Revealing the relationship between carbon metabolism and carbon balance in human-nature coupled systems is vital for achieving China's "dual carbon" goals. With land use types as metabolic entities, we constructed a carbon metabolism spatial network model by measuring vertical carbon emission, carbon absorption, and horizontal carbon flow, and systematically explored the carbon metabolism evolution of the Hubei section of the Three Gorges Reservoir from 1995 to 2020. We further assessed ecological relationship, integral utility, and node contributions of the carbon metabolism spatial network by the ecological network analysis method, and comprehensively evaluated the impact of land use on regional carbon metabolism.

Materials And Methods: This study enrolled 1,619 HPV-positive female patients who visited the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from December 2023 to March 2025, with 989 patients ultimately meeting the inclusion criteria. All subjects underwent HPV-DNA testing, cytological examination, colposcopy, and gene methylation detection, with results analyzed in conjunction with histopathological evaluations.
PHD finger protein 19 (PHF19) is an epigenetic regulator known to be associated with the prognosis of patients in various tumours, while its impact on the prognosis of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) remains unexplored. This study aimed to investigate the expression and prognostic significance of PHF19 in DLBCL. PHF19 expression was assessed in 192 DLBCL cases using immunohistochemistry.

Objectives: To evaluate the application value of genetic newborn screening (gNBS) in the Yunnan region.
Methods: A prospective study was conducted with a random selection of 3 001 newborns born in the Yunnan region from February to December 2021. Traditional newborn screening (tNBS) was used to test biochemical indicators, and targeted next-generation sequencing was employed to screen 159 genes related to 156 diseases.
The polarization states of the photons will be changed when distributing polarization-entangled photon pairs through their independent optical channels, whether satellite-based free-space or fiber-based links. Thus, it is essential to reconstruct the initial polarization-entangled state between their receiving ends. Here, we present an efficient compensation method based on coincidence measurements of entangled photons to restore the entanglement state.

Polymerase chain reaction was used to detect polymorphism and methylation; Mantel-Haenszel and Spearman's rank correlation tests were used to analyze the trends and correlations. Forty cases each of normal control (NC), CIN I, and CIN II/III and 9 squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) cases were enrolled.

Analysis of 56 MET-F-positive tumors from an institutional cohort of 91,119 patients (79,864 DNA sequencing plus 11,255 RNA sequencing) uncovered two forms of MET-F pathobiology. The first group featured 5' partners with homodimerization domains fused in-frame with the MET tyrosine kinase domain, primarily originated from translocations, frequently excluded MET exon 14, mediated oncogenesis through cytoplasmic aggregation and constitutive activation, and were markedly sensitive to MET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI) in preclinical models and patients with lung cancer.

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of integrating postpartum contraceptive interventions into the existing maternal and child health care (MCH) system.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This cluster randomized trial randomly allocated 13 communities in Minhang District in Shanghai, China, to the intervention or the control group.
Three kinds of metal-organic frameworks possessing analogous structures were prepared by regulating the structure units of organic linkers. MOF/nickel foam electrocatalysts were formed by in situ hydrothermal growth of MOFs on a clean supported substrate nickel foam (NF), and the corresponding composites were prepared. We phosphatated them and obtained the heterojunction catalyst.

Understanding the responses of ecosystem service trade-offs and synergies in metropolitan areas to the multidimensional expansion of urban space is of great significance for the optimization of regional land spatial pattern and high-quality development. With the Guangfo Metropolitan Area as research region, we used land use data and natural ecological environment data from 2000 to 2020 to measure the expansion characteristics of urban space in the dimensions of scale, distribution, and morphology by using the landscape pattern indices. We further calculated four main ecosystem services: urban cooling, habitat quality, recreation, and water conservation by the InVEST model, quantified the trade-off and synergistic relationship of multiple ecosystem services by the coupling coordination degree model, and explored its response to multidimensional urban spatial expansion by using the multi-scale geographically weighted regression model.

It aids in degrading harmful erroneous mRNA, thereby preserving a stable and healthy internal environment. In this study, we employed CRISPR/Cas9 and amiRNA technology to generate knock out or knock down mutants of realted genes in the rice NMD pathway.

The doping system was found to exhibit good stability. The introduction of B atom transformed the originally indirect band gap of arsenene into a direct band gap.

However, the precise mechanisms underlying injury after stroke and effective treatment strategies require further investigation. Peroxiredoxin-1 (PRDX1) triggers an extensive inflammatory cascade that plays a pivotal role in the pathology of ischemic stroke, resulting in severe brain damage from activated microglia.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAcute lung injury (ALI) is a common clinical syndrome, which often results in pulmonary edema and respiratory distress. It has been recently reported that phosphatidylethanolamine binding protein 4 (PEBP4), a basic cytoplasmic protein, has anti-inflammatory and hepatoprotective effects, but its relationship with ALI remains undefined so far. In this study, we generated PEBP4 knockout (KO) mice to investigate the potential function of PEBP4, as well as to evaluate the capacity of alveolar fluid clearance (AFC) and the activity of phosphatidylinositide 3-kinases (PI3K)/serine-theronine protein kinase B (PKB, also known as AKT) signaling pathway in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced ALI mice models.

The World Health Organization has updated their classification system for the diagnosis of gliomas, combining histological features with molecular data including isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 and codeletion of chromosomal arms 1p and 19q. 1p/19q codeletion analysis is commonly performed by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). In this study, we developed a 57-gene targeted next-generation sequencing (NGS) panel including 1p/19q codeletion detection mainly to assess diagnosis and potential treatment response in melanoma, gastrointestinal stromal tumor, and glioma patients.

The CCL17/CCR4 axis is involved in the immune mechanism of allergic diseases, but its role in the CDRs has not been determined. Here, we aimed to determine the role of the CCL17/CCR4 axis and the underlying mechanism involved in CDRs.
