The increasing demand for public safety has created an urgent need for high-performance technologies capable of detecting hazardous liquids with high accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Conventional liquid detection methods often fall short in addressing these requirements due to limitations in precision, operational complexity, and scalability. This study introduces a wireless intelligent system for the detection of suspicious liquids, leveraging advancements in programmable metasurface and software defined radio technologies.

The scalable production of VGSs may help the development of devices such as field-effect transistors, sensors, biomedical materials, electrochemical energy storage, thermal conductive materials and catalyst supports. The thermal chemical vapor deposition (CVD) approach has become a mature, efficient and highly valuable industrial strategy for VGSs fabrication.

Orthogonal tests were used to carry out heat treatment experiments on aluminum matrix ceramic composites prepared by adding different contents of micro-nano BN particles. Then, a crystal model was established, and the heat treatment process was simulated by the molecular dynamics (MD) method.

Laser cladding (LC) is a promising technique for repairing aluminum alloy components, yet challenges like cracks and uneven surfaces persist due to unstable melt flow and thermal stress. This study employs both fluid flow and stress field models to investigate multi-track LC repair mechanisms. Using a finite volume method (FVM), the dynamic evolution of the molten pool was quantified, revealing a maximum flow velocity of 0.

The expression pattern and clinical significance of lncRNA PSMB8-AS1 was examined in essential hypertension (EH) patients with or without IS, as well as its role and mechanism in IS-induced neuron cell injury. Serum PSMB8-AS1 levels in 260 EH cases without IS and 280 participants with IS were detected via reverse transcription - quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR).

The value of the SIRI in predicting the prognosis of gastric cancer (GC) remains controversial. This study revealed the precise effect of the SIRI in predicting GC prognosis through a meta-analysis.

We develop a latent biocompatible cleavage reaction involving the hitherto unexplored interaction between hydroxylamines and cyclopropenones. Our study addresses the regioselectivity challenges commonly observed in asymmetric cyclopropenone transformations, substantiated by variations in substrate, Density Functional Theory calculations, and NMR analysis. This reaction is characterized by high efficiency, broad substrate scope, stability, latent biocompatibility, and mild reaction conditions.

Myelodysplasia-related (MR) gene mutations are classified as adverse genetic factors by the European LeukaemiaNet-2022 guidelines. However, their prognostic value in de novo AML remains controversial.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLaser-based direct energy deposition (DED-LB/M) has been a promising option for the surface repair of structural aluminum alloys due to the advantages it offers, including a small heat-affected zone, high forming accuracy, and adjustable deposition materials. However, the unequal powder particle size during powder-based DED-LB/M can cause unstable flow and an uneven material flow rate per unit of time, resulting in defects such as pores, uneven deposition layers, and cracks. This paper presents a multiscale, multiphysics numerical model to investigate the underlying mechanism during the powder-based DED-LB/M surface repair process.

The results shown that the BN in the new composite material is more uniformly distributed in the second phase (AlCu), which can promote grain refinement and enhance the bonding with the aluminium-based interface, and the formation of stable phases such as AlB, AlN, CuN, etc. makes the tensile strength and hardness of the material to be significantly improved (8.

The use of exosomes to relieve skin injuries has received considerable attention. The PluronicF-127 hydrogel (PF-127 hydrogel) is a novel biomaterial that can be used to carry biomolecules. This study sought to investigate the impact of exosomes originating from human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) developed from adipose tissue (hADSC-Exos) combined with a PF-127 hydrogel on tissue repair and explore the underlying mechanism using experiments.

Interestingly, autophagy plays a role in wound healing, and recent research has demonstrated that exosomes are closely associated with intracellular autophagy in biogenesis and molecular signaling mechanisms. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate whether ADSC-Exos promote the repair of diabetic wounds by regulating autophagy to provide a new method and theoretical basis for the treatment of diabetic wounds.

The diversity of neural stem cells is a hallmark of the cerebral cortex development in gyrencephalic mammals, such as Primates and Carnivora. Among them, ferrets are a good model for mechanistic studies. However, information on their neural progenitor cells (NPC), termed radial glia (RG), is limited.

While single-arm studies have reported promising outcomes, a comprehensive meta-analysis affirming these benefits is lacking. This meta-analysis aims to compare the clinical outcomes of HHR and Laparoscopic Hernia Repair (LHR) in the management of IVH.

Reagents broadly inhibiting Wnt signaling pathways reduce growth and metastasis of many tumors, but their therapeutic development has been hampered by the side effect. Inhibitors targeting specific Wnt-FZD pair(s) enriched in cancer cells may reduce side effect, but the therapeutic effect of narrow-spectrum Wnt-FZD inhibitors remains to be established in vivo.

Recent experimental and theoretical studies have shown that a La-H system displays remarkable superconducting properties, and it is also possible to improve the superconducting state by introducing other elements into this system. In this study, we systematically investigated the crystal structures and physical properties of an H-S-La system by using first-principles calculations combined with the CALYPSO structure exploration technique. We predicted four stable stoichiometries containing HSLa, HSLa, HSla, and HSLa.
