Introduction: Pyroptosis is a distinctive form of inflammatory cell death, mediated by the activation of the inflammasome, which initiates a potent inflammatory response. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) modulate pyroptosis by targeting microRNAs and their target genes through a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) mechanism. Our previous research has confirmed that Polysaccharide of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz (PAMK) can alleviate inflammatory liver injury in mice caused by lipopolysaccharide (LPS), but the specific molecular mechanism remains unclear.

The protective effects of the polysaccharide of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz (PAMK) against lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced intestinal injury in goslings was determined using 16S rRNA analysis of cecal contents and serum metabolomics analysis. PAMK was administered to goslings following LPS-induced intestinal injury, and its effects were assessed. PAMK significantly reduced the serum levels of inflammatory factors including interleukin (IL)-6 and C-reactive protein and decreased the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines including interleukin(IL)-1[Formula: see text], IL-6, and toll-like receptor 2 in jejunal tissues.

Involution of the bursa of Fabricius (BF) with increasing age in avian species leads to decreases in lymphocyte counts and pathogen recognition, thereby compromising immune function and increasing susceptibility to infections. Polysaccharides of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz (PAMK), a major component of the traditional Chinese medicine Atractylodes macrocephala, increase immunity. This study aimed to explore the impact of PAMK on the BF during involution in Magang geese.

The gut serves not only as digestive but also as critical immune organ, playing a vital role in maintaining the growth performance and immune function of poultry. Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz (AMK) is known for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties. This study utilized a Cyclophosphamide (CTX)-induced gut injury model to explore the effects of Polysaccharide of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz (PAMK) and the Jiawei Si-jun-zi Decoction (JSD) on alleviating gut injury and modulating immune function.

Thymic involution is one of the important causes of decreased immunity in the body. Noncoding RNAs (miRNAs and lncRNAs) play crucial roles in regulating organ growth and development. Polysaccharide of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz (PAMK) is widely acknowledged for its anti-oxidant, anti-aging, and immune-enhancing effects.

Background: Post-stroke depression (PSD) constitutes a significant complication that influences both patient survival and functional recovery following a stroke. Despite its prevalence, PSD still lacks a long-term, safe and effective treatment measure. Remote ischemic conditioning (RIC) is a simple and noninvasive procedure that exert neuroprotective effects.

Acute lung injury (ALI) has high morbidity and mortality. Lifei Qingchang Tang (LFQCT), a traditional Chinese medicine, has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties but its mechanism in ALI remains unclear. , LFQCT reduced intracellular Ca, ROS, and NO in LPS-induced RAW 264.

BackgroundThe rising incidence of ectopic pregnancy (EP) in China underscores the critical need for early and accurate diagnosis to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Colour Doppler ultrasound, β-hCG, and progesterone testing are essential tools in the detection of EP, with transvaginal ultrasound offering precise visualization of EP lesions. Lower levels of β-hCG and progesterone in EP cases compared to normal pregnancies serve as key diagnostic markers.

The bursa of Fabricius (BF) plays crucial roles in the goslings' immune system. During waterfowl breeding, the presence of lipopolysaccharides (LPSs) in the environment can induce inflammatory damage in geese. Polysaccharides of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz (PAMKs), as the main active component of the Chinese medicine Atractylodes macrocephala, have significant immune-enhancing effects.

To investigate the correlation between fetoplacental circulation and maternal left ventricular myocardial work (MW) parameters in patients with preeclampsia (PE) and the prediction of fetal hypoxia. Seventy-eight PE patients (PE group) were assigned to intrauterine-hypoxia (27) and non-intrauterine-hypoxia (51) groups, and 45 healthy pregnant women were controls. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve evaluated the diagnostic efficacy of each parameter for fetal intrauterine hypoxia.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) not only could cause abnormal lipid metabolism in the liver, but also could cause liver inflammation. Previous studies have shown that Polysaccharide of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz (PAMK) could alleviate animal liver inflammatory damage and alleviate NAFLD in mice caused by high-fat diet(HFD), but regulation of liver inflammation caused by NAFLD has rarely been reported. In this study, an animal model of non-alcoholic fatty liver inflammation in the liver of mice was established to explore the protective effect of PAMK on the liver of mice.

Glioblastoma is the most common cancer in the brain, resistant to conventional therapy and prone to recurrence. Therefore, it is crucial to explore novel therapeutics strategies for the treatment and prognosis of GBM. In this study, through analyzing online datasets, we elucidated the expression and prognostic value of POLR2J and its co-expressed genes in GBM patients.

Background: Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) can induce systemic inflammation and affect the growth and development of poultry. As a kind of traditional Chinese medicine, polysaccharide of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz (PAMK) can effectively improve the growth performance of animals and improve the immunity of animal bodies.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of PAMK on LPS-induced inflammatory response, proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis of chicken embryonic myogenic cells.

Skeletal muscle is a critical component of goose meat and a significant economic trait of geese. The regulatory roles of miRNAs and lncRNAs in the maturation stage of goose skeletal muscle are still unclear. Therefore, this study conducted experiments on the leg muscles of Magang geese at two stages: 3-day post-hatch (P3) and 3 months (M3).

Lactation is a unique reproductive behavior in pigeons, with the crop serving as the organ responsible for secreting pigeon milk. Both male and female pigeons can produce crop milk and rear their offspring through a division of labor. Since the time of the secretion of pigeon crop milk is different in the process of feeding the young, whether the metabolism and formation of pigeon milk use the same mechanism is a very interesting scientific question.

Geese evolved from migratory birds, and when they consume excessive high-energy feed, glucose is converted into triglycerides. A large amount of triglyceride deposition can induce incomplete oxidation of fatty acids, leading to lipid accumulation in the liver and the subsequent formation of fatty liver. In the Chaoshan region of Guangdong, China, Shitou geese develop a unique form of fatty liver through 24 h overfeeding of brown rice.

Early and accurate diagnosis of a vascular ring is the key to treatment. Prenatal diagnosis mainly relies on fetal echocardiography, but the rate of missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis is still very high, and the prognosis has not been evaluated.
