The growing demand for food has led to overuse of land, exacerbating the environmental sustainability of agrifood systems. Insufficient coordination and coupling within agrifood systems (soil-crop-animal-food consumption) reduce material cycle efficiency and limit the system's carbon reduction potential. Given the lack of global research on the impact of system coupling on carbon reduction, the value of regional practice cases is particularly evident.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the utility of P300 event-related potentials (ERPs) as neurophysiological biomarkers for diagnosing attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and to establish preliminary diagnostic thresholds for their use.
Methods: A total of 106 children diagnosed with ADHD and 66 healthy controls were enrolled. Using a visual Oddball paradigm, P300 parameters were recorded at Fz, Cz, and Pz zones.
Although transformation products are important parts of chemical contaminants in the environment, their occurrence and risks remain largely unclear. In this study, MS-initiated nontarget analysis and MS-initiated suspect screening analysis strategy were performed to identify transformation products. The integration of these two approaches provided a complementary strategy to broaden transformation product identification, by covering diverse structural modifications during transformation processes and fragmentation behaviors in mass spectrometry.

The data sources utilized were PubMed, Scopus, SPORTDiscus, and Web of Science. Eligibility included basketball players of any age or sex, competing in tier 2 or higher, exposed to at least two different formats.

The causes of NH-SCR catalyst deactivation are the deposition of ammonium sulfates on the active sites and the formation of metal sulfates due to reactions between SO and the active metal oxide. Herein, a HO-assisted redox precipitation method has been employed to tailor MnCe-based catalysts by enlarging their pore size and enhancing their oxidation ability, thereby respectively increasing sulfate decomposition rates and reducing metal sulfate formation.

Dingzhen pill (DZP), a water extract from crude herbs, is thought to possibly play a neuroprotective role in PD. However, the underlying pharmacological mechanisms of the DZP and its impact on the potential pathways against PD have not been elucidated.

Indoxyl sulfate (IS), one of the active products of indole metabolism, still has an unknown role in ASD progression. This study investigates the role of IS/Aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR)/iNOS pathway in microglial activation in the prefrontal cortex (PFC) of ASD-like rats.

Objective: We investigated vitamin D (VitD) nutritional status in children aged 2-6 years to provide a basis for prevention and intervention strategies for VitD deficiency (VitDD) in Chinese children.
Design: From November 2018 to September 2019, a total of 2192 healthy children aged 2-6 years were enrolled. The serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) concentrations were measured by liquid chromatography tandem MS.

Background: Social jet lag (SJL) is a form of circadian rhythm misalignment caused by the mismatch between social schedules and biological clocks, which is associated with cognition, behavior, and emotion in children. However, social jet lag among children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and its impacts are unknown.
Methods: This cross-sectional study recruited 2-7-year-old children with ASD from special education institutions and outpatient clinics.
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) involves a complex neurodevelopmental pathogenesis. A disintegrin and metalloproteinase 10 (ADAM10) plays a crucial role in embryonic brain development and neural network stability. This study aimed to investigate the influence of ADAM10 on excitation/inhibition (E/I) balance, autism-like behaviors, and learning and memory dysfunction in rats prenatally exposed to valproic acid (VPA) and determine potential intervention strategies.

Our previous study indicated that hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha (HIF-1α) plays a role in hypoxia-caused autism-like behavior. In this study, we investigated the mechanism by which HIF-1α contributes to prenatal hypoxia-induced autism-like behavior in vivo to provide an experimental basis for the treatment of ASD.

Despite the economic importance of macadamia, the molecular mechanisms regulating flower coloration remain understudied. This study employed a combination of metabolomic and biochemical approaches to analyze metabolites present in inflorescences from 11 Macadamia cultivars, representing distinct color phenotypes.

Exploring the mechanism of MDR is highly important for identifying biomarkers for MDR and developing new treatment strategies. In this study, integrative analyses of multiomics and bioinformatics data were combined with experimental validation to explore the mechanism of MDR in GC.

Background: High serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine [5-HT]) blood levels are the most reliable and frequently replicated biomarker for autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). However, their differential influence on core ASD symptoms in males and females remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the changes in 5-HT levels in children with ASD to assess and compare its influence on the core symptoms and neurodevelopment of boys and girls.

The elution behaviors of the diamines are almost identical to that of the diethyl amino group, while dibutyl amino group provided significantly different elution behaviors.

However, the regulatory role of lncRNAs in TBI-induced ferroptosis remains poorly understood. This study aims to investigate the role of a specific lncRNA, noncoding transcript of chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 4 (Ccl4) overlapping (Ntoco), in the regulation of ferroptosis following TBI and explore its potential as a therapeutic target.
