The determination of nitrogen-vacancy centers plays an important role in quantum information sensing. Efficiently and rapidly determining the orientation of multiple nitrogen-vacancy center s in a low-concentration diamond is challenging due to its size. Here, we solve this scientific problem by using an azimuthally polarized beam array as the incident beam.

Background: In terms of embryonic origin, vascular ring is a congenital anomaly in which the aortic arch and its branches completely or incompletely encircle and compress the trachea or esophagus. Early and accurate diagnosis of a vascular ring is the key to treatment. Prenatal diagnosis mainly relies on fetal echocardiography, but the rate of missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis is still very high, and the prognosis has not been evaluated.

However, microchip-enhanced light-sheet microscopy is limited by noticeable aberrations induced by the complex refractive indices in the chip. Herein, we report a droplet microchip that is specifically engineered to be capable of large-scale culture of 3D spheroids (over 600 samples per chip) and has a polymer index matched to water (difference <1%).

Objective: Photodynamic therapy (PDT) may be an effective therapeutic strategy for colorectal cancer at an early stage. However, malignant cells' resistance to photodynamic agents can lead to treatment failure. MYBL2 (B-Myb) is an oncogene in colorectal carcinogenesis and development, for which little research has focused on its effect on drug resistance.

Objective: To investigate the predictive value of three-dimensional ultrasound assessment of endometrial receptivity in PGD/PGS transplantation patients on pregnancy outcome.
Methods: 280 patients undergoing PGD/PGS transplantation were enrolled and divided into group A and group B according to the patients' pregnancy outcomes. The general conditions, endometrial receptivity indexes of the two groups were compared.

Objective: To explore and analyze the diagnostic value of metabolic markers in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in leptomeningeal metastases (LM) of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Methods: Forty-six CSF samples from patients with NSCLC-LM were collected. Another 48 CSF samples from patients with nonmalignant neurological diseases were selected as control group.

Efficient labeling of the vasculature is important for understanding the organization of vascular networks. Here, we propose VALID, a vessel-labeling method that enables visualization of vascular networks with tissue clearing and light-sheet microscopy. VALID transforms traditional lipophilic dye solution into hydrogel by introducing gelatin and restrains the dye aggregation, resulting in complete and uniform vessel-labeling patterns with high signal-to-background ratios.

Nanoparticles (NPs) derived from RNA interference (RNAi) are considered a potentially revolutionary technique in the field of plant protection in the future. However, the application of NPs in RNAi is hindered by the conflict between the high cost of RNA production and the large quantity of materials required for field application. This study aimed to evaluate the antiviral efficacy of commercially available nanomaterials, such as chitosan quaternary ammonium salt (CQAS), amine functionalized silica nano powder (ASNP), and carbon quantum dots (CQD), that carried double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) via various delivery methods, including infiltration, spraying, and root soaking.

Background: This study aims to explore the relationship between psychiatric disorders and the risk of epilepsy using Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis.
Methods: We collected summary statistics of seven psychiatric traits from recent largest genome-wide association study (GWAS), including major depressive disorder (MDD), anxiety disorder, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), bipolar disorder (BIP), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), schizophrenia (SCZ), and insomnia. Then, MR analysis estimates were performed based on International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) consortium data (n = 15,212 and n = 29,677), the results of which were subsequently validated in FinnGen consortium (n = 6260 and n = 176,107).
Non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) has a terrible consequence called leptomeningeal metastases (LM). It is crucial to look for novel biomarkers because none of the known biomarkers could effectively reflect the oncogenesis, progression and therapeutic responses of LM. Exosomal miRNAs from plasma have a critical function in lung cancer, according to growing data.

Dichalcogenides (disulfides and diselenides), as reactants for organic transformations, are important and widely used because of their potential to react with nucleophiles, electrophilic reagents, and radical precursors. In recent years, in combination with photochemical technology, the application of dichalcogenides as stable radical reagents has opened up a new route to the synthesis of various sulfur- and selenium-containing compounds. In this paper, synthetic strategies for disulfides and diselenides and their applications with photochemical technology are reviewed: (i) Cyclization of dichalcogenides with alkenes and alkynes; (ii) direct selenylation/sulfuration of C-H/C-C/C-N bonds; (iii) visible-light-enabled seleno- and sulfur-bifunctionalization of alkenes/alkynes; and (iv) Direct construction of the C(sp)-S bond.

The meningeal lymphatic vessels (MLVs) are an important part of the BWRS. A decrease in MLV function is associated with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, intracranial hemorrhages, brain tumors and trauma.

Studies in the past decade have shown that lipid droplets stored in liver cells under starvation are encapsulated by autophagosomes and fused to lysosomes via the endocytic system. Autophagy responds to a variety of environmental factors inside and outside the cell, so it has a complex signal regulation network. To this end, we first explored the role of Hedgehog (Hh) in autophagy and lipid metabolism.

KDM3B is located on chromosome 5q31 and encodes KDM3B, which is involved in histone demethylation and epigenetic regulation. Pathogenic KDM3B variants cause a dominantly inherited disorder presenting with intellectual disability (ID), short stature, and facial dysmorphism, named Diets-Jongmans syndrome. We describe two patients with KDM3B variants presenting with Diets-Jongmans syndrome.
