. To address these challenges, one type of multifunctional fresh tray with antibacterial and detection properties was fabricated by the combining of two types of functionalized polylactic acid (PLA) aerogels, PLA/carvacrol (PLA/CA) aerogel and PLA-red cabbage anthocyanin (PLA-RCA) aerogel. The PLA/CA aerogel prepared by in situ encapsulation strategy exhibits a strong antioxidant effect with the free radical clearance rate of 69.
