Objective: To study the diagnostic value of salivary pepsin measurement (Peptest) for detecting gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) patients.
Methods: Patients with reflux symptoms were consecutively recruited from January 2020 to November 2022. Patients benefited from hypopharyngeal-esophageal impedance-pH monitoring (HEMII-pH), fasting and bedtime saliva collections to measure pepsin.

Background: Hypnosis was never used in sleep endoscopy assessment of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS). The aim of the study was to assess the feasibility, safety, and patient satisfaction of hypnosis-induced sleep endoscopy (HISE).
Methods: From January to July 2021, 24 adults with moderate-to-severe OSAS at the polysomnography were included in the HISE protocol.

Review Methods: A literature search was conducted about indications, clinical and surgical outcomes of patients who underwent FTS using PICOTS and PRISMA Statements.
Objectives: Tracheoesophageal puncture (TEP) is considered the gold standard for voice rehabilitation after total laryngectomy. One of the main causes of treatment failure, and a potentially serious complication, is the TEP enlargement and/or leakage around the voice prosthesis. The injection of biocompatible material to increase the volume of the puncture surrounding tissue has been studied as a popular option for conservative treatment of enlarged tracheoesophageal fistula.

Objective: Impaired nasal breathing is a common condition among pediatric patients, being rhinitis the most common cause. Materials And Methods: Eighty patients were consecutively enrolled in the study and randomized into two groups of treatment of 40 patients: Group A -tympanoplasty with a microscopic endaural approach; Group B -tympanoplasty with an exclusive trans-meatal endoscopic approach. Preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative outcomes were evaluated.
Objectives: To evaluate the role of clinical scores assessing the risk of disease severity in patients with clinical suspicion of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSA). The hypothesis was tested by applying artificial intelligence (AI) to demonstrate its effectiveness in distinguishing between mild-moderate OSA and severe OSA risk.
Methods: A support vector machine model (SVM) was developed from the samples included in the analysis (N = 498), and they were split into 75% for training (N = 373) with the remaining for testing (N = 125).

Objectives: To investigate the prevalence and the evolution of olfactory disorders (OD) related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in patients infected during the first and the second European waves.
Methods: From March 2020 to October 2020, COVID-19 patients with OD were recruited and followed over the 12-month post-infection. The following data were collected: demographic, treatments, vaccination status, and olfactory function.
Objective: The surgical approach to refractory hypertrophy of the inferior turbinates is the main therapeutic choice in the management of its symptoms. Although submucosal approaches have demonstrated efficacy, long-term results are debated in the literature and show variable stability. Therefore, we compared the long-term outcomes of three submucosal turbinoplasty methods with regard to the efficacy and stability managing the respiratory disorders.

Objective: To investigate perception, adoption and awareness of otolaryngologist-head neck surgeons (OTO-HNS) toward transoral robotic surgery (TORS).
Methods: An online survey was sent to 1383 OTO-HNS on the perception, adoption and awareness about TORS to members of many otolaryngological societies. The following aspects were assessed: TORS access; training; awareness/perception; indications and advantages/barriers to TORS practice.
The aim of this study was to prospectively evaluate the olfactory function in a series of individuals infected with SARS-CoV-2 and who had undergone psychophysical olfactory assessment prior to infection. Individuals unexposed to SARS-CoV-2 infection underwent a psychophysical evaluation of smell with the Sniffin' Sticks test. The subjects were followed prospectively and included in the study if they developed SARS-CoV-2 infection with a second test 60 days after recovery.

Materials And Methods: The study included 42 patients (84 teeth) who had undergone a surgical extraction of the lower third molars. In each patient, the two extractions were randomly assigned to two study groups.

Methods: Data were obtained from a prospective multicenter controlled study of dupilumab in adults with moderate-severe CRSwNP. EQUATOR and STROBE network guidelines were adopted.

The clinical records of 102 patients who had undergone superficial parotidectomy for benign tumors between January 2016 and April 2022 were considered. Based on the tool used during the surgery, the patients were divided into three study groups: classic electrocautery hemostasis group (CH group), ultrasonic instrument group (HA group), and combined energy instrument group (TB group).
