Background: Locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (LA-NPC) has a heterogeneous prognosis, with approximately one-fourth of patients experiencing poor outcomes. Studies have explored the application of induction chemoimmunotherapy followed by chemoradiotherapy, but its efficacy was controversial.
Methods: The protocol was registered in the Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO, CRD42024619387).

Relay catalysis integrates multiple catalytic reactions to efficiently transform intermediates and enhance conversion and selectivity. However, designing these pathways and multifunctional catalysts is often lengthy and costly, heavily relying on in-depth literature analysis by experienced researchers. To address this, we developed an approach that combines a knowledge graph (KG) and large language models (LLMs) to automatically recommend multistep catalytic reaction pathways.

The dataset GSE143303 for asthma were sourced from the GEO database, while ARGs were retrieved from the Harmonizome web portal and the GeneCards database. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) identification and GO, KEGG enrichment analysis were performed to reveal potential biological pathways.

Neuroimaging evidence regarding the activation of brain regions associated with the Theory of Mind (ToM) in individuals with schizophrenia remains inconsistent. Some studies identified decreased activation in various regions, such as the insula, frontal gyrus, superior temporal gyrus, and precuneus, during ToM tasks in schizophrenia compared with healthy people; others reported increased activation in these areas. Additionally, neural activity of individuals with schizophrenia compared with individuals at risk of schizophrenia has not been uniformly demonstrated.

Chiral carbazoles can be synthesized from the reactions of indolyl ynones and nitroolefins through an organo-catalyzed Michael addition followed by a gold-catalyzed Friedel-Crafts reaction/aromatization process. The reactions of indolyl ynones and N-tosyl imines lead to the generation of pyrroloindolines via an organo-catalyzed Mannich reaction and a silver-catalyzed dearomatizing spirocyclization/N,N-acetalization cascade reaction.

Methods: Data were draw from the ACACIA project (March 2021-April 2023) across seven provinces in China. A total of 2139 visits were made to 1167 primary healthcare institutions.
Tumor cells are ideal candidates for developing cancer vaccines due to their antigenic profiles, yet existing whole-cell vaccines lack efficacy. This study aimed to develop a novel whole-cell vaccine platform that combines immunogenicity, structural integrity, and tumor-targeting capabilities. We created "Magnetic Sculpture-like (MASK) Cells" by treating tumor cells with high-concentration FeCl, inducing rapid morphological fixation without traditional chemical crosslinking.

Purpose: To study the CBCT imaging features of occlusal plane inclination, molar inclination, and molar height in adolescent patients with Class Ⅱ subdivision malocclusion, in order to provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
Methods: A total of 80 adolescent patients with malocclusion admitted to Suzhou Stomatological Hospital from January 2019 to December 2022 were selected, including 40 cases of Class Ⅱ subdivision malocclusion as the experimental group and 40 cases of Class Ⅰ malocclusion as the control group. The angles of the anterior, posterior and maxillary occlusal planes, as well as the inclination of the upper and lower molars in the mesial and distal direction, the inclination of the buccal and lingual direction, and the height of the molars were analyzed based on CBCT data.

Soy isoflavones exert estrogen-like synergistic or antagonistic effects by binding to estrogen receptors, and potentially impact the function of female reproductive system, but their distribution profile in human remains little clarified. To determination of genistein (GEN) and equol (EQ) in human urine, serum and follicular fluid (FF), an analytical method based on high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) was developed and validated. The enrichment and clean-up are performed on a solid-phase extraction (SPE) column; the elution is a gradient one, with the mobile phase (A) of 0.

Given that the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and its surrounding areas are one of the key areas for air pollution prevention and control in China, testing the impact of air quality on the relationship between new-type urbanization and carbon emission intensity is related to the sustainable development of the region. Based on the panel data of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and the surrounding "2+26" cities from 2009 to 2021, the nesting weight matrix of air quality distance was constructed, and the internal relationship was tested with the help of the spatial Dubin model and the threshold effect model. The research results showed that: ① The new-type urbanization in this region had a strong inhibitory effect on carbon emission intensity.

However, it remains unclear whether combining immunotherapy with standard induction chemotherapy enhances its efficacy. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy, toxicity, and survival outcomes of induction chemoimmunotherapy in patients with locoregionally advanced NPC.

Through catalyzing the transfer of methyl groups onto the guanidinium of arginine, protein arginine methyltransferase 5 (PRMT5) was essential to the cell growth of cancer cells. By utilizing a scaffold hopping strategy, a novel series of 3,4-dihydroisoquinolin-1()-one derivatives were designed and synthesized. Through a systematic SAR study, demonstrated excellent PRMT5 inhibitory activity, potent antiproliferative activity against Z-138, favorable pharmacokinetic profiles, and low hERG toxicity.

Tailoring docking protocols to identify promising kinase inhibitor candidates for optimization has long been a substantial obstacle to drug discovery. Therefore, we introduced "Kinase-Bench," a pioneering benchmark suite designed for an advanced virtual screen, to improve the selectivity and efficacy of kinase inhibitors.

Despite the availability of three FDA-approved FLT3 inhibitors, their clinical utility is hampered by resistance stemming from tyrosine kinase domain (TKD) mutations. Through an integrative analysis of case studies, we identified a potential advantage of type I FLT3 inhibitors in overcoming TKD mutation-induced resistance.

Chlorinated polyfluorinated ether sulfonate (F-53B), a chromium-fog depressant widely utilized as an alternative to perfluorooctanesulfonate, can transfer from mother to fetus. Recent research has demonstrated that prenatal exposure to F-53B results in synaptic damage in weaning mice. However, the mechanism underpinning F-53B-triggered synaptic damage during fetal development remains unclear.
