Background: Anxiety disorders (ADs) and depressive disorders (DDs) are prevalent among older adults with non-communicable diseases (NCDs), yet nationally representative epidemiological data from China remain limited. This study, as a part of the 2013-2015 China Mental Health Survey (CMHS), aimed to assess the prevalence of ADs and DDs and identify associated factors among older adults with NCDs in China.
Method: A total of 5,428 patients aged 60 years and above with reported NCDs were selected from the CMHS.
Background: Mental disorders among the elderly are a growing public health concern contributing significantly to disease burden, disability, and mortality. However, there is a lack of nationally representative studies examining the prevalence and correlates of mental disorders among older adults in community settings. Considering 55 years old is the beginning of "young old", our study targets the population of adults aged 55 years old and above.

Methods: Data were derived from the Chinese Mental Health Survey. Weighted prevalence rates of various anxiety disorders were calculated.
Introduction: Postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMO) is a chronic disease in the elderly women, which has been shown to be related to the gut microbiota (GM) alternation in recent studies. Few studies have investigated which specific bacterial species and metabolites have an impact on postmenopausal osteoporosis patients, especially in urban communities.
Methods: With the aim of comprehending GM features and metabolite variation in women suffering from PMO in the Beijing Community of China, we divided the 76 eligible participants into osteoporosis (OP) and health control (HC) groups taking into account the bone mineral density (BMD), and adopted 16 S rRNA gene sequencing and metagenomic sequencing to examine the GM compositions in the respective groups.
Background And Objectives: Due to early misdiagnosis, bipolar patients who had a depressive episode as their initial onset often received systematic antidepressant treatments and continued to suffer from sleep disturbances and elevated impulsivity, even during euthymic state. The study aims to assess the effect of systematic antidepressant treatments in the early stages on sleep and impulsivity in bipolar euthymic patients, and further explore the potential mediating role of sleep in the relationship between early antidepressant uses and impulsivity.
Methods: A total of 124 bipolar euthymic patients were enrolled.

Objectives: Accurate assessment of sleep quality is crucial for understanding sleep problems and their impact on health. This study analyzed the agreement between subjective sleep assessments and objective sleep monitoring in adolescents with mood disorders, aiming to provide a reliable methodological foundation for related research.
Methods: Adolescents with mood disorders were recruited from psychiatric outpatient clinics of three domestic hospitals.
Impurity substitution is effective for studying the intrinsic properties of a quantum material. When the target element has multiple Wyckoff positions, it is challenging but essential to know the exact position and occupancy order of the impurity atoms. Via comprehensive experimental and theoretical investigations, we establish the Ni substitution road map in van der Waals ferromagnet FeGaTe.

Backgrounds: Tacrolimus is a cornerstone of posttransplantation immunosuppressive regimens. Despite routine monitoring, the efficacy of its trough concentrations in reflecting drug concentration fluctuations is limited. Intrapatient variability (IPV) emerges as a novel monitoring marker for predicting clinical outcomes.

The study aimed to investigate if psoas major parameters are independent risk factors of early postoperative complication among elderly patients.
Methods: Patients who underwent multilevel lumbar fusion for degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis (DLSS) were included.

Objective: To analyze the clinicopathological features, prognostic value and surgical treatment experience in patients with adrenocortical carcinoma with venous tumor thrombus.
Methods: We collected relevant data of the patients with adrenocortical carcinoma who had undergone surgery in Peking University Third Hospital from 2018 to 2023. The patients were divided into venous tumor thrombus group and non-tumor thrombus group.
The rare-earth telluride compound EuTe exhibits a charge density wave (CDW) and an unconventional thermal hysteresis transition. Herein, we report a comprehensive study of the CDW states in EuTe by using low-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy. Two types of charge orders are observed at 4 K, including a newly discovered spindle-shaped pattern and a typical stripe-like pattern.

Methods: Patients who underwent lumbar surgery for DLSS and had a minimum of 1-year follow-up were included. The MCID achievement threshold for the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) was set at 12.

Background: The factors affecting lumbar spinal function in patients with degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis (DLSS) are still unclear.
Objective: This study explored psoas major muscle morphology in patients with DLSS and its association with their functional status.
Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 288 patients with DLSS and 260 control subjects.
Background: Associations between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and common psychiatric disorders among older Chinese individuals have not been well reported. The objectives of this study are to examine the prevalence of ACEs and the associations of ACEs with common psychiatric disorders among older adults in China.
Methods: The study used data from the China Mental Health Survey (CMHS), a nationally representative epidemiological survey, which used computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI), logistic regression models were used to examine community-based adult psychiatric disorders and associated risk factors.

Prostate cancer is one of the most common malignancies in men, which has been considered a public health threat. KIF15 is a kind of driver protein, and its abnormal expression is closely related to the occurrence and development of malignant tumors. The purpose of the study was to explore the significance and role of KIF15 in prostate cancer and to show some potential value for prostate cancer.

Objective: Surgery for placenta accreta spectrum disorders is known to be associated with urologic morbidity. Although previous studies have shown preoperative ureteral stent placement might be useful for preventing the urologic morbidity, the patient's discomfort caused by it should not be ignored. Whether there is an alternative management strategy remains unknown.
