The synthesis of multifunctional materials that exhibit two or more distinct physicochemical properties is critical for the development of advanced smart materials. To date, the research regarding the near-infrared II (NIR-II) photothermal properties of spin crossover (SCO) materials remains scarce. Here, we synthesized an inverse-Hofmann-type cationic framework, [Fe{Ag(CN)}(TTF(py))] (1, TTF(py) = tetra(4-pyridyl)tetrathiafulvalene), which exhibits hysteretic SCO behavior.

Therefore, comprehensive and quantitative monitoring and analysis of the spatio-temporal changes and driving factors of eco-environment quality are critically important for regional eco-environment protection. Based on Google Earth Engine (GEE), and taking the ecological characteristics into account, an adjusted remote sensing ecological index(RSEI)was constructed by introducing the composite salinity index (CSI) and desertification difference index (DDI) into the classical remote sensing ecological index (RSEI).

The dynamic alterations in land utilization patterns within swiftly urbanizing regions significantly influence the ecological environmental quality. Investigating these land use transformations and their implications for ecological integrity can furnish essential theoretical underpinnings and a foundation for decision-making aimed at fostering sustainable and high-quality growth in rapidly urbanizing areas. Anhui Province was chosen as the research locale, with CLCD data (1990-2020) employed to delineate land use modifications.

However, precise control of hot carrier behaviors and catalytic reactions driven by them on the subnanometer scale remains challenging. Herein, the transportation of plasmonic hot carriers in two-dimensional (2D) van der Waals (vdW) heterojunctions consisting of graphene and MoS, as well as its influence on photocatalytic reactions, has been in situ monitored by surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) with atomic layer accuracy.

Background: Micro-/nanoplastics (MNPLs) are widely found in the environment and have toxic effects on various organs and systems. However, the role of the gut-cardiac axis in cardiotoxicity induced by MNPLs has not yet been elucidated through research.
Results: In this study, we examined the effects of 80 nm polystyrene nanoplastics (PS-NPs) on the heart and human cardiomyocytes (AC16) cells.
Electronic spin isomerism in low-valent cobalt complexes can potentially be achieved through the rational design of ligand fields, but such instances have rarely been reported up to now. Herein, we crystallized two cobaltaboratrane complexes featuring Co → B dative covalent bonds by leveraging the rigidity of the C═C bond from -/isomeric bisphosphine ligands. The Co cores in / are stabilized in six- and five-coordinate octahedral and trigonal bipyramidal geometries, respectively, resulting in low- and high-spin ground states, as demonstrated by magnetic measurements.

A photochromic dysprosium-based single-molecule magnet [Dy(CyPhPO)(HO)](PMoO) ⋅ 3CyPhPO⋅HO (1-Dy) is synthesized via cocrystal engineering of a polyoxomolybdate (POMo) anion and an Ising-type cation with pseudo pentagonal bipyramidal geometry. Upon ultraviolet irradiation, Mo-to-Mo single-electron photoreduction occurs in the POMo moiety, resulting in significant changes of optical and magnetic properties. The emergence of intervalence charge-transfer transitions in heteropoly blue state 1-Dy* facilitates photothermal conversion in near-infrared region.

However, the effect of inhaled MPs on cognitive function has not been adequately studied. Here, a C57BL/6 J mouse model of inhalation exposure to polystyrene MPs (PS-MPs, 5 µm, 60 d) is established by intratracheal instillation.

Accurate assessment of material and energy exchange between land and atmosphere is essential for water resources management and sustainable development of agriculture. To understand the characteristics of energy distribution and the dynamic change process of water and heat fluxes within the maize farmland ecosystem in the old course of Yellow River and their response to meteorological factors, we utilized the eddy covariance measurements and the full-element automatic weather station to continuously observe energy fluxes and conventional meteorological elements of summer maize farmland in the old course of Yellow River during 2019-2020. We analyzed the variation of energy fluxes and the effects of environmental factors, such as temperature, precipitation, and wind speed.

Microplastics (MPs) have been found in the air, human nasal cavity, and lung, suggesting that the respiratory tract is one of the important exposure routes for MPs. The lung is a direct target organ for injury from inhaled MPs, but data on lung injury from longer-term exposure to environmental doses of MPs are limited, and the mechanisms remain unclear. Here, C57BL/6 J mice were treated with 5 μm polystyrene (PS)-MPs by intratracheal instillation (0.

However, the dynamic RNA interactomes in adenoma-carcinoma sequence of human CRC remain unexplored. The coexistence of adenoma, cancer, and normal tissues in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients provides an appropriate model to address this issue.

Herein, we examined the roles of NLRP3 activation in IBD and modulation of NLRP3 by sulforaphane (SFN), a compound with multiple pharmacological activities that is extracted from cruciferous plants. To simulate human IBD, we established a mouse colitis model by administering dextran sodium sulfate in the drinking water.

The current strategies for the treatment of vitiligo using phototherapy usually involve treatment for two-three times per week; however, in practice, the number of patient sessions does not meet this standard. The present study found that phototherapy once a week was also effective. The present study was designed to examine the efficacy of weekly light therapy.
