Prevalence and risk factors for antenatal anxiety in the first trimester among Chinese pregnant women.

Background: Antenatal anxiety (AA) is a common mental disorder during pregnancy and adversely affects the well-being of both pregnant women and their offspring. The prevalence of AA is exceptionally high in the first trimester, yet there is a lack of studies focusing exclusively on AA in the first trimester.

Aims: This study aimed to investigate the prevalence and risk factors of AA among Chinese pregnant women during the first trimester.

Mediating roles of rumination and emotional intelligence in the relationship between resilience and professional efficacy in pharmacy practice.

Background: Understanding the factors that enhance professional efficacy is essential for optimizing job performance and satisfaction in a high-pressure pharmaceutical practice environment. Consequently, this study investigates the relationship between psychological resilience and professional efficacy among pharmacists, with rumination and emotional intelligence as potential mediating factors.

Methods: We employed a cross-sectional design and structural equation modeling to analyze data from a sample of 576 pharmacists conducted in the Punjab province between September 2023 and January 2024.

SCBMLD: a photon signal extraction method for ICESat-2 satellite-derived bathymetry.

The integration of satellite remote sensing imagery with ICESat-2 photons offers an effective, economical, and large-scale approach for mapping shallow seabed topography. However, ICESat-2 photon data are vulnerable to noise from sea surface fluctuations, water quality, and instrument errors, which can compromise the accuracy of bathymetric products. To address this challenge, we propose a scale compression-based machine learning denoising (SCBMLD) method for accurate seafloor photon signal extraction from ICESat-2 data, enhancing bathymetry inversion in multispectral imagery.

Direct and Sustainable Regeneration of Spent LiCoO Cathodes Using an Eco-Friendly Deep Eutectic Solvent-Based Approach.

Current recycling methods of spent lithium cobalt oxide cathodes, primarily for high-temperature roasting and metal leaching, are often energy-intensive and environmentally damaging. This paper introduces a novel, low-impact method using a deep eutectic solvent (DES) composed of glycerol and lithium chloride, which, instead of serving for metal ion leaching, serves as a lithium carrier and reductant. This approach directly supplements lithium ions and reduces Co at mild conditions (80 °C) and ambient pressure, facilitating the direct regeneration of spent LiCoO materials.

Evaluation of the Correlation between Gut Microbiota and Renal Function in Chronic Kidney Disease Patients.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) has recently emerged as a significant, global public health threat, and the gut microbiota are now recognized as playing a crucial role in the pathogenesis and progression of CKD. In this study, we investigated the correlation between differential gut microbiota and renal function impairment by analyzing the structure, diversity, and other characteristics of the gut microbiota in patients with CKD. Our findings indicated that CKD patients exhibit decreased species diversity and evenness in their gut microbiota compared to healthy individuals, with notable differences in community composition between the groups.
